Resident Evil will be getting yet another movie added to the list, bringing the total of movies that have nothing to do with series except for the name up to five. Sony Pictures announced today that a fifth movie has been ordered and should be in theaters on September 14, 2012. I was an iPad hater for awhile but now I sort of want one. Not to feed into the Apple hype or to look like a trendy D-bag on the train .. but after reading most of Stephen Fry's review and seeing that Marvel Comics demo I think I could get a lot of use out of this thing. I already subscribe to Marvel's Digital comic library, and I think I heard that Hulu will be available on this thing eventually .. so yeah .. I'll likely invest in either the 2nd or 3rd gen of this thing. Any one else?

Hello. I'm eminutia and I'm a Gearsaholic. lol really, I love the game but I can't seem to compete with these pros, they take me out with their shotgun every time. I'm back into playing it because I want to prepare for the third and final installation in the series, to get my skills up. The guys (Cliff, Rod et al) say that the shotgun mechanics are going to remain the same, and I really want to learn how to use it but I always miss, and I can't seem to strafe and shoot, my reticule is always off a bit and the ******** get me every time. This is a weird post for many of you, because the majority of you don't play the game much but I KNOW theres some Gears guys around here …

PK & I started the playthrough at midnight launch and went until 5am. It was fun and a reminder of how fun the Dead Island games are with a co-op run. Of course I had to deal with PK's trolliness (exploding propane, molotov's in face, breaking rooftops, etc.) but that's part of the enjoyment. Weapons, crafting, fighting are all familiar if you've done a Dead Island game and the new parkour mechanics add to maneuverability around the map. At one point we were dangling 100 ft from a water main under an underpass just to get to the next waypoint! A lot of fun and broken limbs, lol. So I got a kilt. I posted a couple dorky pics in another thread, but here they are again. This Sunday I went to the 148th Annual Scottish Highland Gathering and Games in Pleasanton, CA and I used that kilt to participate in The Kilted Mile. I got fourth with a time of about 6:11, while the winner finished in 5:03. Pretty good, I'd say. H1Z1 has just released on Steam, and a recent change/addition from the developers is causing some serious outcries of anger from the playerbase. Originally the developers claimed that they truly wanted to avoid the game becoming "pay to win". Players could supposedly spend real money in the game to purchase wearable items and cosmetic things, but being able to spend money on immediate weapons/ammo/food was absolutely out of the question. See the following screenshot where they claimed the "whole game would suck" if people were able to immediate purchase such things. We've officially entered the generation of expected DLC and missing features with the upcoming release of EA's newest entry into the Battlefield series of games. Battlefield: Hardline is slated to be released March 17th, 2015 with the retail price of $59.99. While this is considered normal pricing for games this generation, EA is offering an additional "Premium" mode at a cost to those interested in the amount of $59.99 on top of the retail pricing. For my final project in English class, I'm doing research into videogame violence, and its effect on people. I need to find two "voices" on the subject. One that is against violence in games, and one that is for (or at least not against it). I was thinking about using Jack Thompson as my anti-violence voice, but he seems a bit too crazy/extreme, and I can't think of any great voices for games with violence off the top of my head. Does anyone have any suggestions that I could use for either? It'd be a great help.

Many things can be created with a 3D printer. What will the government say we can and cannot print out for ourselves? Medicine? prosthetic limbs? Guns? This is a technology that is already present and will only get better and cheaper to own. I'm posting from my laptop. I had another BSoD that, when viewed with a program called BlueScreenView, seemed to be related to the GPU, as tech support informed me. I had it before when I first got my system and it was buggy, but I reformatted it and haven't had any problems since. A couple hours ago I just got that BSoD again, called tech support, got the info, and just shipped out the GPU. It was under suspicion of being faulty since I got it, so now I'm getting it RMA'd.
