Hey, so I've been having some issues with my laptop overheating and crashing, at times I'll have AIM, itunes, firefox, and word open so I've lost data in the past. So i brought it into Staples for a Free Pc tune up. After 1 and half hours of waiting, they said my software was fine, no viruses, and they dusted out my laptop fan. They said though that my laptop's fan doesn't shut off basically and to find out what was wrong would take a $70 diagnostic test. I'm a little tight on cash so I figured why not ask the computer experts here . Anyone have any ideas?

Anyone have any suggestions on quality webcams? I was using a GearHead (which actually wasn't too bad, but I picked it up on the cheap for $20) but during the move the circuitry got smashed, which is what those weird little blue rings are when I have my cam on. I have a late Christmas gift headed my way, so I get a webcam and a headset. Make them good suggestions, I want to bankrupt poor Minion.

I've always wondered where do the video game guns,ammo, grenades,vehicle,clothing,dirt,grass,sand,hats,taunts,deaths, dog tags,badges, ribbons, ect ect. come from? I can be sitting there in perfect immersion and then a jet poofs in front of me, or my horse rides up a up the steep side of a moutain and a pack of wolves come falling from the sky. Is there some kind of STUFF god? Or maybe a giant Santa that throws STUFF down from the sky? or maybe its the gremlins. Simply put I am having issues linking this sig to my signature here on the forums. It keeps giving me a 403 error. Anyone know enough about .htaccess files to tell me what I am doing wrong? Anyone use this while streaming? I'm not sure exactly how to change my text color when I use it for in-channel chat? Its charcoal or some weird color that does not show up well in the chat window. Thanks.

if you've updated to the latest Firefox you may have noticed that the status bar (at bottom) is completely missing. I like having it (social media apps etc) and I went on a search to see if I could add it in, or restore it. Wierdest thing, my targus headset plugged in with fiber optic cable works with ps3 on everything but nba 2k13. Home, music, videos, even other games work fine, but the second that game starts no audio through headset. Any ideas?

So, yeah. I haven't been streaming because of 1.) Internets and 2.) SimCity destroyed my graphics card. I tempted fate last night and tried just streaming DS1, and it crashed about 20 minutes in, causing my computer to so an entire system restore (that took about 2 hours). Needless to say, I need a new GPU, woot. Anyone have any suggestions, that aren't heinously expensive? I currently have a GeForce GT 5300. An upgrade is desired, instead of just more of the same.

Well I moved into this house last year, and the dog they have now is the second one in a year. My neighbor on the other side said this will be the fifth dog they've had. My roommate said he knows they have had several dogs before also. He told me two years ago he had to throw a plastic bag full of water over the fence during the summer because they leave the dog out all the time and there wasn't any water. Okay, so in about a week or two I plan on getting a new HDTV, but I have seen way too many options and it's made me a bit indecisive. Can those with Windows 7 play old XP games on it? I read about "XP Mode" but then later found out it isn't really suited to playing games.

Does anyone know why my laptop would go un-responsive everytime I try to watch a video on youtube??? Its really highly annoying.... EDIT: The popup I get asks if I wanna stop running this script. It says a script on the page is causing Internet Explorer to run slowly. And that if it continues to run my computer may become unresponsive. It becomes unresponsive immediately after I click on the desired video.

This is completely random, but after about 30 minutes of searching I'm not coming up with anything concrete. I sold something on eBay, and I'm shipping it as First Class mail. Which is essentially basic delivery, 2-5 days. In order to schedule pickup on the USPS website...it says you have to have at least one Priority or Express package (which I don't). In your guys experiences, if I leave the package in the mailbox ready to go, would it be likely to be picked up?
