So what do you guys think? I am considering getting one. I don't have a blu ray player yet. I am really interested in getting a chance to play certain games like God of War 3, Uncharted Series, and others that I can't get on Xbox 360. The exclusives are slimming down though. No point in having two systems that have identical games. I used to be all about the PS2 back in the day but I went Xbox for the last couple years for the online community. And according to Sony, PSN will be down for a few days. Sony is citing Anonymous as the culprit. While Anonymous is denying the claim, they did offer to allow access to PSN if you gave them your credit card information. I assume if hacking were the reason for the PSN servers being down, it has alot to do with the recently resolved GeoHot vs Sony jailbreaking court case. Honestly, I lol'd. I'm rooting for the little guy, even if that means shutting some of us out for a few days to accomplish it, whatever "it" may be. So there's a $100 off coupon for the PS3 for Powerup Rewards members (which I am, it's the $15 a year, Game Informer/ Edge Card subscription), and you could get the 160GB model for $200, or the 320GB model for $250 after that discount. I'm actually kind of tempted by this because of some of the exclusives I've heard about and want to try like Uncharted. Of course after the fiasco I'd not put any credit cards on it, and keep the account password different from anything else I have (or just play the fecker offline only lol). Welp, for an Alpha test I have to say I'm pretty god damned impressed. I was never a huge fan of Halo, but this game is seriously fun. I was sucked in last night and didn't even get a chance to try out Battlefield (I got a code for that too). Best way to describe it is like Halo, with different character classes, mixed with a lot of Borderlands influence combined with maybe a hint of MMO. Super fun from what I've played. Probably going to pick this one up for sure.

Okay, so I JUST got a PS3, and only have Soul Calibur V. I thought I'd love it, considering it's Soul Calibur. But, it turns out, it's okay. I also have LittleBig Planet 2 and an old PS game. My question to you all is, what is a good single/multiplayer PS3 game I should look for when I actually have money? xD What are some of YOUR recommendations to a noob?

The only thing is that it's within an enclosure, so you'll need a knife or small flathead screwdriver to remove the enclosure, but within it is a standard 9.5mm drive that will work fantastic. I'm purchased it and am going to upgrade later this week and take the drive from my PS4 and put in in my old PS3 (launch fat model and still kicking!!)

So I've been playing pretty solid for over a week now, and I have to say the way drops are handled in Destiny absolutely is miserable. Once you hit level 20, you're pretty much capped in your level gaining unless you find items that contain "Light" (ie. like a chest piece may give you +9 Light as one of it's attributes). Equipping stuff with more and more Light lets you gain higher "levels" so your weapons and such can damage higher level monsters, etc. Aaaaaannnyways. It's all random pretty much, aside from grinding out missions to be able to buy them (for a ridiculous sum for the record and would take a loooong time to gear up). And that leads me to the actual …

Dragons dogma: dark arisen free on ps3 with ps+ it's really an interesting game. Plays out kinda like an old school rpg with lots of customization options.

I just watched Jason beat the game over the weekend and I'm confused. Throughout the game I felt like I was missing something, like Naughty Dog wasn't telling a part of the story. It had nothing to do with Drake not being a Drake or anything like that. I figure that will be explained later on down the road, but there was just something missing. Maybe it was Nathan and Elena being estranged spouses. I don't know how to describe it. Did anybody else feel the same thing? I also thought it was the worst one compared to the other two.

So after having this game linger around my house for a loooooong time, unloved and unplayed, I decided to pop it into my PS3 this weekend and play through it. Wow. Talk about long cutscenes! I mean, I loved the game completely. Incredible story and incredible graphics, but I really felt the gameplay was sparse. It was like a movie that was interspersed with some gameplay moments. But yeah, I loved the game. Definitely was worth the $19.99 I paid for the game. Anyone else played it/beaten it?

I decided I haven't played anything lately and picked this up on a whim last night. I really just started, but I'm pretty impressed. I'm running the original PS4, and the game does look amazing. It is locked at lower frames, but I haven't seen one frame drop. Not to mention no loads to speak of so far, and all the cutscenes seem to be using the game engine so it's seamless. Game play wise I'm just getting started. I'll be honest, I'm pretty tired of the gather stuff to make stuff game play style that has taken over. So far though, it seems to be mostly done through the machines which is at least fun. Considering I haven't even done the first main quest it…

So, I've been playing a lot of Uncharted lately. This game is absolutely amazing. Story is pretty top notch, gameplay is very smooth and fluid, and the graphics are great as well. I've beaten the first one already, and I'm on the verge of beating the second one. Then it's off to multiplayer to get to level 60. I do have to warn you though, I'm pretty beast at multiplayer, ahem. Anyone else play and highly enjoy these 2 games?
