A couple of things came up. Nothing to fret or worry about. We're pushing it back one week and it's going to be worth the wait. So, new date is Feb 7th starting at 6 PM EST and continuing on at 9 PM EST on a live stream to be decided later. Keep checking this thread for updates on which channel and the link to it. If anyone has any questions, please feel free to ask them here. I will not be answering why we pushed it back. It's of minor importance and the giveaway should be the main focus. Best of luck to everyone! ***** Update: The livestream portion of the giveaway will be held on the Gamercide channel on Twitch. - http://www.twitch.tv/gamercide *****

It was going to happen eventually, amaright guys?!

Joystiq, a gaming site that has existed for a whole bunch of years now, was purchased by AOL back in 2005. It's being reported now, rumor or no, that AOL has plans to close down the website after traffic has declined 18% in the past year. Both Kotaku and Joystiq are reporting the story, but at this time AOL and Joystiq have no comment on speculation (although Joystiq seems aware that it's pretty much bound to happen). Kind of sad, I always enjoyed checking out Joystiq every couple days and also looking out for reviews on their site as well (since I appreciate differing viewpoints)

Hope you are having a wonderful birthday! P.S. I shamelessly stole the above picture.

Go go go, Gamercide. Please go show some support and lend some encouraging words. A 24 hour stream is bad, but our BE just upped the bar. Do your duty and make sure she doesn't pass out on webcam. Watch live video from MrsBadExample on www.twitch.tv

PK & I started the playthrough at midnight launch and went until 5am. It was fun and a reminder of how fun the Dead Island games are with a co-op run. Of course I had to deal with PK's trolliness (exploding propane, molotov's in face, breaking rooftops, etc.) but that's part of the enjoyment. Weapons, crafting, fighting are all familiar if you've done a Dead Island game and the new parkour mechanics add to maneuverability around the map. At one point we were dangling 100 ft from a water main under an underpass just to get to the next waypoint! A lot of fun and broken limbs, lol. I streamed the run and will continue it tonight if you guys would like to stop by. Drop…

I saw the eagles carrying a small monkey the first time, and I thought that was strange. This time, I'm taking a nice little flight, and I see one grab a goat. Crazy birds!

Was reading Gizmodo this morning and came across some mighty interesting stuff. I'll try to summarize a bit, but you may want to check out the original article over here. Tracking cookies and URL requests are pretty common these days, but tracking an incredible amount of your personal medical history, status and other factors should be extremely concerning. It's come to light that embedded within Healthcare.gov are a large amount of tracking URLs and requests that are sending this information to sites like Doubleclick, Yahoo, Chartbeat, and even Twitter and Youtube!! (There is a chart in the original article showing a partial list of these external sites Health…

my daughter got a new Olde English Bulldog mix puppy, our boxer is less than thrilled about sharing toys and bones with it. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=1526721957601398&set=ms.c.eJwzNDUyMzcytDQ1NzMwNLa00DOECliYGJlZGJgZQQWMDIzAAqYWAANHCiY%7E-.bps.a.1526721564268104.1073741829.100007908249687&type=1

I haven't logged in here for a very long time, and it was long over due to say hello to my internet friends and family. The list at the bottom doesn't currently show anyone logged in, so I'll stop by later and see what is up with everyone. I miss hanging out with all of you and hope we can catch up soon. -Stealthy

H1Z1 has just released on Steam, and a recent change/addition from the developers is causing some serious outcries of anger from the playerbase. Originally the developers claimed that they truly wanted to avoid the game becoming "pay to win". Players could supposedly spend real money in the game to purchase wearable items and cosmetic things, but being able to spend money on immediate weapons/ammo/food was absolutely out of the question. See the following screenshot where they claimed the "whole game would suck" if people were able to immediate purchase such things. And with the release of the game now apparently they've taken a complete turnaround of this minds…

Here is the last major speech that I did for my speech class, on Wednesday. The topic is Peace Through Violence, how learning violent martial arts like Shou Shu can bring you greater discipline in your behavior. I got a bit nervous in the beginning and had a couple brief pauses to catch my thoughts, but considering that I had memorized the entire speech to perform without my notes (again; despite the teacher's urging that we do the speech extemporaneously from notes), I think I did quite well. Also, here is another demonstration of the aggressive vs. joint lock variation of a technique that I show in the speech:

Christmas is full of shiny things That sparkle, gleam and glow; These holiday pleasures dazzle us, And yet, deep down, we know... That Christmas has its special gifts, But our year-round joy depends On the cherished people in our lives, Our family and our friends. -By Joanna Fuchs Merry Christmas Gamercide. To the friends we've just met, to the ones we've grown to love for almost a decade. Here's looking to another great year ahead of us. Love and peace, Gamercide family.

Miscellaneous Rules: Anybody who sends me a PM with one complaint is getting publicly shamed this year with a screenshot and it appearing openly in the forum. I have had it with the amount of PM's I receive year after year. I gave everybody the chance this year to say what they wanted to out in the open and nobody really did. So I am having none of it this year. There will be no preview list this year of what the prizes will be. You can find the reason for this in the "Donator" section.Categories this year include: Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS4, PS3, PC, Wii U, and Tablet/Ipad/mobile devices.Kira is in charge of making up the list of the winners. Nobody else is to do this, but K…
