Where do I place my faith, in a world in such despair. I'm left in a spinning circle, with nowhere to go. I wish to keep in touch with a life left without repair. I can only keep moving on, with comfort in what I know. Life will lead me out, just as it led me in. I can only guess the outcome, and never know the end. I'll make it through the struggle that started from within. I don't know where I'm going, but have the knowledge of where I've been. I feel the pull of temptation, and I can't help but to relent. The mistakes I've made today I will pay for with regret. I can only hope my salvation lies in my ability to repent. Though, life is a hard road, I know my path is nev…

http://www.amazon.com/Conquered-Clippy-Erotic-Digital-Desires-ebook/dp/B00UJ01WBW/ Yes, someone seriously wrote an erotic fan-fiction digital novella..... about a paperclip. Christie Aackerlund doesn't need help with anything. So when the world's biggest technology company offers to fly her to a remote location and investigate an alien artifact, all by herself, she's all like "I'll do it! But the artifact isn't what it seems, and soon an overly helpful giant living paperclip is getting her all bent out of shape. I'm afraid, very afraid, but I can't wait to check out the user reviews of this in a few weeks once word starts getting around the internet.

http://www.goodreads.com/review/show/340987215 Wow. This woman rips the book apart in quite a hilarious fashion, animated GIFs included. I love this line. "Christian's supposed sexual prowess makes a bit more sense now, as does Ana's assertion that he has a giant bologna wand. She has absolutely zero experience, and she's never once had anything "in there". Thing could be the size of a baby carrot and she'd still be like, "Oh, my glob! How is it ever going to fit?!"

This is the beginning for a short novel I'm hoping to write. It's been plauging me in my sleep so I finally sat down tongiht and started to put to words waht my dreams have been playing out in my head. I plan on posting bits and pieces of it here for you all to read/comment/etc and hopefully if all goes well, I can maybe get a publish out of the final product. Obv, this is a rough draft ( I wrote it last night, and it's 7 am now) Chapter 1 Celebrations Realm Of Souls. Harvest Moon “Celebrate love. It is the breath of your existence and the best of all reasons for living.” -???? Daylight flirted with the oncoming night. The tendrils of light intertwining with the dar…

So it seems the final book in the Inheritance Cycle (Eragon, Eldest, Brisingr) is going to be released on November 8th. I have it preordered and am excited to read it. I started rereading the first three books yesterday and got 66 pages into Eragon already lol (and I haven't read any yet today, since I'm setting my computer back up after my parts got back today). I'm rereading because it's been a while since I've read them, and I want to remember the specifics since Inheritance will be the final book. Anyone else read the series or getting the new one?

Apparently they're going to officially kill off one of the Fantastic 4 for good in an upcoming comic. Who do you think it will be? I hope it's the Torch.

Sad news. The original creator of the Choose Your Own Adventure series of books has passed away this previous Sunday at the age of 78. R. A. Montgomery began creating what has now become the 4th best selling childrens series of all time in 1977 with the release of Journey Under the Sea. I have to admit for me this is sad because when I was growing up I friggin' LOVED these books and read them over and over. Sure, I would cheat sometimes and try to backwards figure out the best way to "get through" the books but they were really fun. Anyone else grow up with these books? Did you have any favorites? I loved ones like The Forbidden Castle, The Dragon's Den,…

Some of you probably do not know that I am big on graphic design and art . I absolutely cherish this subject , but Kilian released his book OBJECT 10 which is a follow up to his OBJECT 5 . The book is a new volume featuring some of the artist’s recent illustration work. He has some of the most creative art work to this date and is someone I am influenced by myself . Soon , I am going to try and get into a college for Art & Graphic Design . Here are some pictures though and a little promotional clip .

So I started reading the seven comic series, Johnny the Homicidal Maniac a few days ago. I just finished reading the fifth one, though there are a couple spin offs featuring different characters. It was created by Jhonen Vasquez, the creator of Invader Zim (which I've never seen much of but would like to check out, also due to it's titular character voicing a character in the Destroy All Humans games). I'd describe it as darkly humorous. It gets kind of messed up at some points but there's always an underlying irony of sorts. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Johnny_the_Homicidal_Maniac Has anyone else ever read this series?

