Music

I just got back from seeing Big Head Todd at Irving Plaza in NYC .. and HOLY_SH*T can that guy play guitar!! Good lord what a great show!!

Any recommendations of some easy/free programs to use? I've about worn out my usage of Ezmuze+ on the 360, and i love creating music.

Starting tonight, I'll be hosting a 2 hour radio show on "The Metal Machine" segment of my college radio station, the Lion 90.7. My show airs from 1-3 am Eastern Time every Tuesday (Really Wed.) and I have a co-host Mike. Just thought I'd let you guys know and would love if people tuned in and asked for some requests maybe. You can listen here... or at this link... http://thelion.fm/listen/

So, with recent discussion about it, I figure it'd be cool to start up another music buddy thread. The last time we tried this it started out strong, but slowly people started losing interest. Let's try to get this one more active. If you don't know what "Music Buddy" is, it's a "program" of sorts, where you are partnered up with someone and you recommend one album with them and vice versa. The ultimate goal of this thread is to help broaden the music tastes of people, and possibly make them realize a new genre of music that they like. The way you would get partnered up is whoever posts after you post. For example: I would sign up, and then Peeknuckle would post next so…

HERE is my playlist. Play it at all your parties, bar-mitzvahs, PTA meetings, funeral wakes, or wherever the cool kids like to chill these days. That is all...

Couldn't find my old thread. Another vid I ran across. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KRzt6QngMzg

It's a couple of songs from each band while they were on the Gigantour tour in 2005. Some solid ass kickery there. So far, every song is recorded in high quality and sounds awesome. Click

link I'm not to big into Dream Theater, but I have a few of there albums, and I haven't heard anything by them that I don't like. Avenged Sevenfold on the other hand, I really don't like a majority of their songs.

im in love.... LOL.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Binaural_beats I became slightly interested after hearing about it and doing a little research. Like hypnotherapy, I don't think it would work for everyone. After listening to a few, I can say that not all "work" for me. I certainly did feel strange sensations with some of them. I'd like to listen to the supposed "Hand of God" one, but I'm not shelling out the asking price of $200. LoL

Just wondering if anybody here uses FL Studio 9? I just bought FL Studio 9 Producer Edition today and I'm way more impressed with it than I thought I would be.

eyveryone just wondered. does anyone here play an instrument? If so which ones? What gear do you use? What types of music do you play? I'm a Bassist, I've been playing alittle over 3yrs now, I play a Fnder American Standard Jazz Bass but I own a Squier Vintage Modified Precision Bass which is what I learned to play on. I also play guitar which I've been playing for 5yrs but I prefer bass. Just like my musical tastes I like to play a diverse amount of music from pop punk to alternative to metal. I'm not in a band but I'd like to join one if I met the right people and I'm alittle shy so it would be nice to work up the conffidence to perform infront of a crowd. What about ev…

Just got back from the Iron Maiden concert, it was fricking incredible. Even though they are getting older they all still have loads of energy, Bruce Dickinson was just running and jumping around all the time. A lot of audience participation too, which was nice. And the stage was pretty damn cool. Is anybody else seeing Iron Maiden on their Final Frontier tour? It's pretty good.

Anyone else pick this up yet? I pre-ordered the special edition last night for $13 on amazon. Won't be here til the 20th or so though. But this was the first bit of my paychecks that I've actually spent. It was hard lol

For helping a woman who was being beaten up. N ice to see a rockstar doing that right thing. Hope her gets better, Madina lake have some pretty gd tunes. http://www.kerrang.com/blog/2010/07/madina_lake_bassist_hospitalis.html

Does anyone here like dubsteppp? It's all I've been listening to for like the past week. Sick music if you hear it on a good system. (Ignore the intro on this one)You can do it! - Cookie Monsta Jahova - Rusko Retreat - Datsik

I know I'll probably be made fun of... But I'm going to a Taylor Swift concert tomorow night ahaha. My friend needed to get rid of tickets and I was like **** it, i'm not doing anything Sat night might as well go to a concert. At least she's hot right?

I have a tie. 1. Pink Floyd's The Wall : When we shouted along with the audience to TEAR DOWN THE WALL! And then the rest of the wall came down!(You could have heard a pin drop during Mother...It was surreal to have an entire crowd be absolutely quiet). 2. Kiss' Love Gun Tour: When Peter Criss came out to the front of the stage and sang "Beth". I knew I'd love Rock and Roll forever in that moment. How about you guys???

Alright so I'm having a rave, well technically it's considered a techno party considering there will be no drugs or alcohol. Ok so anyways, this is like my third time having one and I'm running out of songs to play and it's really hard to find techno songs. Does anyone know of any good techno songs or songs to rave to? Thanks

I think it's always good to try to promote local bands. So I present to you: Corey Amaral & The Interpretation They are a really talented local band from my area, the drummer went to my school and is now at Berklee for percussion. I believe all the members go/went to Berklee, so obviously they are a very talented bunch of musicians. Their lead singer and rhythm guitarist, Corey Amaral, also has a deformed right arm which makes his ability that much more impressive. I suggest you give them a listen especially if you like a sound similar to Jason Mraz or John Mayer. http://www.facebook.com/pages/Corey-Amaral/156300782456?ref=ts Interview: http://bostonmusicspotlight.com…
