"Silicon Valley motion-sensing technology company Canesta has announced that it is being purchased by Microsoft, with the sale due to be finalized before the end of 2010. Canesta develops 3D sensing hardware not unlike that used in Kinect, which launches next week. The company also develops software for working with 3D tracking data, which is where we'd most likely see the deal bear fruit in terms of gaming, specifically in the evolution of Kinect's software-driven capabilities. Well I decided to pick this up and.......it's surprisingly good! It is not exactly like the PC version. For example, playing the game normally, you can't just build your own house from scratch right from the get-go rather you must earn the right to build your own houses later on by unlocking it. Although, there are some cheat codes for the game just like PC that you can enter and do whatever you want. To do this you hold down RT, LT, RB, and LB all at once on the start menu. Hey guys .. it's easy to say that Borderlands is one hell of a damn fine game and the very little time I've played online with you guys have been great. But I usually play alone and have gotten through the main story at around Level 42 or 43. However when I started the second play through I thought I would be able to walk around like a god blowing the crap out of everything, but that's not the case. I know the game adjusts the enemies based on your player level and I did the first play through totally legit but now it's sort of annoying me. I'm not going to spoil it for anyone, but the ending was awesome. Definitely an awesome reboot to the series and I cannot WAIT for a sequel! I'll write up my review next week.

Epic announced a Gears of War 3 multiplayer beta, and dedicated servers. I am extremely excited about this, especially the dedicated servers part. Geez! Rockband 3 is going to be expensive!! It's fun but who can afford it all? I have some things but I am still using the Rock Band 1 Drums and Guitar lol. Publisher 2K announced every copy of Borderlands: Game of the Year Edition, which ships next Tuesday, comes with a free membership certificate for the Duke Nukem Forever First Access Club. OddWorld: Stranger's Wrath was originally an Xbox exclusive. It's being re-released, but at this time it will only be on the PS3. Do you find this odd? According to the developer, Just Add Water, it's not because they don't WANT to give 360 users some OddWorld lovin'. Microsoft at this time has a 2GB limit for XBLA titles, and right now the game is weighing in at a hefty 2.1GB which places it outside the box of a XBLA release.
