FEAR 1 and FEAR 2 for Xbox 360

Wed, 12 Feb 2014 03:14:41 +0000

Look, I've been away a while. You missed me. I get it. Let me make it up to YOU (yes you!) by giving away both FEAR 1 and FEAR 2 for Xbox 360.

I got these in the bargin bid at Gamestop, thinking I would play them. I did not. My apathy is your gain. I want to give them to someone who is into first person shooters that feature scary little girls.

All you have to do is post a picture of yourself wth a jar of peanut butter on your head. That's right. Put the jar on your head, take a pic, and put it here. I will randomly choose a winner and send them both retail games.

Nothing creative about this contest and that's what I'm into!

Contest ends Feb. 20. USA only please.

Mini giveaway

Mon, 10 Feb 2014 21:38:05 +0000

The Haul: One of two different games will be sent out to two winners. Both are for PC and redeemable on Steam.

The Catch: Gosh, you know me so well! You're the pretend director of a new action/romance/biography movie about the real lives of Green Grenades and PeeKnuckle. The only thing you as director needs to do is, fill in the real Hollywood actors/actresses that would play their parts. If you want to expound on the movie, a scene, or even some pics (no facehole pics, please) then go right ahead!

The Games: DLC Quest

http://store.steampowered.com/app/230050/?snr=1_7_15__13

Valdis Story: Abyssal City

http://store.steampowered.com/app/252030/?snr=1_7_15__13

The Limit: From the creation of this thread and giveaway you have 48 hours to enter. After those 48 hours are up this thread will be locked and all further entries will be denied. A new thread will be created in Posts That Don't Belong Anywhere announcing the winner along with a screenshot of the two random draws from Random.org. Previous winners of other recent contests will be forfeit I'm afraid. Keeping in the spirit of previous contests/giveaways allowing for more members to win. They are more than welcome to make a post about GG and I though.

Best of luck to you all. Be great.

We will revisit the giveaway next year, and hopefully it can continue it's traditional method. Thanks to everyone for participating and making this forum the friendly place that I've come to love. And another HUGE thank you to Siren for everything she does for us.

Example:

I'm looking forward to The Witcher 3. I absolutely love The Witcher series, and The Witcher 2 was one of my all time favorite games. The story was great, the graphics phenomenal, and the gameplay spot on. The Witcher 3 is promising the story telling of The Witcher 3 with an open world like Skyrim. Open world and epic cinematic storytelling! Good potential to outshine The Elder Scrolls in my book if done right, and I love The Elder Scrolls.

A 4-Week Contest About Your Interests

Sun, 02 Jun 2013 22:17:59 +0000

I would like to see two things happen over the next month
1) More people post about topics they find interesting
2) Clear out the extra items that have been sitting in my Steam inventory

To accomplish both, I am going to hold a 4-Week Contest.

-- HOW TO ENTER --
Simply post a topic on the forums about something you find interesting. Odds are someone else will find it interesting and there will be more material to read on slow weekends like today. Once you create the topic, reply to this topic with a link to the topic and I will count that as an entry. Wash and repeat every week over the next month to get an entry for each week of the contest

I have been trying to do this more, so below are a few examples:

Justice Department tries to force Google to hand over user data
http://www.gamercide.org/forum/topic/8990-justice-department-tries-to-force-google-to-hand-over-user-data/

23-Ton, 5.3-Million Lego X-Wing
http://www.gamercide.org/forum/topic/8974-23-ton-53-million-lego-x-wing/

-- REQUIREMENTS / RULES --
You must have a minimum of 30 posts to be eligible. This should allow for any new members that join in the next week to be able to participate before the contest ends.

I will not count entries that were reached by people "spamming" to reach the minimum post requirement. I reserve the right to decide what is considered "spamming".

You must post at least one topic of interest for EACH WEEK you wish to be entered. You are welcome and even encouraged to do more than one, but you will only get one entry for the week

To prevent repeat wins by one person, posts by previous winners will not count for entries in future weeks. The only exception to this would be in the event that the only entries for a week are all previous winners. Even if you win, I would still encourage you to continue posting about stuff you find interesting.

Entries will be assigned a number and chosen via a random number generator

-- CURRENT ENTRIES --
(For the week of June 16 - June 22)

None yet

-- ENTRY PERIODS --
(Entries will be accepted until 8pm CST on the last day of each week, after which I will choose the winner for the week)

Gamefly Gift Certificate up for Grabs!

Mon, 07 Jan 2013 23:27:24 +0000

So, briza won the Gamefly gift certificate I put up in the giveaway. Later I found out she lives in Australia, and that caused some concern. So I messaged Gamefly on their facebook page, and also emailed them, hoping for a quick answer as to if they deliver there or not. Both answers came back that they do not, unfortunately they only deliver to the United States.

SO.... If you live in the United States and you want FREE games for 3 months (2 at a time!!!) just make a post in this thread!!!! I'm sorry about this, but I wanna ask that only members that have 20+ posts enter.

