So for years and years now I've been using a TELEVISION (LCD) as a monitor for my computer. For a while I was using a 32" Samsung LCD for the monitor but eventually I needed it for a replacement for my TV while I was waiting for my 52" Sony (which I keep in my bedroomo!) to be fixed. The 32" was pretty huge for a PC monitor, but still since it was a 720p TV it didn't support very many resolutions (which is important for PC monitors). I know have this TV hooked up to my PS3 in the living room. In it's place I started to use a 25" Sharp LCD TV w/ built in DVD player. LOL It wasn't very good honestly, and had a decent scuff mark on the upper right of the screen, but it…

  6. So I'm looking into maybe eventually getting a capture device to let me stream from my Xbox 360, PS3, and Wii, but don't know much about them. I was told this (http://www.amazon.co...06604332&sr=8-1) was good for the price, but after looking at some user reviews and such they say it can lower the video quality you actually see in your game, and it only captures at 480p. Does anyone know of any other good capture cards? If it's a cheaper one that's still good I can get it fairly soon, if not it would be something I look into later if I want to get a higher end one for better quality.

If you are an owner of a new multicore Intel CPU for example Intel core I7 and Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 OS, you already might notice that some of the cores in your resource monitor are marked as parked. This is a new feature of windows 7/2008 operating system that is made to balance energy consumption by your CPU. So let’s say if you are performing some tasks that do not consume a lot of CPU power, all the cores that are parked will remain in that state. However, if you are running something that requires a lot of CPU power, all the cores, which were previously parked, will be placed in the active state (unparked) to perform the task. And after it’s done, they wil…

I got a youtube channel, everyone has one in this day and age. I upload videos to my channel, ones I record offline and then the raw footage from live streams. Does anyone have a recommendation for video editing software or format converting? Since using video download from twitch turns all the videos in to .flv. I would love to fine tune the videos before being posted. Any and all help/advice is appreciated.

Why pay for expensive rhinoplasty when you can vibrate your nose to new levels!? Continuing the trend of asian good vibrations, allow me to show you the newest Japanese invention to "help" fix your nose. THE "BEAUTY LIFT HIGH NOSE"!!! For just $144 (available from Japan Trend Shop and even Amazon) and three minutes a day, you too can look just as ridiculous as this woman. Wow. LoL Maybe it might help shake some nasty boogers out though. Also, looking at that Japan Trend Shop site can be scary. Some weeeiiiirrrd stuff is over there. Although they DO have something that seems like it might be worthwhile after a night of Taco Bell, or maybe a triple Baconator or two.…

I think I'm settling on getting a nook color. I want something that is backlit and has android tech. It's not all that an iPad is but the price isn't either. Any thoughts from members about this subject? I could use some imput. The price for this product is listed at $249 and seems to be reasonable for what it offers. seen here

So I've been trying to get a new external HDD for a while, but I never had any money. However, I just won a $50 gift card to Best Buy in a school drawing, and I'm going to start saving up the rest. Does anyone have any suggestion on which brand or anything? I'm looking to spend under $100 if possible. Also, it kinda has to be at Best Buy, because of my gift card. Haha

So recently my mouse has been having some issues (mostly with left click holds and the middle mouse click), so I finally decided to get a new one. And I figured why not go all out if I'm going to get a new keyboard and mouse. I've never had a real gaming set before (I've been using a nice Logitech wireless combo for the past few years). The rest is copy/pasted from Facebook because I don't want to retype it all lol. The mouse is a Razer Naga wired/wireless rechargeable mouse with a 12 button thumb grid, which I've already mapped to do all kinds of things like copy, paste, back, forward, refresh, and whatnot. They can be remapped to whatever you want but are especial…

  20. Google's stated reason for the ban is that the Android app allegedly "interferes with or accesses another service or product in an unauthorized manner." This policy is broad, vague, and arbitrary. It isn't clear yet how far Google is going to go in censoring the Play Store. Are they just going to target ad blockers? Ad blockers are not only useful and extremely popular, but also currently the only way that Internet users can effectively protect themselves against non-consensual third party tracking. Or is Google going to follow the letter of its policy closely, in which case we would expect to see other useful privacy-enhancing technologies blocked from the Play Store, su…

  22. I love GrooveShark. I found out they do have an iPod/Phone/Pad app but you have to jailbreak your iDevice to get it but I found one that will work in the Safari app called JamJockey.com. I had talked on Twitter about how it sucks about GrooveShark not having their app in iTunes (of course, for obvious reasons) and they sent me a tweet suggesting to use them and it's pretty good.

I currently have an AMD HD 6870 from XFX (reference-style card) in my PC. I have a friend that is offering to trade me his EVGA GTX 580 for the trade plus I give him $50. Thoughts on this trade? Worth it? Am I going to see a performance increase at all?
