It's Friday and I'm glad for the weekend to be here. Unfortunately it's going to be rainy and cold this weekend (compared to sunny and almost 70 earlier this week) and they're forecasting maybe some snow on Sunday! Yuck! There goes my golf plans! Anyways, just making a thread to ask how YOU are doing today?

Ok as recently put out i have gotten back into collecting comics. One of my good friends has also started collecting. I mostly go for the new 52 from dc and he for the old amaz spiderman, chew, saga & the new star wars series. Now a few weeks ago we went to a show and while going through i found a few in the $1 box he would like, so i got em...he was stoked. A few weeks later while at my LCS i found a few more $1 ones he could add to his collection. The thing is he finds it odd i do this and says nobodys ever done this for him before. I try to tell him where im from and in my family this is common prac. You know you see something a buddy would love its a buck o…

Ladies and gentleman, I'd like to introduce Ramona. She's only 9 weeks old, only weighs a couple pounds if that, is what they apparently call a "Silkchon" (Silky Terrier and Bichon mix), and she is already a complete terror (in a good way of course haha). Its so weird how she has like brown highlights in her hair (I enhanced it a little with Instagram for affect), but it's completely noticeable in the sunlight.

Game designers need to get away from this bullcrap checkpoint system, where you get checkpoints that you restart to when you die, but only get a save point after some completely freaking arbitrary length of time, if you get to a certain area. It happened to me in Bioshock Infinite, and now again in Dead Space 3. Maybe I'm trying to go to sleep and don't have another 30 minutes to play to hope that I get that little "game saving" message in the corner to pop up seemingly at random. I don't see any real reason for not letting the checkpoints just be the save points. And in case of trouble there could be a "recover to last major save point" type option, if it's a matter …

http://insidetv.ew.com/2013/04/22/futurama-not-renewed-comedy-central/ In my opinion the original 5 seasons are just as good than the best Simpsons seasons, but the movies were just merely okay, and the new episodes have also just been not bad. As much as I love the show, can't say I'm disappointed, better to end on a good run rather than going on forever and just being generally pretty bad like how the Simpsons have been for a long time now.

4.0 out of 5 stars Slide Back Into the Game! October 12, 2011 By Jerome Albertson I knew getting back in the "dating game" would be a challenge after being out of it for over 5 years. When I was released from Joliet, I had to learn all the new things "the dating crowd" was trying. I knew about scented candles and Luther Vandross CDs, and sure was glad to hear people still use them. But I had no idea that "lube" was so popular with the "romantics" out there. All it took was one stroll through the Walgreens personal hygiene aisle to prove I had to learn a new thing. "Where to start?", I wondered. I wanted something simple. However, all I saw in the stores were lubricants t…

So I'm sure this is VERY poor form, but I absolutely could not stop laughing at some of these, especially the "my mouth is full" one. Here is the original story I read, and more of these can be found here and here

The New York City Police Department announced Wednesday that it will deploy, then track, what it calls “harmless” gases into the city’s subway system over three non-consecutive days this summer. Read the rest at the link below http://rt.com/usa/nypd-gas-subway-terror-drill-416/

Nope, that headline is not a joke. The DIY Network, perhaps believing that there are not already enough Amish reality shows on TV, will debut a new series starring Vanilla Ice (also known as Carrollton-raised Robert van Winkle). Vanilla Ice Goes Amish will premiere on the network this year, the Associated Press reports. Vanilla Ice will live among an Amish community in Ohio, and learn about construction from Amish craftsmen. Which makes sense only if you were aware that Vanilla Ice already has a show on DIY about home renovation. Speaking of which, The Vanilla Ice Project will air its fourth (!) season this fall, the AP says http://popcultureblog.dallasnews.com/2013/0…

Today is May Day. I've been wanting to quit for a long time now, even made it my new year resolution. I was going to earlier this year, but after the whole thing with my mom getting sick and all the stress I put it off. So I made myself a promise that I'd quit by May Day. I called the New York State smoker's quit line last month and they sent me the patches for free which is good. I quit for two years before, and I know I can do it again. Wish me luck! I'll friggin' need it!

So I finally got my first smartphone today. A Samsung Galaxy S4. Pretty nifty device. Sure there are bad things about AT&T, but it's awesome to have a device with me that can do so much. I had originally been thinking about getting an iPhone 5 until I had heard about this one and did some comparisons. So now I don't have to have another Apple product besides my iPod, yay.

So last Friday, my boss was out of town and Jason and I got a new house. It happened last minute and we had to go sign everything. So I had to leave work and the only person there was the last guy that we hired last year and I told him I wasn't sure if I'd be back, but if not have a good weekend. Anyway, totally forgot I left early and handed in my time card thing last night with my usual forty hours. So I'm late this morning because I locked myself out of the house and I called my boss on my way to work to let him know what happened and when I'd be there. I get here and he's in a bad mood. I'm like oh great. So he called me back into his office and to shorten this…

http://www.gawker.com/all-my-friends-are-dead-489716639 This is worth your time to read. It actually made me sob while reading it. So many painful memories linked to family and friends who are being 'helped' by the little prescription bottle. More often than not, them becoming far worse off after their pill therapy ended. Imagine taking a vacation from real life for years at a time. You end up stopping taking your prescription for whatever reasons, and you're thrust into a new world you haven't taken part in for a long time. It's such a shock that most don't even know how to cope with it, or even know how to begin to fit back into it. It's essentially a very crude, un…

Yesterday, I finally graduated from Penn State and begin working full time in Pittsburgh on June 10th. It's kind of surreal finally finishing school and that I'll prob never set foot in a classroom ever again. I was fortunate enough to have my family come and my girlfriend too from Brooklyn. I'll try and maybe post some pictures later. Hard to believe I was a freshman in High School when I joined the ATC and now I'm a college graduate entering the real world...

http://gawker.com/the-chilling-case-of-fat-longpig-the-cannibal-with-a-493196615 I want to cry after reading this article. Granted I don't know if he actually DID anything (other than distribute and look at child pornography which in itself is atrocious), but people like this who actually go THAT FAR in creating the scene where they will do the deeds need to be locked up and the key thrown away.... ...or hit in the head with a brick repeatedly. Preferably the second option. During the execution of the search warrant at PORTWAY’s residence, HSI agents also discovered a locked door in the basement of the residence. Inside the door was a sally port that led to …
