  5. Wow. So a little while ago it was ruled that the government actually needs a warrant in order to physically place a GPS tracking device on your vehicle. Just recently however a judge released a 30 page decision saying that the government absolutely does not need a warrant to request, use, and track your location data generated by your cell phone (and presumably other electronic devices). Basically what it amounts to is unless you turn your cell phone completely OFF, the government is within their rights to track and use that data to their heart's content. Given the ubiquity and celebrity of geolocation technologies, an individual has no legitimate expectation of …

So my wife texted in this morning and won a trip to Miami we will be going next month! There is also a grand prize she could still win. I will have some pics from the event, she was screaming on the phone when they called her back wish I could have got a recording of that. She is pretty excited she hasnt won anything like this before. iHeartRadio Ultimate Pool Party The iHeartRadio Ultimate Pool Party is back this year for round 2 of fun, sun, and some unforgettable performances at Fontainebleau Miami Beach. The pictures, worth the look Photographer Murad Osmann creatively documents his travels around the world with his girlfriend leading the way in his ongoing series known as Follow Me To. Chronicling his adventures on Instagram, the Russian photographer composes each shot in a similar fashion. We see each landscape from the photographer's point of view with his extended hand holding onto his girlfriend's in front of him. This is awesome.

  8. http://gawker.com/the-chilling-case-of-fat-longpig-the-cannibal-with-a-493196615 I want to cry after reading this article. Granted I don't know if he actually DID anything (other than distribute and look at child pornography which in itself is atrocious), but people like this who actually go THAT FAR in creating the scene where they will do the deeds need to be locked up and the key thrown away.... ...or hit in the head with a brick repeatedly. Preferably the second option. During the execution of the search warrant at PORTWAY’s residence, HSI agents also discovered a locked door in the basement of the residence. Inside the door was a sally port that led to …

A 12-year-old boy is being praised for his courage after confronting a police officer who parked his motorcycle on a sidewalk. The boy, whose name is Jeremy, confronted the Las Vegas Metro officer who had parked illegally on the sidewalk while he went to buy a soda at a 7-Eleven store. During the conversation, which was captured on video, Jeremy asks the officer why he chose to park on the sidewalk and if he had an emergency reason to do so, prompting the officer to reply, "Because I can." The boy then asks the officer for his badge number, but the officer refuses. The officer then accused Jeremy of loitering before driving away. http://www.thedenverchannel.com/news…

Yesterday, I finally graduated from Penn State and begin working full time in Pittsburgh on June 10th. It's kind of surreal finally finishing school and that I'll prob never set foot in a classroom ever again. I was fortunate enough to have my family come and my girlfriend too from Brooklyn. I'll try and maybe post some pictures later. Hard to believe I was a freshman in High School when I joined the ATC and now I'm a college graduate entering the real world...

  14. So I finally got my first smartphone today. A Samsung Galaxy S4. Pretty nifty device. Sure there are bad things about AT&T, but it's awesome to have a device with me that can do so much. I had originally been thinking about getting an iPhone 5 until I had heard about this one and did some comparisons. So now I don't have to have another Apple product besides my iPod, yay.

  15. Nope, that headline is not a joke. The DIY Network, perhaps believing that there are not already enough Amish reality shows on TV, will debut a new series starring Vanilla Ice (also known as Carrollton-raised Robert van Winkle). Vanilla Ice Goes Amish will premiere on the network this year, the Associated Press reports. Vanilla Ice will live among an Amish community in Ohio, and learn about construction from Amish craftsmen. Which makes sense only if you were aware that Vanilla Ice already has a show on DIY about home renovation. Speaking of which, The Vanilla Ice Project will air its fourth (!) season this fall, the AP says http://popcultureblog.dallasnews.com/2013/0…

So last Friday, my boss was out of town and Jason and I got a new house. It happened last minute and we had to go sign everything. So I had to leave work and the only person there was the last guy that we hired last year and I told him I wasn't sure if I'd be back, but if not have a good weekend. Anyway, totally forgot I left early and handed in my time card thing last night with my usual forty hours. So I'm late this morning because I locked myself out of the house and I called my boss on my way to work to let him know what happened and when I'd be there. I get here and he's in a bad mood. I'm like oh great. So he called me back into his office and to shorten this…

  18. http://www.gawker.com/all-my-friends-are-dead-489716639 This is worth your time to read. It actually made me sob while reading it. So many painful memories linked to family and friends who are being 'helped' by the little prescription bottle. More often than not, them becoming far worse off after their pill therapy ended. Imagine taking a vacation from real life for years at a time. You end up stopping taking your prescription for whatever reasons, and you're thrust into a new world you haven't taken part in for a long time. It's such a shock that most don't even know how to cope with it, or even know how to begin to fit back into it. It's essentially a very crude, un…

  25. Started by Kevnvek,

Game designers need to get away from this bullcrap checkpoint system, where you get checkpoints that you restart to when you die, but only get a save point after some completely freaking arbitrary length of time, if you get to a certain area. It happened to me in Bioshock Infinite, and now again in Dead Space 3. Maybe I'm trying to go to sleep and don't have another 30 minutes to play to hope that I get that little "game saving" message in the corner to pop up seemingly at random. I don't see any real reason for not letting the checkpoints just be the save points. And in case of trouble there could be a "recover to last major save point" type option, if it's a matter …
