That's right, HyperDuck performed magic once again. That's two years in a row, that our two friends won big at Dream. Build. Play. First place, two years running! That's $20,000 AND the game they did the music for, will be on an XBLA title! I'm especially proud of them and Extend Studios, since the field was ripe with talent. There was a nice group of contenders for sure. That's not a sleight on last years entries, either. They were good, too. Dean Dodrill, though, is a master craftsman. Dust: An Elysian Tale was an early favorite of mine, so maybe I'm a bit biased. Congratulations to our friends Chris and Dan, and also Extend Studios. Bravo, gentlemen. We all look forwar…

I've found a bunch of ClapTrap Audio files on the web, and would like to share them with you guys. They make a perfect ring tone, I'm currently using the one where Claptrap goes "I'm Dancin, I'm Dancin!!" I uploaded them to Mediafire, so they're separate files. Just download the ones you want, or all of them if you feel like it. Ok, I'll name them. That way it will be easier for you guys to pick which one you want to download: "Haha!!" Click Here "Hey there, stranger!" Click Here "Did you know?" Click Here "I'm over here!" Click Here "Annnnnnnnd open!" Click Here "Oww!" Click Here "Wait...Is that? Oh no! Not again, ruuuuuun!!" Click Here "Good as new, I think...Am I le…

By Kris Graft - Gamasutra The International Game Developers Association on Friday condemned censorship of video games, as California's long-debated video game law heads to the Supreme Court. "Video games are at the heart of technical and artistic innovation," said IGDA Chair Gordon Bellamy. "Singling out games from other media is not only unconstitutional, according to courts throughout the country, but it also stigmatizes a leading industry in our economy that's embraced by millions in all walks of life." IGDA's condemnation of censorship comes as the U.S. Supreme Court decided to review California's video game bill, which seeks to put age restrictions on the sale of gam…

I happen to stumble upon this, don't know if any of you guys know about it. But this is the animation they use for games like, Grand Theft Auto IV, Red Dead Redemption etc. You can download the learning edition for free, and it comes with pretty much everything you need to have to start doing cool ****. It's really interesting to mess around with, when you're bored. You can create bullets to come flying at the dummies, and pillars to crush them. Click here to go download it.

So all this jazz going on with Greece being an ******* got me thinking. Is it possible for a state in the US to go bankrupt? Not the whole country but just one state? And in that case, what happens with that state?

From http://hyperboleanda...everything.html The Alot is Better Than You at Everything As a grammatically conscientious person who frequents internet forums and YouTube, I have found it necessary to develop a few coping mechanisms. When someone types out "u" instead of "you," instead of getting mad, I imagine them having only one finger on each hand and then their actions seem reasonable. If I only had one finger on each hand, I'd leave out unnecessary letters too! If I come across a person who seems to completely ignore the existence of apostrophes and capital letters and types things like "im an eagle and im typing with my talons, so dont make fun of me cuz th…

So I'm looking into getting some gaming headphones, or maybe asking for them for my birthday, and I wanted to get some recommendations. So far it looks like it's mainly between Turtle Beaches (x41s?) and Trittons (Ax720s or AxPros?). I don't want an entry level one, I would like some in full 5.1 surround, but I also don't really want to spend over $200 at the most ($180 or less, really lol). So I guess Trittons and Turtle Beaches aren't TOO different, but some TBs are wireless requiring AAAs (24 packs being purchasable for $10, probably last a couple months) and Trittons have an AC adapter to plug in (kind of like the idea of not needing batteries better). Does anyone hav…

It's awesome.

http://www.destructoid.com/deadly-premonition-is-blatantly-better-than-heavy-rain-165288.phtml Warning, some of the language is a bit on the coarse side, but I swear to sweet baby jesus that this is the most accurate article I've read in a LONG TIME. Simply put... Deadly Premonition >>>> Heavy Rain!!! It's the truth!

Bungie is no longer bound to Microsoft. Looks like the whole concept of exclusivity is melting away. http://www.joystiq.c...ith-activision/ Of course it has nothing to do with Halo which MS owns but still that's pretty big news.

Ok. I wanted to bring this up to everyone and see what you all thought. I think it would be a good idea to have a Gamercide stream account on JTV. The account could be ran and moderated by trusted individuals from Gamercide and then other or all members can stream to it. This can be done because the stream ID is all that's needed to stream, not the Account password. Streamers could be given the Stream ID, and then stream to the Gamercide channel. The downside being, only one person could stream at a time. So, there would have to be some kind of schedule involved. I understand that not everyone could stick to a true schedule, but we could use it as a general guide line. W…