Hurry and make your post, I will do the drawing tomorrow! I will post a video of me, Ash and Ian doing the drawing. =)

Diablo 3 Guest Pass

Sat, 19 May 2012 23:23:52 +0000

Ok guys I have two guest passes for Diablo 3.

The guest pass allows you to play Diablo 3 for free up to the Skeleton King Boss of Act 1 which actually is a decent amount of playing time.

I will just give them to the first two people that PM me that want one.

Not really a contest but this seemed like the best place to post this.

Mass Effect 3 Giveaway Contest - Xbox 360

Sat, 10 Mar 2012 02:26:11 +0000

Mass Effect 3 Contest

Please read my entire post! It is time for me to give a little back to the Gamercide Community! I wanted to do so before but things have been tough financially. It's looking up so I hope to have more contests in the future. I won some contests on here before and really appreciated the prizes. I want to give away, to someone on here, my opened(not factory sealed) extra copy of Mass Effect 3 Standard Edition for Xbox 360 still in pristine mint condition at no cost. Please note: does not include online pass (read "Online Pass" below for details of why, a damn shame!).

Contest Duration:

Starting Friday, March 9th as of this posting and ending on Sunday night, March 11th at midnight PST. You will have all weekend to enter.

How to win:

Alright the fun part! Don't want to make this overly complicated. Reply on this thread with what your favorite Mass Effect character is from either ME1 or ME2 and why you like them and include a picture of them in your posting. If the character is more obscure and you can't find a pic that is ok just note that you couldn't find one.

The answer can be simple as one sentence or a few words to secure your entry but if you want feel free to add more. Adding more will not change your chances of winning the game but could land you the bonus prize(see below). Feel free to pick any NPC, main character, sub character, or whatever. There is a chance one person could win both, by randomly winning the game and having the best post.

I isolated this to the first two games only to avoid any spoilers for anyone that has not played ME3 in its entirety like me. I am sure there are additional characters and things some of us don't know about yet so please keep it to the first two games only. Please don't discuss any plots or stories etc. from ME3. If anything from ME3 is spoiled for me or anyone else I will be pissed. I will also disqualify that entry. Everyone is cool around here so I don't foresee this happening.

I will take all the entries and to be fair randomly pick a winner from the pool using this http://textmechanic....ine-Picker.html

Bonus Prize:

Mass Effect 3 - From Ashes DLC (Xbox Version): which gives you a bonus mission and character. Value of $9.99

For this added bonus I will pick an entry that I feel is the most creative and fun or simply just my favorite for the bonus prize. I will not choose a winner for this based solely on if you picked my favorite character or not. Really looking for creative and/or fun entries for this.

I would like to add that if you already have the game and don't want to compete for it you can still make a posting to compete for this. Just specify if you would like to op-out of the main contest and go for bonus only.

Rules:

I really want to award this to an active member. So I will follow the guidelines that if you just signed up brand new to do the contest that you at least create a new user thread and have updated your avatar image. Only one entry per user. That seems fair enough and easy to do.

How to get your prize:

I will announce the winner in this thread and then PM them to get the necessary info for shipping. I will use USPS priority mail or equivalent and provide tracking info to the winner. I will mail this out on Monday, March 12th. For the bonus prize I will PM a code that will be good for that DLC.

Reason for the contest:

I ordered two copies of the game. One for me and one for my daughter so we can both play uninterrupted and not fight over one copy. Got both games on release day. The very next day I got word that Amazon had a gotten a small amount of extra Collectors Editions of the game. Being the Mass Effect Fan I am and kicking myself for not pre-ordering that in time to get one on release I jumped at the chance and actually was able to get one to my surprise leaving me with an extra copy of the game.

Online Pass:

This giveaway copy does not come with the online pass. Bioware/EA really screwed this up for me. I would of liked to include that with this. Basically, when we got the initial games we put in our online passes right then to get access to all that stuff. Was not planning to get the CE or another copy of the game so the codes were used.

When I got my collectors edition last night it came with its own online pass. So one would think I have an extra online pass right? Nope, the collectors edition bonus content is directly attached to the online pass code. The only way to get all the extra goodies, soundtrack and DLC that comes with the CE was to enter the code. I hate this online pass code business. So the bad news here is that the winner of this contest will have to pay for an Online Pass only if you want access to the multiplayer part of the game. I think they run $9.99 on live.

Good luck!

Skyrim Giveaway

Fri, 02 Dec 2011 22:29:22 +0000

This is really short notice and most of you may not be able to attend due to my late schedule. However, I will be broadcasting to our live channel tonight (Skyim) and if I reach 50 viewers for at least half an hour I will do a Skyrim trivia question. Winner will get a copy of Skyrim on any platform.

As an added bonus I will be giving away a small selection of games from steam through the night. Hopefully we can get enough participants to make this fun. Everyone's help would be appreciated.

I won't be able to start until 1.30am Est Saturday so I do understand if you can't attend. However if you could tweet or whatever to get the word out that would be great.

On top of everything if we can get 100 people in there I will do a separate contest here for forum members to win a game of choice.

Stop by and check us out tonight @ http://gmcd.me/gcl
