For the serious or semi-serious. Just don't go off the beaten path.

  1. Hey man. Hope you have a most excellent birthday today. It's a Friday, so be careful if you go out and don't get too crazy!

I haven't logged in here for a very long time, and it was long over due to say hello to my internet friends and family. The list at the bottom doesn't currently show anyone logged in, so I'll stop by later and see what is up with everyone. I miss hanging out with all of you and hope we can catch up soon. -Stealthy

  5. Did you guys hear about the Apple employee who was "field testing" the prototype for the new iPhone 4? It was even disguised as an iPhone 3GS to avoid any publicity. He was at a bar. Drinking. And left the bar, forgetting the super-secret iPhone he left on his barstool. Who was he unknowingly sitting next to? The dudes from Gizmodo. If you want to, you can check out the article on their site. But really, this dude is pretty much screwed. He'll probably get banned for life from Apple. /facepalm

So with the COMPLETE FAIL (read: Son, I am disappoint!) of the PSPGo, Sony is in desperate need of a new handheld to compete with Nintendo's announced/unannounced Nintendo 3DS. Publishers are reporting that Sony is going to possibly reveal their new handheld at this year's E3. Is it finally time to see something as awesome as this? I would totally spend like $250 for one of these.

  7. I have TWO guest codes for Starcraft 2. These will allow you to download the game and trial it for SEVEN HOURS. These SEVEN (7) hours must be played within FOURTEEN (14) days of activation of the codes. Please PM me directly if you would like to try Starcraft 2. (This means you Nomadik Kitty. LoL) Sorry, I had a bit too much to drink and just got this at Kmart (plus a $20 gaming gift card for buying there)

Our Justin.tv streaming channel needs a little bit of updating. I'm requesting the help of some of our members to rewrite the about section. We just need something to update our bio to where we are now. I believe we can get together and come up with some ideas at least. The bio we have now isn't bad at all just a little dated. We are more than just Xbox gamers now, and if it's just a matter of just saying gamers then so be it. I just wanted some opinions. The current info is posted below. President Obama's administration has asked Microsoft's CEO Steve Ballmer to create a game about reducing the U.S. deficit. Erskine Bowles, co-chair of Obama's fiscal commission, wants the game to be made so the general public can have a go to balancing the budget, reports USA Today. Read more at [source] Edge-Online If successful, could this paint gaming in a better light? Or is it a crack, as if to say, "if you can do better, than take a shot at it"? I'm going to hold my opinion to myself for awhile. I'd like to hear your reactions, though. Let's keep it respectful and as non political as we can. We're not attacking a party or anything. We're discussing a potential game.

.. you can answer too. It's Saturday night and I've been eating Beef Stew, drinking beer, and playing a ton of Bioshock. My wife Tam is sleeping in the living room with me on her giant bean bag chair. She's snoring and it's adorable .. now my question is this .. should I wake her up when I go to bed or should I just leave her where she is and tuck her in? She's had a very long day today and is rather tired (obviously), I'm not tired so I figured I should just keep eating stew, drinking beer, and playing Bioshock. .. oh and the noise doesn't bother her at all.

  17. I haven't played either of the games, but what I want to ask is if I should play through the first one before I play the second? I'm thinking about buying one of them today but didn't know if I should just skip the first one and buy the second which I heard was a little better than the first. I'm also going to maybe pick up Singularity at Kmart today for $34.99, and also a copy of the new Dragon Quest for the Nintendo DS which just came out.

It's huge. I'm exhautsed. Been working on this now for weeks. Place was a wreck when we first got here (not really a WRECK, but needed new blinds and definite steam cleaning of rugs and mopping, new bathroom stuff, etc), but it's all good so far. Everything is boxes. It's crazy, but it will work out. I had to hook up the PC to see what the speeds were and also hook up the 360 to keep my gaming streak going. (1097 days STRAIGHT. Damn, this was a feat to kep it going considering the move. LoL!) But yeah. It's going to be a lot of unboxing for awhile. Now I need to unhook the pc and move some stuff back so it's out of the way. On a side note, my download speed tripl…

We've been given a handful of Magicka codes to giveaway. We'll be holding a trivia giveaway on justin.tv, as some of our guys broadcast the game live. Here's the sort of help we're looking for Show up this weekend in the Gamercide justin.tv channel. Even if you're not there, just hang out in the channel. You don't have to watch the gameplay. You can even pause the gameplay if you like. Invite everyone you know to the event. The more people that show up, the better for all of us. Help us pump this event up, and promote it as much as you can. There will be an announcement page on the main site you can link people to. When it's up, I'll link you via this thread. If you foll…

  23. Researchers at Cornell have designed, built and demonstrated the first "cloak" that hides events in time. The process relies on similar methods of distorting electromagnetic fields as invisibility cloaks, but it exploits a time-space duality in electromagnetic theory: diffraction and dispersion of light in space are mathematically equivalent. Scientists have used this theory to create a "time-lens [that] can, for example, magnify or compress in time." Keep reading, here. via - Gizmodo

Many things can be created with a 3D printer. What will the government say we can and cannot print out for ourselves? Medicine? prosthetic limbs? Guns? This is a technology that is already present and will only get better and cheaper to own. Heck, you could even have a 3D printer, printed out for you by someone who already owns one. http://youtu.be/rO54gzfite4 http://www.defcad.com/ Let's discuss this.
