Contests

BELOW ARE THE RULES THAT ARE SET FORTH BY THE FORUM ADMINS/MODERATORS TO ENSURE A FAIR ENVIRONMENT FOR CONTESTS AND GIVEAWAYS FOR ALL MEMBERS OF THE GAMERCIDE COMMUNITY. 1. CONTEST/GIVEAWAY PERIOD. The contest/giveaway period is determined by the holder of the contest/giveaway and can be changed at any time by the presenter. 2. ELIGIBILITY. Eligibility is determined by the contest/giveaway holder and will be given up front in the main contest/giveaway description. We at Gamercide urge that eligibility include the entrants be active members of the community and at the very least have created a "New User" thread, if not a minimum number of posts. All entrants are subject t…

I have a card for one month of LIVE. Anyone need it? First post gets it. Easy as that.

In honor of our home re-opening I am having a contest to give away two prizes. One that i chose and one random winner. All the eligible entries will be written down on pieces of paper except the first winner whose entry i like best, then numbers will be written next to the names. I will roll dice and whose name coincides with the roll will win...... or i'll just use a random number generator To enter your contest you simply need to write down the recipe for your favorite burgers. You can either use a real recipe or use your imagination. If you don't want to be included in the contest (really??) but still want to join in the fun, just write not an entry on the top of the…

I would like to see two things happen over the next month 1) More people post about topics they find interesting 2) Clear out the extra items that have been sitting in my Steam inventory To accomplish both, I am going to hold a 4-Week Contest. -- HOW TO ENTER -- Simply post a topic on the forums about something you find interesting. Odds are someone else will find it interesting and there will be more material to read on slow weekends like today. Once you create the topic, reply to this topic with a link to the topic and I will count that as an entry. Wash and repeat every week over the next month to get an entry for each week of the contest I have been trying to do th…

EDIT I've decided to scrap this contest and roll all my prizes over to the Gamercide Giveaway. I would still love to see the streamers who volunteered stream and promote the giveaway instead of this contest. Get the word out! CLICK HERE FOR THE GAMERCIDE GIVEAWAY POST Ok, so, I went a little overboard and bought a bunch of games from Steam. I decided it would be a good time to put together a giant stream related giveaway. JTV will be the best platform since random users can come in and we can now allow stream access to anyone on the channel. We can promote our portal while doing so, but JTV will be hosting grounds for this largely due to the much more controlled cha…

So apparently the makers of Deadliest Warrior liked my review (http://gamercide.org/?p=1573). Chris sent them a message talking about and linking to my review, and they sent him FOUR code's to download the game, to be used for contests and whatnot. I will be holding a contest here for two of them, and Chris will hold one with the others sometime later on. Now, onto the contest. All you have to do to enter, is post your favorite method of dispatching your enemies. The winners will be chosen using random.org. The contest will end on Wednesday, July 28th. Enjoy! I highly recommend this game if anyone wants to just buy it, too, maybe after the contest is over. For only 800 MS…

Want to win a $5 XBLA game? All you have to do is make your own fsjal. It can be done with paint, photoshop, hand drawn (with or without drawing on a printed out template), whatever. Just please do not find one someone else made on the internet and post it (there are literally hundreds), as that would beat the whole purpose of the contest! I guess you can put your name into the image to help verify it's authenticity. Don't know what fsjal is? It's a meme involving a funny looking character that has practically become the My Little Pony of the internet. You can find out all you need to know about it, as well as some examples, here: http://knowyourmeme.com/memes/fsjal Here …

I have an extra code for the avatar shirt. So, if anybody female wants it, post here, or PM me. First come first serve. Shirt says "I am AWAKE" on the front.

This Friday, September 30th, Fryaga is hosting a giveaway at 9 AM PST on the Gamercide live stream. He is giving away FOUR copies of Alpha Protocol for PC (Steam). or will get you there.

