Movies and TV

I went to see this today, and I have to say I loved it! Much better than the last Star Wars film continuing the story. There was a few scenes too close to Uncanny Valley territory due to bringing back some original faces, but overall it was a fantastic movie. Bit slow to start, but turned out to be a very great movie in the Star Wars universe.

I haven't been a huge fan of this series. I'll see this because I've seen the others and sort of want to see where Alice's story goes when she tries to take down Umbrella. Take a look at the teaser:

Randy Couture just took James Toney to school! For those who don't know, James Toney is a professional boxer with a record of 72 Wins (44 knockouts), 6 Losses (6 decisions), and 3 draws. He wanted to prove that MMA was for wimps and he talked a ton of smack. Randy ran a mixed martial arts clinic on him. He didn't stand a chance. Couture, at 47 years old, answered all the questions about whether or not a pro boxer would cut it in the cage by beating him a little over three minutes into the first round without a scratch. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D4DhFP3HYGE

I love John Carpenter movies. One of my personal favorites has always been The Thing. Such a great monster movie. The special effects were insane, and I still get chills to this day when I remember the scene where some dude's stomach turns into a giant mouth with teeth and bites off the doctor's hands. Well they are making a prequel to the original movie. It's going to tell the story of the Norwegians (who we see flying a helicopter at the beginning of the original, shooting crazily at a dog as it runs across the snow, only to be taken in by Kurt Russel and gang). http://io9.com/5654684/first-inside-look-at-the-thing-prequel-shows-why-it-may-be-awesome-after-all It…

Ok, this is getting a little ridiculous. First the Karate Kid is blasphemed, and now Little Orphan Annie!?!? And who is being eyed to play Annie? The cute little girl with the curly red hair? WILLOW SMITH. Yes, Will's Smith's daughter. /facepalm I'm all for remakes, but this is like casting Eddie Murphy as the Riddler or Jamie Foxx as Lynch in Kane & Lynch. GAH! *Note, please keep things civil. I'm just frustrated over ruining classic movies and roles*

Nothing to see here.

Really? Are you kidding me? Didn't Bay say he wouldn't screw the franchise up any more after part 3? This is all I have to say . . .

http://tvandmoviesnow.com/netflix-starz-expiring-2012.html 840 shows, all going bye bye on Wednesday. *gives Starz the big digit* This is pretty stupid. I hate licensing deals/disagreements.

Went and saw Abe L. Vampire hunter. It really put some good twists on history and facts. The action was good. I acc expected it to suck but was suprised

So as everyone can see in my pic i have a kid (no i didnt steal her just for the photo) and as many parents the joy of most adult age film is few and far between. Recently i saw the animated Hotel Transylvania, i do have to say it was a darn good funny film. Some adult humor added but the slapstick for kids was just as good.

Can't believe there wasn't a thread for this yet. Thoughts, predictions, hopes? I'll return later with my thoughts after my iPad charges some.

So, I just went and saw this. Have to say that I loved it. Not exactly a super story movie, but hard core action all the way. Again, really good movie. Worth seeing in the theater.

Good movie my kids 3,8,12 all enjoyed it. Good story and a little different than the normal animated stuff. Liked all the different dragons and the 3d effects the flying stuff was awesome.

Wow.... what kind of shenanigans is President Logan up to now? I can't believe they brought him back. LoL

I had questions about how well he would work as Thor, but this looks pretty damned cool. Could be a little more muscular, but I do think it will work. Quick film synopsis:

This was really great news to me when I saw this press release come in from Discovery. Adam and Jaime have signed a new deal with The Discovery Channel to continue to make more Mythbusters, as well as develop new properties for the channel. Full press release below: I literally watch the show EVERY TIME it is on, re-run or not.

So I finally saw Inception at home last night (don't ask, but I didn't download it). I'm a little confused. Great movie, but slightly confused. Anyone care to talk about the movie, specifically the ending? IF YOU HAVE NOT SEEN THE MOVIE, AND DON'T WANT TO READ SPOILERS, GTFO NOOOOOWWWWW!!!!!

netflix now has DesertPunk in Streaming.

Anyone here see it? I just saw it and it was a GREAT movie. Natalie Portman and Mila Kunis were excellent. The film should be, without a doubt, a nominee for Best Picture. Natalie Portman should be nominated for Best Female Actress.
