The reviews are pouring in, and a big shocker...They're all positive. Game Informer - 95 - Any disappointment series fans felt after ODST should be completely washed away thanks to Reach. Make no mistake about it - this is the true follow-up to Halo 3. It's also a perfect way for Bungie to part with the series it turned into a phenomenon. Joystiq - 5 out of 5 - Reach brings us right back into the dance that hooked us nine years ago, introduces some cool new steps, and leaves us twirling in enchantment as Bungie graciously bows out. Just keep twirling, Spartan. Gametrailers - 9.3 - (Video Review.) Xbox360Achievements.Org - 94 - It’s Halo. It’s the best Halo yet. It’s…

Well, it turns out the leaked blurry image of Chuck and what appears to be Frank, fighting side by side that PK posted, is real! At Capcom's Tokyo Game Show press briefing Dead Rising made an unexpected appearance. Dead Rising 2 isn't even out, yet Capcom is already talking about what comes next. Dead Rising: Case West is an epilogue that takes place after the events in Dead Rising 2. In this act, Chuck, Dead Rising 2's star, will team up with Frank West, the protagonist from Dead Rising 1. Like Dead Rising 2: Case Zero, Case West is a download-only title. It will also only be available on Xbox 360. Sorry, PlayStation fans. Source

Rumors have long swirled throughout the video game industry that a western developer was working on the next installment of Devil May Cry. These rumors were confirmed today at Capcom's Toyko Game Show press briefing. Brithish developer Ninja Theory (Heavenly Sword, Enslaved) is developing the next installment. The teaser video that was shown didn't reveal much other than that Dante would be returning (shocker), only this time he's much younger. How young? His hair is black! Capcom also noted that key members from previous Devil May Cry games will be helping Ninja Theory make this game. As of now, it has the working title DMC: Devil May Cry and is in development for Pla…

  8. DAMN YOU MICROSOFT!!! LoL I had no interest in the thing. Not one little bit. I watched those commercials and trailers of families, ridiculously jumping around in front of their television sets flailing arms and legs. And now you drop this bomb on me. Steel Battalion. (I'm SOOORRRYYY PK! It's Kotaku, I know, but I couldn't find news on it anywhere else. If you can find another link, please replace for me!) New link! The original game was amazing. Big stompy behemoths of metal and not those silly robots on rollerskates that Japan loves. Soooo immersive for it's time and it required you to buy this HUGE $200 controller just to play the game. You didn't just l…

  9. Did you buy a shiny new 360 Slim? Did you try to save a bit of loot and sprung for the 4GB version since you can use USB sticks for extra memory? Well don't try to play Halo: Reach's Co-Op Campaign! The new 360Slim 4GB version does NOT have a hard drive. Essentially it just has a 4GB memory unit inside of it. So what is the problem? If you have one of these consoles and attempt it you will get the following error: "One or more players do not have a hard drive which is required for this playlist". According to the Microsoft official support page, which has been recently updated to reflect this problem, the following reason is given: "One or more players do not have a c…

Hey guys .. as we all know it's easy to miss games, or forget about them with such huge titles like Halo Reach .. uh .. other things, Move, Kinect, and what not. But try not to forget about this game. It's ENSLAVED by Ninja Theory and I think it's going to be out in a couple weeks. I've got a feeling that this game is going to be one of those "Best games nobody played" type of games. Not a lot of 360 owners know about Ninja Theory as a developer but those who owned early versions of the PS3 sure do. They are the developers of the awesomely mind blowing, fun, and intense game Heavenly Sword. Many of you know that I LOVE that game and Chris is a fan too. The only negative …

The demo for Enslaved is up on the Xbox LIVE Marketplace. (Linky) The game is ******* awesome, its really good, I wasn't going to download it, but people on my friends list kept recommending it to me. I download it and I find out its pretty damn fun, I suggest you download it and try it if you haven't already, you won't be disappointed. Its a mix between God of War, Devil May Cry, and the platforming feels like Assassin's Creed, or at least to me it does. So yea, download it and check it out.

  20. It’s a Teasey McTease for sure, but above is the newly released logo for Rockstar Games’ last bit of downloadable content for Red Dead Redemption, the Undead Nightmare Pack. While it doesn't impart any useful information about the DLC, it does bring with it the promise of something rather surprising: a spaghetti western meets grindhouse flick. Somewhere, Quentin Tarantino just started giggling hysterically. Anyway, more details will be coming this week, including a teaser trailer on September 30, so stay tuned. Source Its not that big of a deal, but at least we know there will be a small trailer for this DLC pack on September 30th. My bet with this whole DLC, is that so…

Valve, creators of best-selling game franchises (such as Half-Life, Portal, Team Fortress, and Counter-Strike) and leading technologies (such as Steam and Source), today announced the new add-on for its co-operative zombie thrillers -- "The Sacrifice," in development for both Left 4 Dead (L4D) and Left 4 Dead 2 (L4D2) -- is due for release on October 5, 2010. "The Sacrifice" is the prequel to "The Passing," and takes place from the L4D Survivors' perspective as they make their way South. In addition to advancing the story, "The Sacrifice" introduces a new style finale featuring "Sacrificial Gameplay" where players get to decide who will give their life so the others may l…

There's threads for the add-ons but not the real game, until now. I do thusly believe Capcom has done a goodjob with this game. They took Dead Rising 1, cloned it, modded it, then fixed all the things that needed to be fixed. The combo weapon system is fairly "kickin," however with so many items to combine, it is challenging to put the right pieces together. The bosses are extremely difficult, and not made to be beaten the first playthrough. I was really dissapointed with the multiplayer system. Especially after playing Halo's stream lined matchmaking. It's a good game, I just dislike how similar it is to the first. I suppose Capcom has a history of releasing the same g…

  24. OddWorld: Stranger's Wrath was originally an Xbox exclusive. It's being re-released, but at this time it will only be on the PS3. Do you find this odd? According to the developer, Just Add Water, it's not because they don't WANT to give 360 users some OddWorld lovin'. Microsoft at this time has a 2GB limit for XBLA titles, and right now the game is weighing in at a hefty 2.1GB which places it outside the box of a XBLA release. "Currently the title weighs in at 2.1GB and that is without any updates, so either we have to pull a miracle out of the bag with some type of amazing compression system, or ask Microsoft to increase their 2GB limit, however this limit is apparen…
