Pinellas County, Florida -- A man stole a large amount of cat food from Walmart that he said he planned to sell to his friend with 300 cats. Officers responded to the Walmart on Us Highway 19 North in Clearwater to investigate a shoplifting case involving cat food. Loss prevention staff had detained James Lawlor for loading up a shopping cart full of cat food and then walking to his car without paying. Lawlor explained to officers that he had done this in the past and that he steals the cat food to sell in what he calls "hustling." Lawlor also said he has a friend with 300 cats and he sells the food to him and others. Lawlor was arrested and transported to the Pine…

  2. So I got my first tattoo ever. I've been talking about it for what seems like ten years now, and I finally went and had it done. It isn't finished yet, still needs some touch up work and a few more additions, but I was swollen up like crazy and bleeding a bit so it will take more than one session. But here are a few blurrycam pics of what is finished so far. I'll try to take a picture of the castle on the back on my arm, bit of a bitch trying to hold the camera to do it lol.

  3. It’s Not A High-Speed Police Chase Until Deep Fryers Come Flying Out Of The Escape Vehicle [Consumerist] You might’ve think you’ve heard about an intense, high-speed police chase, but you’d be wrong. Or at least you thought you knew what intense was, before reading that one particular police showdown had deep fryers flying out the back of a suspect’s truck. Deep fryers! Flying! It’s too much excitement to bear on a Friday, but let’s forge ahead, shall we? KHOU.com has the story out of Houston, where four men were allegedly part of a team that burgled a kitchen supply store late Wednesday night. Perhaps there was a dire need for cutlery or a lot of fried chicken, bec…

So, I've been really busy the last few weeks trying to get everything in order to buy a new Supra. I spent a good while going back and forth trying to decide if I wanted to spend the money or not. I finally called the guy up and we agreed on a price. Since then I've been working hard to get all my ducks in a row. The car is in Toronto, Canada so I had to get CAD currency out, rush my new passport, figure out all the importation laws, get insurance, and a temporary tag. Not to mention finding a one way flight into Toronto. All of that is done now, finally. I'll be leaving early Saturday morning and coming back with this: 1982 Toyota Celica Supra w/ 7MGTE swap @ …

So my sister set this up a few days ago. While donations are accepted/appreciated, I would definitely appreciate it a whole lot if some of you who use Facebook would spread this around and/or post this on your walls and encourage others to possibly do the same. Her bone marrow transplant is going to be coming up soon and the cost of the 24/7 care while she is in isolation is going to pretty much bankrupt us. Money doesn't mean a whole lot to me, but my mom definitely does. Thanks guys and much love to you all. https://www.giveforward.com/fundraiser/d1d3/amy-leach-s-multiple-myeloma-fund

Sorry ladies. I finally had to set my boots somewhere.

  9. I went for my first day of college at Columbia College in Sonora, CA. It wasn't too bad. I'm only going part time doing English 1A and Algebra II (the graduation/degree requirements that I tested into on the assessment test). I just wanted to give everyone a heads up that I may or may not be around as much. It will mostly be my streaming time that goes down a bit. I forgot how evil homework was...

Explanation: Is this an alien? Probably not, but of all the animals on Earth, the tardigrade might be the best candidate. That's because tardigrades are known to be able to go for decades without food or water, to survive temperatures from near absolute zero to well above the boiling point of water, to survive pressures from near zero to well above that on ocean floors, and to survive direct exposure to dangerous radiations. The far-ranging survivability of these extremophiles was tested in 2011 outside an orbiting space shuttle. Tardigrades are so durable partly because they can repair their own DNA and reduce their body water content to a few percent. Some of these m…

  17. The project, known as MetaPhone, works like this: The researchers are asking willing participants to install an app on their Android phones that will transmit basic metadata from their telephone. The researchers will try to deduce as much information as possible from that data, presumably in the same fashion as the NSA. In order to find out whether their deductions are accurate, the team is also asking participants to provide basic information from their Facebook pages. “Our hypothesis is that phone metadata is packed with meaning,” Mayer said. I miss your faces. Life has been hectic, and one of my roommates has turned surprisingly hostile. Thankfully, she's moving in just three weeks. My goal is to be as loud as possible on the nights she works. Muaha. But right now my sleep schedule has been all over the place so... BLEEHH. Should be back soon to normal.

Johnny Hendricks the moment the final horn sounded to end the fight' The official scorecard For those that didn't watch, GSP won in a split decision. It has people freaking out pretty badly. I haven't watched it yet, but I was in Teamspeak with a friend who was watching it and he couldn't talk for a few minutes. He said Hendricks was seriously robbed and that no way GSp should have taken the first round. Anyone else watch it? I'd love to hear your views on it.

http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2012/09/120904193052.htm People can be obese but metabolically healthy and fit, with no greater risk of developing or dying from cardiovascular disease or cancer than normal weight people, according to the largest study ever to have investigated this seeming paradox. I found this to be incredibly interesting, especially in a society that looooves to fat shame.

  23. This is just too hilarious. Officer spots people getting freaky in a pickup truck. Officer approaches said steamy vehicle. Officer commands coitus to cease. And then? While the man immediately put his pants on and complied, the woman simply sat in the passenger's seat. The officer had to tell her numerous times to put her clothes on, the report says. But when the female finally got dressed, she attempted to put a cheeseburger on her foot as if it were a sandal. WHO DOES THAT!? I mean really? A cheeseburger as a sandal? Even I don't think I've been THAT drunk that I'd try something like that (and that is saying something hahaha) http://loganville.patch.com…
