How many of you guys Dual Boot, of course in computers. I've just installed Ubuntu 10.4 (I believe thats the newest version) on my gameroom pc and old laptop that has broken hinges. I'm currently installing it on this laptop only since it's something I want to learn more about and also have just incase Windows goes crazy. FUN FACT: On my old laptop, with Windows installed, sound NEVER once came out of the laptop once I installed Linux/Ubuntu instantly had sound. Now, I cannot fix the hinges on the laptop nor do I care to but that's still pretty awesome.

I have a 100$ gamstop giftcard and I am going to put it towards a new xbox 360 console. A couple of questions. Can my GT exist on both consoles as long as I am only signed in on one console at a time? I want to put one console in my bedroom to watch netflix but I dont want to buy another xboxlive subscription unless I have too. Does anybody know what the holiday bundles will be? I know kinect will be bundled this fall but I would rather get a couple of games or an extra controller. I want the new slim design with the 250 GB HD. I know there will be deals but I need to go through gamestop to use the giftcard unless another business will accept the giftcard.

Figured I would ask and see who is getting the game and for what console. I'm in a toss-up myself seeing as I have both systems. I know a lot of people around here are probably going to be purchasing it for Xbox 360, yet my LIVE subscription lapsed about 6 months ago and I really don't feel like throwing down more money for Xbox LIVE (seeing as there is really no other game I'd play on it) I was considering my PS3 however because you don't have to spend any money to game online, but I know a lot less people around here may purchase it for that system. So, which version are you buying?

My son's dinosaur of a laptop finally gave it up. We want to get him at least a half way decent new one for Christmas. I'm on a $300 - $400 budget...with a strong preference toward leaning to the $300 side. I do know ima have to pony up some cash for something more than mediocre, so if $400 is the number that works, then that's what I'll have to do. There's a Best Buy right down the road from my house, so I checked out what deals they have right now. I found a few in my range here. I haven't bought a lappy for a while, and I've never owned a pc, so any help or advice would be much appreciated.

This is really starting to bug me. Okay first off the connection here is crap, a really big pile of crap. Second off when I first moved in my friend who has a mac always had to reset the internet on his computer because it would just stop working like every 2 minutes he would have to click the antenna symbol and turn it off and back on. Mine was fine for awhile, it still ran slow but I didn't have to reset it every few minutes now it is doing it to me. I've got no clue what the problem is, I keep having to unplug my wireless adapter and putting it back in. My xbox stays connected to live though, so even though our comps disconnect my xbox does not, even though it runs slo…

i bought an hp wireless elite keyboard and mouse. they work off the same dongle. i installe the drivers, etc...but the keyboard works and the mouse doesn't. hp suppport tells me they can't find the part info and can't elp me. any ideas? every other mouse i hook to it works great.

Dragon Age Origins - Ultimate Edition on my PC will lock up after about an hour of gameplay and windows will alert that the program has stopped working and needs to close. I have tried to find and answer on google, but not much has helped me. Anyone have any ideas why this could be happening? Not a huge issue, but kind of annoying.

How do I find them? The update blows. The site really didn't need it IMHO.

I have a problem. Something came up on my screen a couple of days ago, saying there was a device found on my network called PC-LENNY, and asked if I wanted to share files with this device. I accidentally pressed yes, but didn't think anything of it. Turns out my upload speed has increased and it's kicking me off of Live every so often. How can I change stop this from happening? I think this "Lenny" guy is downloading files from my computer. Please help!

OK, I've been trying to get the sound from my TV to my receiver through a digital optical out cable. So far unsuccessful. The TV is a SONY Bravia KDL-52EX700 and the receiver is a Pioneer VSX-817. If anyone can help me it would be awesome.

As an individual grinding his gears in college... Im curious as to if MMO games are worth the time and money spent playing. I already have limited time to play any game, let alone one that never ends! However, I am a huge KOTOR fan and they decided to switch their game play to MMO for their new title... how fun are these things?

So I just got a new laptop, a Sony Vaio, if anyone is interested, and I need some anti-virus software. I know there are some great free ones out there, I just don't know what they are. My mom wants me to install Norton (Ugh...) but I'm not gonna cause in my past experiences, it slows down my PC and it's not all that great. SO, what are some good anti-virus programs?
