http://www.wired.com/gamelife/2013/05/xbox-one-analysis/ Always Online? There’s one feature of Xbox One from which we can infer quite a few conclusions: You can install any game from the disc to the console’s hard drive, and then play that game whenever you like without having to put the disc in. Wired asked Microsoft if installation would be mandatory. “On the new Xbox, all game discs are installed to the HDD to play,” the company responded in an emailed statement. Sounds mandatory to us. What follows naturally from this is that each disc would have to be tied to a unique Xbox Live account, else you could take a single disc and pass it between everyone you know and …

Early reports are at least a dozen people injured.

I remember hearing about this from somebody out here but anyways.... I think it was Ava but I could be entirely wrong. Finally got around to buying some today and can't wait to bring 'em out when everyone's drunk at our little "friends get together". Thing is going to be hilarious.

cnn.com News is huge.

Below are a few resources for the Steam Summer Sale. To start, here is a wonderful Google doc that lists all the bundles for the sale as well as tips, rumors, and other general info: Original Google Doc Mirror (If above has trouble loading) Also helpful is the following thread on slickdeals that will be updated throughout the sale and link to all the items currently on sale: http://slickdeals.ne...igital-download Aside from the deals, Steam has also added Steam Badges to profiles. No idea what their purpose is yet as Valve does not seem to have said much about them. Lastly, if you have not already done so, I would add the Summer Camp group to your groups. Have fun, but …

As many Xbox Live Gold members probably have, I received the following email today in reference to the new pricing structure that takes effect for new and renewing Gold members on November 1st. View the full article

Best of luck to everyone who may be affected. Stay up to date with your local news, and follow their instructions. If they say get out, do not pack, do not hesitate. Just go. So far, the Tsunami may hit Hawaii, Mexico, Australia, the entire West Coast of the US and Canada and many other spots. Be safe everyone. If you are affected and can reach the forums (or any other way IM etc), give us a shout out so we know you're okay. If you need anything, please let us know. I'm currently on the phone with my family in the Bay Area. Pretty scary shit and feeling pretty helpless, which I hate. Update. While many bad things are still going on, the tsunami doesn't seem to be as bad a…

So I'm looking into getting some gaming headphones, or maybe asking for them for my birthday, and I wanted to get some recommendations. So far it looks like it's mainly between Turtle Beaches (x41s?) and Trittons (Ax720s or AxPros?). I don't want an entry level one, I would like some in full 5.1 surround, but I also don't really want to spend over $200 at the most ($180 or less, really lol). So I guess Trittons and Turtle Beaches aren't TOO different, but some TBs are wireless requiring AAAs (24 packs being purchasable for $10, probably last a couple months) and Trittons have an AC adapter to plug in (kind of like the idea of not needing batteries better). Does anyone hav…

Dyyno didn't work out for us, so I've put together something a little different. It's all JTV based. It can be accessed from the main http://www.gamercide.org page or directly http://www.gamercide.org/live Not really a spoiler, just the old post info:

***POSTPONED UNTIL SEPTEMBER.***

I wanted to start a thread to see if anyone else here likes to run, or even jog. I only started about last October, but I've been running a minimum of a mile pretty much every night (usually two or three). My fastest mile is about 6:52, and tonight I just did my longest run, a half marathon, completing that in about 1h41m. I run with Nike+ shoes with a sensor in them connected to my iPod nano 7g. The timing probably isn't perfect, because I run in my backyard on a path about 110ft across (220ft to go to the end and back, trying to make smooth turns each time to keep pace). I do that little path 25 times (though 24 x 220ft comes out just about at a mile, that one e…

Valve’s Gabe Newell is most likely doing one of two things at the moment. He’s either swimming in a huge pile of money received from piling $80+ of Day 1 DLC onto the widely anticipated release of Portal 2, or yelling at his computer monitor as he reads the hundreds of negative reviews currently being posted on Metacritic about it. PC players have flooded the user reviews of Metacritic with anger and confusion, delivering what is essentially a digital bitchslap that drove down the average review score for the game currently to a stellar 5.8! For comparison at the moment, Homefront which is a game considered to be a failure at launch and drove stocks in THQ crashing …

So I don't know about you guys but I always look forward to this. I plan on taking the day off work to watch the Microsoft press conference. I can't wait to finally see some information on the new hitman game and bungies next project. What is everyone else looking forward to and what have you heard. Also if anyone has a good source for information please share. I'm gonna be watching the conference for Microsoft live on either Xbox or g4 unless you know of a better way. I'd love to watch it to together if anyone's interested.

) are the names of all you and the categories that you have been entered in depending on what consoles you own. I will first pick a prize from the prize hat and then a winner from the matching console or PC hat or shoe boxes. Once you win a prize your name goes into the trash for that giveaway unless you are in the PC games category. Those of you in that category have numerous chances to win, because we have more prizes in that category. Keep in mind that during this giveaway the big prizes can be pulled at any time! How exciting! Today is the today! It's the Annual Gamercide.org Giveaway! This year it's being done a little bit differently. I have one hat that has…

Who's that guy in the blue shirt? Yep, I'm learning Shou Shu Kung Fu at the Sheng Chi Center in Valley Springs. They didn't have the full gis in yet, but this was my first day. All of the lessons are shown online. For self defense, exercise, and the sheer fun of learning it. I like it so far. Two days a week, Tuesdays and Thursdays, plus a cardio/tai chi/yoga thing on Wednesdays.

What I hope we can work toward again! A part of the larger community.

Blizzard made 2 million dollars in four hours.. by releasing DLC of a $25 fake horse. http://www.1up.com/do/newsStory?cId=3178849 What a sick world we live in!! lol. Blizzard are marketing geniuses.

I'd really like it if everyone made the effort to show up and support Gamercide in this. I'm pretty sure Paradox will be stopping in to see how the giveaway is going, and I don't want to be embarrassed by a low turnout. Even if you go to bed early, you can still park your bums in the chat, and go to bed. Each person that shows up, adds to the viewer count. The higher that viewer count, the higher up on the main page our stream will be. The higher up on that main page, the more random people will come and join us. Please try and show up. I'd like to do more things in the future with Paradox Interactive. It's both tonight and tomorrow night at 10PM PST. If you don't know w…

It's a tough decision, but I think I'm going to finally give it a rest. On June 6th, 2010 (if everything keeps going the way it is): I WILL HAVE PLAYED MY XBOX 360 EVERY DAY FOR THE PAST ONE THOUSAND DAYS STRAIGHT!!!! Yup, you read that correct. 1,000 days of straight gaming. Even if I didn't play for hours on a given day, I still found time to turn on my 360 for a quick round of an XBLA game or something. So, I'm going to let my "gaming streak" come to an end. I'm currently ranked as the #47th longest streak in the world on 360Voice with 951 consecutive days currently. It would have been longer, but I lost my streak back in 2006 during a super flood in my area. We…

From Joystiq: EA just announced the next step of its "Project Ten Dollar" initiative, one that's likely to affect a lot of people much more deeply than the allure of some extra DLC. Starting with Tiger Woods PGA Tour 11, out June 8, EA Sports games for PS3 and Xbox 360 will include a title-specific "Online Pass" that enables access to "online services, features, and bonus content." If the code has already been redeemed (i.e. if you bought the game used) additional Online Passes will be available for (you guessed it!) ten dollars. Each game will include a seven-day free trial. The online services under the Online Pass vary by game, but an EA rep told us they can include ba…
