Fox News "Navarro, the cat found marinating in the trunk of a car, gets to use another of its nine lives. And he gets a new owner -- and a new name, too. Vickie Dankowski, of Cheektowaga in upstate New York, read about the cat in the newspaper and says she immediately wanted to adopt him -- and call him Oliver. “My sister and I went over to the SPCA and interacted and played with Oliver for a few hours and then started the adoption process,” she said. The 4-year-old feline was rescued Sunday from 51-year-old Gary Korkuc, who was preparing the cat as a meal by “marinating” him in oil and peppers in the trunk of his car. Police officers made the discovery during a traffic…

  4. Wow, this reads like a college essay, but it's HILARIOUS. LoL http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Baby_Got_Back Synopsis: In the opening verse, Sir Mix-A-Lot professes his affinity for large buttocks and his inability to disguise this fact from others. He goes on to describe other desirable physical attributes such as a trim waistline, tight fitting garments, and unblemished skin. Though the song does not contain a distinct narrative, the author does visit upon recurrent themes such as female body image as depicted in media, male attitudes towards dating and relationships, and the author’s own sexual prowess. In later verses he expresses his exasperation with the entertainment…

So yeah, I'm a noob. I'm still learning build orders and whatnot. I usually play as the Protoss online, but I've been wanting to try out the Terrans. So I load up SinglePlayer and proceed to make a 1v1 match against a Medium AI. I'm playing along, doing my thing, learning and s.hit. I build a bunch of Marines and Marauders and send them out scouting. I find his base. I attack. I blow up three or four of his structures. And then my mind is blown. I see on the screen, in the chat panel.... and it says: Player 2: [ALL] gg Player 2 wants to surrender I hadn't even killed the AI yet. I blew up a couple structures and the AI, in the CHAT channel, said "gg", which is short …

Yesterday, the lifeguards had the red flags flying (which means no swimming because it's not safe conditions), but today they didn't. So my little brother and I went over to the beach this morning at like 10ish and were out in the water boogie boarding and swimming. The current was pretty strong today though. And I saw a spot down past where we were swimming that looked like a riptide. So I pointed it out to my little brother and we were just cautious to stay up current from it. Well, it's the summer, so there are a ton of tourists on the beach, and there was this one maybe, 7 or 8 year old little boy. He was on a tube for most of the time we were there but I'm no…

So Kirby went to the Vet today for a dental cleaning today. I was in Manhattan and could not get home in time to pick him up before the vet clinic closed at 6pm. .. I called and he is fine .. woke up with ease and is eaten/drinking well. I can pick him up first thing tomorrow morning. .. But . .. I think this is the first night at home Tam and I have spent without him .. and it's .. oddly quiet. Strangely quite. Even though it's only over night I still expect to see him somewhere. .. I don't what it's going to be like for me when I have to put him down. He's 12 or 13 so I know he has a few more years in him . .. but man .. it just seems so lonely here. I don't know how y…

We took our first scenenic drive last Sunday. We drove out the Oregon Scenenic Byway. There are several waterfalls, and it runs along the columbia river some of the way. I loaded them to my facebook, so I'm gonna just post a link to that and hope it works... Link. We are still loving Oregon. Shane really likes his new job too. We are pretty sure he will make more money here than his last. Right now he's still on training pay. But by the looks of the loads he's doing now, he should be able to pull in 5-6 a day, at $50 a load. Right now they are pulling in 3-6, but the thing is they are pulling illegal right now (meaning they are loading more fuel than legal.). When he star…

Well, about 2 months ago, my family had to put down our pet cat of 16 years, Missy. She was part of our family my entire life, so obviously it was a big loss. Today, we finally found the kind of kitten we'd been looking for. A female Russian Blue. We decided to name her Chloe. This is random, but I'm just really excited and felt the need to post it. Haha.

Just reading the Telegraph website, on 1 August an explosion happened on the Sun resulting in an extremely strong CME heading in Earth's direction. NASA have warned Britain (Guessing this would effect here too though) of possible blackouts and long periods without communications. Damage to satellites is expected and grids around the world could be too. There is an upside though. This will result in Northern Lights being visible as far as the northern US, Britain and Ireland. SWEET

Ten Rules for Being Human by Cherie Carter-Scott 1. You will receive a body. You may like it or hate it, but it’s yours to keep for the entire period. 2. You will learn lessons. You are enrolled in a full-time informal school called, “life.” 3. There are no mistakes, only lessons. Growth is a process of trial, error, and experimentation. The “failed” experiments are as much a part of the process as the experiments that ultimately “work.” 4. Lessons are repeated until they are learned. A lesson will be presented to you in various forms until you have learned it. When you have learned it, you can go on to the next lesson. 5. Learning lessons does not end. There’s n…

  16. Started by ThermoNukePanda,

Saturday I started feeling crummy, but I went golfing anyways with my parents. Came home and fell asleep immediately and slept for 13 hours. On Sunday when I woke up I felt like I couldn't even swallow or breathe right. It's not necessarily my throat that hurts (doesn't really hurt in my throat to swallow), but my right gland in my neck is so swollen that it hurts to turn my head or swallow or anything. It's like the size of a baby's fist and you can see on the side of my neck how it pops out cause it's so swollen. So Monday I called in to work and stayed home and slept all day. I woke up a little later and tried to play some Xbox and some PS2, but I was just havin…

Fox News - "A 110 proof beer, the world’s strongest, was launched Thursday by a British firm selling the tipple for $762 a bottle. The blond Belgian ale, named The End of History, is an astonishing 55 percent alcohol by volume (ABV) and is presented in a case made from stuffed animals, including stoats and squirrels. Made by BrewDog, based in Scotland, the beer is infused with fresh juniper berries and nettles from the Scottish Highlands and was developed using an extreme freezing technique. Hundreds of pints of beer were used during the process, which was repeated dozens of times to produce just enough for a 330 milliliter bottle -- hence the record breaking cost. Ja…
