Bungie To 360Slim 4Gb Owners - No Reach Co-Op For You!

Featured Replies

Did you buy a shiny new 360 Slim?

Did you try to save a bit of loot and sprung for the 4GB version since you can use USB sticks for extra memory?

Well don't try to play Halo: Reach's Co-Op Campaign!

The new 360Slim 4GB version does NOT have a hard drive. Essentially it just has a 4GB memory unit inside of it. So what is the problem? If you have one of these consoles and attempt it you will get the following error:

"One or more players do not have a hard drive which is required for this playlist".

According to the Microsoft official support page, which has been recently updated to reflect this problem, the following reason is given:

"One or more players do not have a certified Xbox 360 hard drive attached to their Xbox 360 console. Some multiplayer aspects of Halo: Reach require an Xbox 360 certified hard drive."

So you can play online multiplayer. Solo campaign. Even firefight modes. But if you want to get down on some online campaign co-op you're going to have to run out and buy a Xbox Slim HDD. These are available for $129.99, effectively making your "cheap buy" around $30 more expensive that just buying the 250GB 360Slim in the first place.

Stuuupiiiid!!!!

Seems an easy fix...... just reroute the coding to allow flash devices that have a certain amount of available space...... you could even patch fix this.

Thanks for the info spawn :D i have a few friends that have the new slim arcade that wanted to do co-op. They'll be glad to know that.
