Looks like there is only 91 million public IPv4 addresses left. Of which they are expected to be gone in roughly 30 days. Google and many other sites are planning a world IPv6 day to test for the transition to that protocol. Article below, IPv6 test below that. http://www.neowin.net/news/world-ipv6-day-google-facebook-and-others-testing-for-24-hours http://test-ipv6.com/

So I shattered my left wrist and had a plate put in yesterday. I've tried a few games but using the left joystick is pretty painful. I've exhausted the interesting titles on Netflix, rented all the good movies from RedBox, and the boredom is sinking in. Can anyone think of a fun game that uses very little left analog? I'll be making a trip to a game store later to try and remedy this.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1368772/Lu-Hao-60kg-9-stone-years-old.html Wow, he's three years old and already weighs over 130lbs. Yikes! Definitely has to be a hormonal problem or something. It's strange though, and I'm not making a racist joke or anything, but can he even see? It's like the fat folds on his face keep his eyes constantly closed from what I see looking at the pictures on the site.

  8. SEVEN AND A HALF HOURS. WTF. Seriously? And to top it all off it's not like it just defrags once. It went through NINE "passes"? I've never seen that before and I only used the regular Windows system defrag tool. And every "pass" it analyzes, defrags, consolidates and something else I forgot.

Fox News You might expect a cement-shoed mobster in the waters off New York -- but a sea monster? Local newspapers and blogs have been consumed with the news that a "sea monster" has washed up at the foot of the famed Brooklyn Bridge in New York City. The seven-foot long beast, dubbed the East River Monster, was found on the Manhattan side of the bridge on May 21. And was it ever ugly. "It had the scales of a fish, body of a serpent, head of a pit bull and was the size of a large alligator," wrote Maureen O'Connor, a blogger on the Gawker website. Theories ran the gamut from horse to alligator to Loch Ness beast -- or even a relative of the Montauk Monster. Marine biolo…

So I was thinking about making a thread along these lines for a while. Here you can basically just post cliches that annoy you. The cliches can be from movies, books, games, or anything. I sort of got the inspiration for this from Cracked. It's just for fun, I'll start with one. And yes I realize I am missing the accent over the e in cliche, but I can't be arsed to look up the keyboard shortcut for that symbol lol. If it becomes a problem for some people, we can use the Spoiler tag, as some of the examples may spoil the plot of some movies/books/etc. Cut Off the Head and the Body Dies Syndrome - The hero is confronted with all of the enemies in one final battle, and …

Were any of you guys on the east coast affected Irene at all? I'm in Massachusetts on the border of Rhode Island and I got absolutely slammed. We got 7 inches of rain in 36 hours, prolonged thunderstorms, sustained winds of 50mph, and winds up to 75mph. Will update later. Have no power and won;t for about a week.

If you're in the market for new hard drives I would suggest waiting it out. Seems flooding in Thailand has caused major shortages in them. http://www.techspot.com/news/46128-flooding-causes-spike-in-hdd-prices-asus-might-run-out-this-month.html I actually was wondering what was up the other day. I was looking for two 2TB drives and couldn't find them anywhere for less than 140 bucks. Luckily came across a deal at best buy for 75 each. The prices I'm seeing for most have nearly doubled. I wouldn't be surprised if it effects the costs of laptops and prebuilt pcs.

Seriously I don't get it. Why do people act the way they do? I've seen so many videos, and I don't understand why wait in line for hours just to rush and try to beat someone else. You couldn't pay me to go shopping on black friday. I would rather pay full price on something then have to act like a complete fool. Seriously I am so embarrassed when I see people excited about it or videos of it. Seriously do people really need a material item to be happy. It blows my mind honestly. Ordering online it totally different in my opinion or at least going just at a decent time. But to rush a door is just moronic.

It's mardi gras weekend and I've managed to go to one parade so far. (It rained all day Saturday so I didn't go out, but I do plan on doing things tomorrow) The pics aren't the greatest quality, and I didn't get many as my phone died. The parade these first pics are from is The Krewe Of Centurions, Excalibur.

I posted what that little boy wrote about being in Vagin@ a few days ago and when Granite came home yesterday I got my own little surprise in his notebook. There is a girl in his class named Savannah and apparently she's a hoe according to Granite. Now keep in mind Granite's only in Kindergarten, lol.

  24. So, I FINALLY won the battle with my new 680GTX and made my water block fit today. It didn't go as easy as I could have hoped. Had to do some modifications of the card to get the water block to fit. Pulled the 480GTX: Had to pull out all my bags of tricks: I thought these tabs were the only thing in the way. Ground them down: Installed everything. Looked and felt like everything was making contact: This wasn't the case. It must have had just a tiny gap. My temps were just about the same as on air. In other words. Complete failure. Back to the Dremel board: With a little, lot? more modification I made some clearance: This time I was confident that it was making ful…
