So my PSU somehow burned and melted some of the wiring in it. It happened sometime during the day while my computer was powered down, so I came home to a lovely burning plastic/rubber smell. I've known there was something wrong with the system for a while now and suspected the motherboard, but it looks like it was the PSU after all. Explains some of the oddities like USB ports and the CD drive on the front panel sometimes restarting the computer when activated. I've ordered a new one because I want my system back up and running as soon as possible, assuming nothing else is damaged in it. I rarely ever go for one day shipping, but I'm trying it for this. I'm currentl…

You've likely heard of "One Million Moms" a conservative mother group who blah blah blah are brainwashed and stupid, anyhow. They're newest rage is a superhero being gay. Article Here I found it amusing the pic included shows them about to kissy kiss, which is fine. I'm surprised they're not also offended their a couple of two different races.

Notice a lot of people both from here and other places have let their accounts go silver, or just simply stopped playing a lot of the games I normally do. Is there a boycott going on, did I miss something? Or is everyone just getting over gaming geez!

http://consumerist.com/2011/06/science-confirms-in-n-out-burger-is-the-best-and-mcdonalds-the-worst.html I like Popeyes, but Church's Chicken is easily a step above even Popeyes. Not sure if it's only in California, but that shouldn't matter. They rated In n Out (which isn't really all that great!!!).

A former female police officer, suspecting randy colleagues were abusing Minnesota’s driver’s license database to look her up, discovered that 104 officers in 18 different agencies across the state had accessed her driver’s license record 425 times, using the state database as their personal Facebook service. An audit found that officers in the Dakota County Sheriff’s office, Bloomington Police, and state troopers, were among those who illegally accessed the file of Anne Marie Rasmusson over the course of nearly four years. There were 24 police officers in Minneapolis who accessed her record 133 times, and 42 officers in St. Paul who looked her up 175 times. A female offi…

Well, I just feel like ranting a little bit. I went downstairs last night to watch a movie, and my HTPC blue screened and refused to boot. Said screw it and went to bed. Got up this morning and found out it was bad memory. Had a couple of older sticks laying around so I put them in, started the RMA process on the new ones and then thought I'd watch something. Well, when the memory went it also took out major portions of the registry, and after about an hour I finally managed to get it to boot again. Things were still jacked up, no DHCP, half of the services wouldn't start. Ran all the error checking things I could think of and everyone failed to fix it. So now I'm at…

I just bought this Queen bed at my local Costco for $399 (with instant rebate at checkout). This bed Is awesome! Anyone needing a bed that's priced right should look into this. We picked it up in a Lexus 4 door. You read that right. It comes wrapped in a box with wheels and a handle. It was easy to take up the stairs and set up! I know this is kind of a random post but with all the terrible beds out there priced higher than this one I thought I'd share my find with you guys! So if it's not enough that they needed to big an even larger atom smasher (CERN Labs), now they are going to try to build a laser that is so powerful it's theorized it may be able to rip a hole in space-time. http://dvice.com/archives/2011/04/new-laser-will.php "At peak power, the fourth laser in Europe's Extreme Light Infrastructure project (or ELI) will combine ten beams into a single pulse measuring 200 petawatts. 200 petawatts is significantly more power that our entire race generates at any given moment, and in fact more total power than Earth receives from the sun. The 200 petawatt pulses will only last 1.5 x 10^-14 second, which is about the same amount of time…

So, if y'all remember, I live near Houston, Texas. And the general weather here is hot and humid. Now, the past few days, the highs have been in the 40's, and today, all schools let out early due to a hard freeze that's gonna occur around 3:00 today. And tomorrow, we're expecting almost 3 inches of snow. It's crazy. It's never this cold here, and no one here knows how to act. Haha. I love it.
