  1. Started by Siren,

We dropped Comcast awhile ago and I didn't think we'd regret it this bad....BUT we switched to Century Link which is the only other high speed internet people that come out here in this area and this is what we get and we sure as hell aren't getting what we pay for. At least w/ Comcast we got 25mbps. This is like turtle poo speed.

Friday is your last chance to see a "blue" moon for a few years. Well it's not actually blue but there were two full moons in one month. Hopefully the weather will hold up, because I'll be out there taking photos. Link

Nuff said. The above lifestyle as it applies to the average man.

"The "Brief Safe" is an innovative diversion safe that can secure your cash, memory cards, documents, and other small valuables from inquisitive eyes and thieving hands, both at home and when you're traveling. Items can be hidden right under their noses with these specially-designed briefs which contain a fly-accessed 4"x10" hidden compartment with Velcro closure and realistic "special markings". Leave the "Brief Safe" in your laundry basket or washing machine at home, or in your suitcase in a hotel room - even the most hardened burglar or curious snoop will skid to a screeching halt as soon as they see these. Personally I prefer boxers.

I hate reformatting my computer, but it must be done. Maybe this weekend. That is all.

  7. It's not just children who like to build towers with Lego - the internet is alive with discussion on how many Lego bricks, stacked one on top of the other, it would take to destroy the bottom brick. So what's the answer? There has been a burning debateon the social news website Reddit. It's a trivial question you might think, but one the Open University's engineering department has - at the request of the BBC's More or Less programme - fired up its labs to try to answer. "It's an exciting thing to do because it's an entirely new question and new questions are always interesting," says Dr Ian Johnston, an applied mathematician and lecturer in engineering. Looking on the in…

Me: It's been a while since I've logged into I-tunes. When I originally got i-tunes was allowed to link my aim name and used my AIM (aol instant messenger) name to log in and at the time it was Avahra. I tried to recover the password via the birthday and email and it said both answers were incorrect. I'm going to assume something has changed since I last used itunes, and I admit it's been a while. Unfortunately, both my computer and Ipod were both lost in the hurricane. I would like to be able to recover all of my music to a new IPOD but I can't do so without any of this. I need help :| Apple: Standard reply telling me to do everything that I have already done. Me: Y…

So I made a post awhile back about Ash going to a special school now. She's still studying to be in the vet field. SHE MADE THE HONOR ROLL!!! She has a grade point average of 3.25. This is the first time EVER for her. She is doing so good! A month ago, due to her good grades we paid for drivers ed and drivers training ($350 bucks!). She finished the drivers ed, and took the test. The kid passed it first go, and only missed 1! She had her first test drive, and is now driving with her dad. She LOVES driving! Funny thing? Ian is 20 and she is not even 16 yet and she'll probably have her license before he will. He'd rather ride his bike lol. But he does have his permit to…

This sounds like incredible fun, especially if alcohol is involved. The long version: (worth the read) The short version: Werewolf“Werewolf is a simple game for a large group of people (seven or more.) It requires no equipment besides some bits of paper; you can play it just sitting in a circle. I’d call it a party game, except that it’s a game of accusations, lying, bluffing, second-guessing, assassination, and mob hysteria.” – Andrew Plotkin

  14. Once upon a time between now and then People milled about the city Among fetid trash and rats and piss Cement and steel, dull and gritty They ministered to their tight schedules Occasionally pausing just to stare So long as they weren’t involved, Why should they spend precious time to care? It was a typical gloomy urban day When the grey clouds parted in the skies And an enormous penis descended down While the people watched with awestruck eyes It throbbed as it hovered over them A humongous blood-engorged phallic god, And it drooled a golden seltzer juice From the crimson tip of its erect rod As the people looked on horrified While the shaft continued to leak The…

I try to tell him where im from and in my family this is common prac. You know you see something a buddy would love its a buck o…

I am failing out of college(yet to tell my parents). I need to go away for awhile and figure out what I am actually gonna do with myself. I can't keep pretending that I can make up all of the lost time I took from alot of people. I just wanted to say I loved every minute here, and i'm actually crying a little bit right now. Now I am gonna go let my parents know the last 2 years have been full of nothing but me wasting thousands of their dollars so I could fuck around. I love all of you. -Tyler "Sholtz" Laster

No, really. But a cool one. Been missing lately more than the norm, because Minon's been training for Battle of the Nations - and I've been both helping out and training alongside him. I'm not going to do it, but can't hurt to build up stamina, right? In case you're wondering what it is, it's basically REAL LIFE Chivalry. And it's pretty awesome. It's essentially a stamina battle, and once you're down on three points, you're considered "dead". It's pretty freaking brutal. There's no "safe" areas, so headshots, everything are valid just like an actual battle. You have to have high grade armour too. Minion's forging some of his own - but things like the helmet e…

Summary: Microsoft can only hope that it's re-invention of Windows 8, Windows 8.1 aka Blue, works because Windows 8 continues to fall behind even Vista's dismal desktop operating system market acceptance numbers. As for the mobile operating system space, Microsoft needs a miracle. The real take-away from Net Applications' May 2013 release of NetMarketShare monthly operating system statistics is that, as PC sales continue to collapse, Microsoft's Windows 8 sales are helping them to plunge to the bottom. While Microsoft apologists focus on Windows continuing to be the dominant desktop operating system, they keep missing the two elephants in the room: Windows 8 conti…

So. My internet's been acting up lately (Comcast sucks) and I did a speedtest which showed about 3Mbps down, 10Mbps up (I usually only get 4-6 up, too). Annoying when I usually get about 25-35 down/4-6 up. However, a few minutes ago I restarted the router and got THIS result. Wow lol. Now if it would stay like this that would be amazing, but über fast speeds don't matter when the connection isn't reliable. Here's hoping that things clear up.

Winner of DLC Quest #1 Congratulations, LG! Please send me a PM with your email. Thank you. Winner of Valdis Story: Abyssal City #1 Congratulations, Antoinette. I will trade you that game over Steam since it is in my inventory there. Now for some explanations on why only a few names were in the drawing when it looked like more than three had entered. Some already had both games but wanted to make a funny post anyways. I was totally cool with that. Another had just won another giveaway and he wanted to make a post as well. All good. Since there were only three, I'm going to make sure all my contestants win something. Keep your eyes and ears open, Dateranoth. =)…
