  1. Started by Kevnvek,

So recently my mouse has been having some issues (mostly with left click holds and the middle mouse click), so I finally decided to get a new one. And I figured why not go all out if I'm going to get a new keyboard and mouse. I've never had a real gaming set before (I've been using a nice Logitech wireless combo for the past few years). The rest is copy/pasted from Facebook because I don't want to retype it all lol. The mouse is a Razer Naga wired/wireless rechargeable mouse with a 12 button thumb grid, which I've already mapped to do all kinds of things like copy, paste, back, forward, refresh, and whatnot. They can be remapped to whatever you want but are especial…

  2. The Samsung Galaxy S 4 was just released a few days ago, going on sale across the US through most carriers (root already achieved). Reviews are somewhat mixed, with some claiming this to be the latest best thing in smartphone history, while others are not so impressed. US carrier versions seem to suffer from carrier-itis, which is a medical term for “severely crippled and loaded to the eyeballs with bloatware“. If history has taught us anything since the Galaxy family has been around, it is the fact that Verizon Wireless tends to lock the daylights out of every phone in in their line up. It is in fact, one of the only carriers world wide that actually sell bootloader lock…

So, I'm possibly getting one as a graduation present. Who here has one? My main questions are, it's a good e-reader, and is it worth the investment? Also, what are some of the features on it that put it above the rest of the market?

I am so confuzzled by this monstrosity of a device. I went from a Verizon EnV2 phone to this thing. It's going to take a loooooong time to get used to. Any good free apps I should get right away? Can you watch Netflix streaming on this thing? (I was told you could). Any advice? I have a nice leather kickstand case and the cool matte finish screen protectors.

So I sold my Tritton AX 720's for $100 on eBay yesterday. Bought the AX PRO'S on amazon for $160 today, should be here later this week. Wondering what people that have these think, did I make a good decision? looked around for comparisons but everyone is a fanboy of either Tritton, Turtle Beach, or Astros so its tough to find any non skewed opinions. I loved my AX 720's but I was starting to want more so I needed an upgrade, I was looking elsewhere since Tritton was bought by madcatz, and madcatz sucks so I was worried. But I'm giving them another chance cause they have made me happy so far.

Was looking to purchase a controller to use for PC games. Preferably just one that I could plug in via USB, not very fancy, but would be compatible with or suit me for most games. Could someone point me in the right direction?

So for years and years now I've been using a TELEVISION (LCD) as a monitor for my computer. For a while I was using a 32" Samsung LCD for the monitor but eventually I needed it for a replacement for my TV while I was waiting for my 52" Sony (which I keep in my bedroomo!) to be fixed. The 32" was pretty huge for a PC monitor, but still since it was a 720p TV it didn't support very many resolutions (which is important for PC monitors). I know have this TV hooked up to my PS3 in the living room. In it's place I started to use a 25" Sharp LCD TV w/ built in DVD player. LOL It wasn't very good honestly, and had a decent scuff mark on the upper right of the screen, but it…

AppTag Laser Tag - Real World Shooter Gaming! AppTag Laser Blaster brings first person shooter console gameplay to smartphones in the real world. Obviously, as with any blaster toy, the object is to shoot your friends! The AppTag does the shooting and the smartphone keeps score and tracks everything else, the App even adds Augmented Reality objects such as medkits, armour, weapons and ammo packs! For targeting we use a focused infrared beam and sensor for the 'laser' so it's totally safe. Each unit has an IR sender and receiver, and the AppTag unit works together with an attached smartphone or iPod Touch. http://www.kickstart...er?ref=category

http://thenextweb.com/apps/2011/10/11/adobe-demos-incredible-unblur-feature-for-photoshop/ This can change a lot of things if it works as purported. I can imagine a day when redacted (blacked out) government documents are unraveled before our eyes. Interesting stuff for sure.

  14. So I have some money together and am thinking of getting the first wave of parts for my PC rebuild. I already have a 1k watt modular PSU, GTX 680 GPU, good SB Recon sound card, and BlackMagic capture card to transfer over. I will decide on a mobo/cpu (probably a good mobo and an intel i7 hexacore) when I have the rest to comfortably buy it (within a month or so). But here's what I might order tonight: http://secure.newegg.com/WishList/PublicWishDetail.aspx?WishListNumber=32567288 I also have a second of that 8GB stick of RAM, so the other is for proper dual-channelling. The case that I already have is the NZXT Phantom 410 in white, that totally looks Portal-themed: …

I currently have an AMD HD 6870 from XFX (reference-style card) in my PC. I have a friend that is offering to trade me his EVGA GTX 580 for the trade plus I give him $50. Thoughts on this trade? Worth it? Am I going to see a performance increase at all? I got a youtube channel, everyone has one in this day and age. I upload videos to my channel, ones I record offline and then the raw footage from live streams. Does anyone have a recommendation for video editing software or format converting? Since using video download from twitch turns all the videos in to .flv. I would love to fine tune the videos before being posted. Any and all help/advice is appreciated.

Well. I just made my after Christmas, probably getting a new job, my birthday is in a week, and don't tell the wife the total cost purchase. Brand new Astro A40 Wireless System. http://www.astrogaming.com/ Astro needs to call Tritton and thank them for selling me the worst pos ever. The AX180s. My experience with them has been so horrid that I had to have the opposite of fail and opted for a great headset ( I hope ) . I'll be honest that I think they are over priced. Well, the headset is. The mixamp is worth it. Especially the wireless one that was on sale the past month. 100 bucks for xbox 360/ ps3 surround compatibility with any standard headset is a great pi…

  22. I just read this article on Wired.com about how Android phones are beginning to get non-removable trial apps on phones, much like the bloatware that plagues PCs. Love or hate the iPhone and how controlling Apple is with the phone, it's nice that Apple won't let AT&T add anything to their phones and shoots them down whenever the topic comes up. I know that Google did the same thing with the Nexus One, but, unfortunately, that's not the case with all phone makers. HTC and Samsung have both given in to the carriers requests to add apps that cannot be removed without hacking the phone. Has anyone bought an Android that had these bloatware apps? Would a phone having bloa…

I bought these after an intensive investigation of all the wireless headsets out there. I had a lot of input from members in the Gamercide community and I would like to thank them for their efforts. My conclusion was that the Astro A 40's seemed to be the best out there. I was all set to buy them until I found out they wanted $30 to ship them in 3-5 days. I thought that was an enormous amount of coin to shell out so I looked elsewhere. Glad I did. The Turtle Beach PX5's are just awesome! Sound is clear as crystal. Presets are easy to use and a voice prompt tells you what mode you're in.Those I spoke to in chat said I sounded clear and clean. No feedback to report or backg…

  25. I love GrooveShark. I found out they do have an iPod/Phone/Pad app but you have to jailbreak your iDevice to get it but I found one that will work in the Safari app called JamJockey.com. I had talked on Twitter about how it sucks about GrooveShark not having their app in iTunes (of course, for obvious reasons) and they sent me a tweet suggesting to use them and it's pretty good.
