Forever later, and I find myself looking at the forum with dead twitch links and a TS3 server that is long dead. I've removed some items, and I plan to at least restore the Twitch app if I can. However, what else would we like to see here? What would bring you back? Discord notifications of new posts? A channel like box that allows Discord style chatting right on the web page?

Do we need to archive all the topics into an old area and recreate the entire structure? Do you have any interests you'd like to move here? Let's just say Gamercide is a forum/site looking for work. AI has simplified management of this, so I think I can make a lot happen in short order if it's requested.


Just looking for ideas that will bring this site back to where we congregate and say hi. I like a site where you can actually revisit old posts without major troubles, where we can post something and not need a response immediately. Where you can join a conversation 2 days later.

Anyhow, let's see what we can do. Even if it's a private corner of the internet for invites only. But remember, If you're not having fun, what's the point?

My PC seems to run fine and my up and down speed are very good. However when I use my xbox or roku it's hard to connect and stay connected to the net. What would cause this? Like right now I'm on my pc and I'm in the living room, my wireless router is in the dining room right behind me, maybe 15 feet? I have 3 or 4 bars out of 5 on my pc. It is less on my xbox. I have reset my router several times. It's really a problem on my xbox and roku, I will be streaming videos or playing a game and my connection will drop. My pc is fine though. Do I need to get a new wireless router? Do I need to update it some how? Any help would be appreciated.

I sold something on eBay, and I'm shipping it as First Class mail. Which is essentially basic delivery, 2-5 days. In order to schedule pickup on the USPS website...it says you have to have at least one Priority or Express package (which I don't). In your guys experiences, if I leave the package in the mailbox ready to go, would it be likely to be picked up? The issue is I want to get it out tomorrow but as I work 7-3, I'll be unable to get to the post office during business hours. And I want to get the thing out.

 

Figured someone might know, yinz are all smart and stuff. :)

I bought some cables, hooked up both my laptop and Xbox directly to my router to reduce wireless latency. Either way, and even if I completely disconnect my laptop so the ONLY thing connected directly to my network is my Xbox, I still get this crappy lagging stream that always says "buffering".

I wasn't going for gameplay, I was just fiddling around. As I know some of you are really good with this, so I was wondering...do I really have THAT bad of an internet speed...I'm guessing I have around the same high-speed cable internet most of you guys would have. Is there a better way to do it, or is the live streaming feature just complete crap through the game's end?

SimCity destroyed my graphics card. I tempted fate last night and tried just streaming DS1, and it crashed about 20 minutes in, causing my computer to so an entire system restore (that took about 2 hours).

 

Needless to say, I need a new GPU, woot. Anyone have any suggestions, that aren't heinously expensive? I currently have a GeForce GT 5300. An upgrade is desired, instead of just more of the same.
