i bought an hp wireless elite keyboard and mouse. they work off the same dongle. i installe the drivers, etc...but the keyboard works and the mouse doesn't. hp suppport tells me they can't find the part info and can't elp me. any ideas? every other mouse i hook to it works great.

Are you using the stock drivers that came with it, or have you updated using HP's site?

cant get any sound from my pc either, but that's another ball of wax.

You should attempt to download the new official drivers direct from HP's website.

Yup. Sorry your mouse didn't work, but I always use Logitech mouses (mice?).

it was an impulse buy. good deal . i joined sam's club and figured i'd give it a whirl.

Yeah, if it's giving you that much problem it's very likely a dead mouse. Besides, if the support can't find the model number then who knows wth is up with it. I suggest either exchanging it and trying a new one or just getting a different brand.

return it and get a new one .. safe yourself the hassle of trying to figure it out.