I'm not exactly sure how to start this topic off, so i'll just type it all in one go and not edit myself, NO REGRETS, NO WEAKNESS, ONWARD FROTH!!!(its really whipped cream, silly ;D) So. John Dies at the End, NOT a spoiler... or at least i cant verify if it's a spoiler or not, cause that in of itself would be a spoiler, it IS however the name of the book by David Wong. Much like most people with Marble Mocha Macchiatos in hand (upside-down tuxedo, M&M-&M) I will assume you've never heard of him, which is probably for the best, otherwise this post would be pointless and my many hours without sleep unrelated to this post at all would have been wasted in order to get…

What happens when the haggling is done and the shops are closed? When the quest has been given, the steeds saddled, and the adventurers are off to their next encounter? They keep the world running, the food cooked, and the horses shoed, yet what adventurer has ever spared a thought or concern for the Non-Player Characters? In the town of Maplebark, four such NPCs settle in for a night of actively ignoring the adventurers drinking in the tavern when things go quickly and fatally awry. Once the dust settles, these four find themselves faced with an impossible choice: pretend to be adventurers undertaking a task of near-certain death or see their town and loved ones destroy…

This kinda spawned from Av's thread, but I was curious. Who are your favorite authors? Personally, my top three are J.K. Rowling (Harry Potter is my favorite series of all time), Cormac McCarthy, and Ayn Rand.

Charlie Frazier sat hunched over in his little cubicle. He sat with his legs drawn up to his chest which gave him about two inches grace from the width of his shoulders. With his back to the wall behind him, Charlie could just reach out to the wall in front and place his palm on the surface. The steel-like material should be cold to the touch, yet it seemed to emit warmth as if to say this is a metal your planet has never encountered. Which only made sense, as Charlie knew he was no longer on the planet of his birth. It’s a strange feeling knowing you’ve been taken and may never see your home again. Charlie had cried with fear and despair…

Anyone have any ideas on how to figure out comic values and/or what they're worth? Been going through a bunch of my dad's old comics that I helped him store and bag and put away when I was a little kid that we all completely forgot about and I ran across this gem .... and that's just the tip of the iceberg. You're looking at Avenger's issue #1, original from 1963 and in pretty fantastic condition despite the stupid camera phone picture (picture was taken in low light basement so I had to brighten it up a little). No rips, no tears, all pages intact and unstained, cover in great shape and no stickers (the sticker on the front is on the plastic sleeve, not the com…

So I stumbled across this recently while reading something Stephen Hawking recently said. Hawking was talking about how we should all just STFU and not try to contact alien life because there is a possibility that it would be like Columbus stumbling upon the Natives. "We only have to look at ourselves to see how intelligent life might develop into something we wouldn't want to meet. I imagine they might exist in massive ships, having used up all the resources from their home planet. Such advanced aliens would perhaps become nomads, looking to conquer and colonize whatever planets they can reach." He concludes that trying to make contact with alien races is "a little to…

So I recently finished the first book in this series and just purchased the second book in the series this past weekend. Wow, what a great and awesome story so far. I'm totally hooked into the tale this author is spinning right now. It's part science fiction, part fantasy and part cyberpunk. It's hard to explain since there is so much going on, but here's the Wiki page to give you an idea of what it's about. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Otherland VERY good reading! Highly recommended!

These are quotes, not the entire poem “You could tie my tongue My lips, my teeth Split them into surrender Into a foreign language And I would still manage To cough up your name.” - Danielle Shorr, “Let” “They don’t know I only speak in runaway train stations and everybody is always a few minutes too late to the platform. No one has ever gotten the chance to get too close because it is never romantic to fuck the girl who makes love to her own sadness every single night.” - Katelin Wagner, “Disappearing Acts (after Miles Hodges)” Our love is hitchhiking across the California desert and no one is slowing down. Is a lie still a lie if you say it pretty? You’re saying…
