Dateranoth has given me permission to start a poll to determine which of my themes the community would prefer for the background on the livestream page (justin.tv and twitch.tv). If you've got a moment, please have a look and cast a vote. Themes can be tweaked and tooled, and I am open to suggestions from the community, so remember you're voting on a general theme. I'd like to have results within a week's time, however if we don't get a lot of votes by then, we may leave it open longer. Here are your choices: Theme #1: Multi-skull - tan Theme #2: Reaper skull Theme #3: Multi-skull - multiple colors Theme #4: Real skull Thanks all, and happy voting!

There’s more than one way to stick it to The Man. There’s civil disobedience, subversive propaganda, political art, outright violent revolt--each possessing its own degree of difficulty and consequence. In a decidedly 21st-century twist, team of German hackers bent on fighting the powers that be has chosen a rather ambitious means of taking the power back: building a hacker-owned and -operated space program, complete with a constellation of communications satellites beaming uncensored Internet to users on the ground. The Hackerspace Global Grid was borne out of a call to action at the Chaos Communication Congress in Berlin, where hackers of all stripes gather to mull the …

The maker of Twinkies and Wonder Bread, is filing for Chapter 11 backruptcy protection for the second time in recent years, the Wall Street Journal reports. According to recent news, Google, Amazon, Facebook, and possibly other major sites such as Wikipedia may be planning a coordinated backout in response to SOPA. If this does occur, it looks like the sites will be taken COMPLETELY down and show only a page urging users to contact their congressmen so they can use their favorite web sites in the future. I can only imagine the impact this would have if it actually goes through... Read more here: http://www.foxnews.c...k-blackout-net/

Holy mother of god. Gabe Newell is rolling in sandwiches right now. I just saw figures for 2011 for what Steam delivered to PC gamers. One number stands out to me. "Meanwhile Steam doubled the amount of data it delivered in content in 2011 vs 2010, serving over 780 Petabytes of data to gamers around the world" SEVEN HUNDRED AND EIGHTY MOTHEREFFING PETABYTES!!!!! I think I'll just leave this graphic here for a bit to let that sink in.

If you haven't heard about this 'recent' mystery of birds dying off, black bird or otherwise, check out Google. Here's an example - http://www.google.com/search?q=million+dead+blackbirds&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a t’s absolutely shocking news: The U.S. Department of Agriculture has publicly admitted it is responsible for the mass poisoning of tens of millions of birds over the last several years. It’s all part of the USDA’s program called “Bye Bye Blackbird,” and we even have the USDA’s spreadsheet where they document how many millions of birds (and other animals) they’ve poisoned to death. Definitely read on…

It’s one thing to make an object invisible, like Harry Potter’s mythical cloak. But scientists have made an entire event impossible to see. They have invented a time masker. Think of it as an art heist that takes place before your eyes and surveillance cameras. You don’t see the thief strolling into the museum, taking the painting down or walking away, but he did. It’s not just that the thief is invisible — his whole activity is. What scientists at Cornell University did was on a much smaller scale, both in terms of events and time. It happened so quickly that it’s not even a blink of an eye. Their time cloak lasts an incredibly tiny fraction of a fraction of a second. Th…

NEW ORLEANS – Radar used in the stealth bomber and to find roadside bombs in Afghanistan and Iraq is moving into the sewers of Louisiana. The aim is finding empty spaces where dirt has seeped into sewers and water pipes before they spread to create huge buttholes or "stinkholes" that can collapse roadways and sidewalks above them. The radar was developed for the Defense Department. Researchers at Louisiana Tech University -- bankrolled by a Florida sewer inspection company -- adapted it to look for potential buttholes before they reach the surface. The system is to be tested in January in Slidell, where a butthole that popped up this fall alongside a major thoroughfare c…

Congress is voting today on SOPA. If you have a moment, you should take five minutes and call your Congressional representative now! Here is a VERY easy way which practically does everything for you. http://engineadvocacy.com/voice/ Enter your name, phone number and zip code and the site will automatically call you and connect you directly to the Congressional switchboard. When the operator answers, ask to speak to your local representative. They will ask for your zip code and connect you. You will probably get a secretary, but if you're lucky you may get to speak directly to your representative. Tell them to VOTE NO TO SOPA! Tell them to take a look at the Occupy Mov…

as the title says, I just got into college (I am growing up) been saving up for a while, so I will be staying in a dorm, I'm just doing the basics for now but my primary goal is Graphic designer, for websides and such, or maybe even 3d models for videogames. Been saving up for a while, will properly learn here for like 2 years, and then move on to Denmark or Sweden. So I won't be on as much, might be online on weekends (If I'm not working).. So yeah. Live Long and Prosper \V/ (lol Startrek, even though I'm more into Star Wars, it just seemed appropriate)

I can't believe that people are actually SCAMMING the system when it comes to the Humble Indie Bundle and the current Steam Holiday Sale in order to try to work the system to get more entries into the stupid Steam Holiday contest. It makes me VERY angry that people would stoop so low, but of course not a lot surprises me these days. So, I'm giving a big F U to all the asshats out there who ruin all the good things for the rest of us.

I want to hear your vote for the greatest story ever told in a game. Please use examples and your reason for your choice. Maybe we can vote afterwords and proclaim the winner in a Gamercide article and post it on Gamercide.org?? I think we need stronger story lines and more character development in the games we play. The more invested I am in my character the more I'm impacted by the game play. I'll give my vote after a few posts. I want to think about this a little bit. I have a few in mind and have to narrow it down. So what say you GC?

Now that i have my own family we dos some of those and alos making new ones. So what do you do? Fifth from the Front By Eric Christensen Fifth from the front Fourth from the rear Anxious to see if Santa’s been here Wish Dad would hurry And give the “All Clear!” ‘Cause I’m Fifth from the fr…