Laaaaaaadies and Gentlemen! Prepare to be amazed! Prepare to be astounded. Prepare to laugh immensely at the ridiculousness of AwkwardStockPhotos.com! Gamercide's August contest is as follows: - Head to link above, or click here if you're LAZY, and find a picture. Any picture. There are pages and pages of options to choose from. - Pick your favorite and paste it into this thread, along with a caption (just text is fine underneath your post). It doesn't have to be Photoshopped or altered in any way unless you'd like, but this is not a contest of creativity. Simply posting a picture in this thread along with a quick caption is your entry for this month's contest…

Hey boys and girls, holy crap did I get some crappy merch this year! And YOU can win it! Yes sir! First up, Inflatable Dead Space 2 Plasma Cutter! Holy hell that is a crappy looking gun! Take it in the pool with you and have fun. Next up: Comic Jumper T-Shirt I won this from Microsoft for coming in THIRD place in a Hydro Thunder contest! THIRD! My shame is your reward. You won't find this ugly mofo anywhere else. It's hideous! All you have to do is post here saying 'Hot damn this is the crappiest contest ever!' or some variation like that! Contest ends Friday August 6th. Who knows, there might be some other cool stuff in this package, maybe some stuff that's not crappy …

So, I purchased an extra to gift a while back without realizing that it wouldn't pop up until release in my steam inventory. So, If anyone wants a copy, I have one on steam. Steam name: [Ftv]txspoon. Somehow had issues on streams giving it away today, then PK brought me back home

The winner of the contest was PeeKnuckle! Congratulations! I purchased the 4 pack of Borderlands and split it with some friends of mine, but we still had an extra copy. So, I decided there might as well be more free stuff to be given out here! Just post here and tell me what you like about the game and you'll be entered into a random drawing to win a Steam Copy of Borderlands for the PC! I'll do the drawing next Friday April 9th.

Hey everyone, this contest will be for any $5 xbox live arcade game (because that's really all I can afford at the moment). All you have to do it pick an alternate character for me to play in Super Street Fighter 4 (Character List). Whichever character gets the most votes will be my alt. All I ask is that you keep the character C tier and up, and please no Ryu or Ken (Tier List). Gen is also exempt from the contest because he is my main. Don't feel the need to pick a top tier, just pick someone who looks/plays to your liking. The contest will end next Friday at around this time. Once the contest is closed I will use a random generator to select a winner. EDIT: If you real…

Ok guys I have two guest passes for Diablo 3. The guest pass allows you to play Diablo 3 for free up to the Skeleton King Boss of Act 1 which actually is a decent amount of playing time. I will just give them to the first two people that PM me that want one. Not really a contest but this seemed like the best place to post this. Vec.

I have a code for a set of Isaac Clarke Dragon Age 2 armor, I'm not going to use it, and I figured at least I could do was give it away to someone on Gamercide. I'm not too sure if anyone would have been interested in this, so I didn't think of some big contest. If you're interested in the code, post here, and I'll PM the code to you. Here is a video for the armor: <object width="853" height="505"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NFbfxINhjIg?fs=1&hl=en_US&hd=1"></param><param'>http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NFbfxINhjIg?fs=1&hl=en_US&hd=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true">&lt…

Thanks to everyone who participated. Winners are: Cody Nick Awe4Some Ok, now bear with me. I know this sounds a little crazy. "Duke Nukem 3D for the PC? But its available for my XBOX!?" Yes, it sure is, for 10 dollars US with nothing added to it except native support for online DM and coop. This alone is probably worth the extra premium for the sake of ease, but the PC version is where its at. I will explain further. GOG.com has this title for 5.99US, and I would guarantee the same quality game you get from the Xbox will certainly work for your PC for less. "But this is a Giveaway, who cares what it costs?" Good point! On to my next point! The game for the PC has plenty…

There's a new season of fantasy football going. The giveaway will be Two steam collections decided by the Commissioner (me). All you have to do is win the season... easy really. If you want in just pm me and I'll add you to the league.

Look, I've been away a while. You missed me. I get it. Let me make it up to YOU (yes you!) by giving away both FEAR 1 and FEAR 2 for Xbox 360. I got these in the bargin bid at Gamestop, thinking I would play them. I did not. My apathy is your gain. I want to give them to someone who is into first person shooters that feature scary little girls. All you have to do is post a picture of yourself wth a jar of peanut butter on your head. That's right. Put the jar on your head, take a pic, and put it here. I will randomly choose a winner and send them both retail games. Nothing creative about this contest and that's what I'm into! Contest ends Feb. 20. USA only please.

It's the same as what I have on my avatar at the time of this posting(and will probably have on until at least the contest is over), note that its treated as an outfit, so you can't mix and match with other stuff besides props. Just post to enter and the winner will be picked at around Monday at 1PM eastern time I suppose, unless there aren't many entries by then.

First two people who successfully photoshop the following two images together to make an awesome Firin' my Lazor battle get their choice of any $5 XBLA game from Amazon.com. Go!
