General Discussion

.. well it's not that bad. I've been easing up on the internet lately since I really should be more productive in my life, but after my birthday-anniversary-Canada Day experience my memory of those 3 weeks is cloudy at best and I'm pretty sure my liver and kidneys aren't too happy with all the overtime they've had to do. So what do I do once I start feeling better .. we completely tear apart and rearrange all the furniture in our apartment of course. I started this on Tuesday and am only have done. Tam and I are planning on adopting two kittins at the begining of August and I wanted to make our place more cat friendly (and safer for them) by opening more window for them …

I haven't played either of the games, but what I want to ask is if I should play through the first one before I play the second? I'm thinking about buying one of them today but didn't know if I should just skip the first one and buy the second which I heard was a little better than the first. I'm also going to maybe pick up Singularity at Kmart today for $34.99, and also a copy of the new Dragon Quest for the Nintendo DS which just came out.

That thread about The Pro got me thinking..that's the first time I've even looked at the Xbox Forums in a LONG time. Brought me back to the days we were nearly all active on them and there were some funny moments..can anyone remember any? I need a laugh.. Anyone remember that girl stalker I had who found me from the forums and posted about? She kept on sending me pics of herself and coming on to me

But it's only available at the moment to Playstation Plus subscribers. It will roll out "in the next few months" to the rest of the PS3 population. I'mma going to wait. I'm not signing up for Playstation Plus. 360 won't get Hulu+ till "sometime in 2011"

Well I just aquired a pair of Altec Lansing 508s. Altec Lansing 508s Long story short ... my wife temped there for a bit .. got to know people .. we're still good friends with one them .. everyone got new/different jobs .. helped said friend movie stuff from storage to NYC .. was going to drop speakers off at Salvation Army . .. I said I would take them. I remember these speakers from when Tam worked there and they were being discontinued but the company had a few pairs left around there warehouse they were selling for cheap. Our friend said they would give us their company discount (51% .. I think) and we could pick up our own pair for a few hundred bucks. I couldn't aff…

Friend did it today, what a way to end it. I've been with this kid almost day in and day out for two years, until the pass few months. Sadly, the most recent time I saw him was a gamestop and all we did was glare at each other, no words spoken. The last thing I said to him was "Are you still interested in buying my Nintendo Wii?" I got a response later on saying "I can't afford it thanks for the offer though." He jumped 48feet from a 4 or 5 story parking garage at the college we go too. Broke both ankles, both legs, and pelvic bone. Died from internal bleeding. Only 19 years old, less than a month older than me. RIP - Matt.

Can you do this with a mouse and keyboard? There was a mouse and keyboard vs controller discussion, and it made me bring this clip out. Controller>>>>>>mouse and keyboard

So I was going through some gaming forums and found numerous threads pointing out that they found the game offensive. The main complaint was the death sequences of the main character, which appears to be a small boy. There are also images of what appear to be other children hung by their necks. Now, I don't agree that the game is offensive, per se, but I could see where some could be offended by the imagery. I want to get your thoughts. What do you think, offensive or no? {This should go without saying, but don't start any arguments or I'll kill the thread. Be nice!!}

Hey all With the announcement of the Halo Reach console bundle, I decided to work on an article about whether or not video game themed console bundles sway your mind in either buying the game or upgrading your system or both. Please be opinionated as possible and feel free to make comparisons with the different video game themed consoles that have come out. Remember your opinions/gamertag will be included in the article like when I did the RE series article. Spanks!

So I'm back from San Diego. I think I tweeted the hell out of it so it should come has no surprise that I spent a vast majority of my time in the Xbox Lounge (free drinks!). Playing Kinect was fun but guess what? I got bored pretty fast. You know what didn't bore me? Hydro Thunder Hurricane. I played the living **** out of this XBLA game (which comes out this Wednesday btw) and ******** it's fun as hell. They had a 12 console Live party going for prizes and I would CONSTANTLY get second place, third place, never quite winning a copy of Alan Wake and Crackdown 2 I wanted so dearly. I wanted to bring all my friends in and stack the consoles so at least one of us would win, …

I'm debating it. I liked the first one a lot and I loves my RTS games. Shame it isn't downloadable on Steam.

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. -- A trove of old glass negatives bought at a garage sale for $45 have been authenticated as the lost work of famed nature photographer Ansel Adams and are worth at least $200 million, an attorney for the owner said Tuesday. http://www.foxnews.com/us/2010/07/27/garage-sale-buyer-gets-million-ansel-adams-photos/?test=latestnews

Sorry for the delay on this.....linkage.

After reading the thread here about Limbo being offensive, I decided to write an article about games and what is considered offensive. So....your opinions are needed once again. Remember your gamertag will be attached to all comments. What makes a game offensive in your opinion? Do you have an example of a video game scene that you thought was offensive or borderline offensive? Or are people just too sensitive these days after all, it's just a game? Spanks

Linkage Have you ever wondered what would happen if characters from your favorite games ever crossed paths with each other? The creative minds behind Beat Down Boogie have decided to provide us an answer to that very question. Hilarity, boobs, and plenty of action occur when Ghost from Modern Warfare 2 and Solid Snake from the Metal Gear Solid series meet up. (I thought it was funny)

I have TWO guest codes for Starcraft 2. These will allow you to download the game and trial it for SEVEN HOURS. These SEVEN (7) hours must be played within FOURTEEN (14) days of activation of the codes. Please PM me directly if you would like to try Starcraft 2. (This means you Nomadik Kitty. LoL) Sorry, I had a bit too much to drink and just got this at Kmart (plus a $20 gaming gift card for buying there)

So after I finally completely beat Castlevania SOTN I'm curious as to what everybody thinks. Which franchise does it better....Castlevania or Metroid?

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MANDY - MAN-DEEEEEEEE xoxo

BAM! http://gamercide.org/?p=1631 It's about time. I know. Sorry for the delay. Hope you enjoy it.

http://www.xrite.com/custom_page.aspx?PageID=77&Lang=en Pretty interesting. They say that 1 out of 255 women, and 1 out of 12 men, have some sort of color deficiency in being able to determine colors. The test is simple. You are presented with a few lines of color blocks. You must arrange those color blocks in order so they fade and blend seamlessly into one another. Once you are finished, click the Score button to see how you did. A PERFECT score is 0, and the score will increase depending on how poorly you do. Considering the person who linked to this on MentalFloss.com, who claimed to be a "former Art student", scored a 38 on their first try I think I did pret…
