My father is getting married here soon (a few weeks) and I'm his best woman/person whatever you want to call it. We have been through alot together and I thought I would sing a song during the reception. He has no clue. I'm slipping a cd to the DJ :)Anyway...I've been googling songs and I cannot find one that I like to sing. Anybody know of any good father/daughter songs that aren't super cheesey?

What is everyone's LAST.FM? http://www.last.fm/user/DR3AMxCATCHER

So the What R U Listening to thread is a great way for people here to share music but this site is much cooler and more effective... turntable.fm/gamercide Basically you can have up to 5 people dj'ing at once, each person plays one song and then it goes to the next dj, constantly rotating so everyone can listen/play something. You can have themed listening groups or just play whatever. Join up and everyone can play some music, listen to some new stuff and chat at the same time. Brilliant idea imo. JOIN UP! I'm in there right now.

RIP Jani Lane. =[

So, this band recently released their freshman dics and it has been getting mad air play. Honestly, I can't remember a fresh band that created so much buzz since the Killers dropped Hot Fuss. I saw them play their lead single on Jimmy Kimmel at the beginning of the summer, right as they were about to hit it big, and I just knew they were destined for big things. Also, I watched this video on Vimeo a few months ago and thought the track was pretty sweet. Checked them out on facebook and they only had about 9,000 fans. Big difference now!

So, I haven't written any posts about the concerts I've been to lately (many of them have been work related), so I thought I'd sit down to talk about the U2 show I was at yesterday. To begin, I left my house around 2 pm to go downtown to tailgate with my brother and a friend of mine from work along with his buddy. I parked in a lot near the venue (Heinz Field) so we could tailgate, other lots won't let you grill, drink etc., and parking cost $35! My friend showed up about a half hour later and we started drinking a bit. We didn't have a portable grill so he bought a disposable grill for $6 (an aluminum pan that comes with charcoal and a grill to place on top). That was th…

I also really dug your Lovage project with Dr. Octagon/Gorillaz producer Dan the Automator. Have you guys talked recently? Mike Patton: We talk all the time! He's good, he's in the Congo right now recording with [blur/Gorillaz frontman] Damon Albarn. I'm jealous! Yeah, we're talking about doing another Lovage record. Also, new Fantomas Director's Cut LIVE! http://io9.com/5823783/faith-no-more-singer-mike-patton-dishes-on-the-darkness-2-and-his-adventure-in-a-haunted-hotel http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E1nUBFKCgd8

The music industry and the general quality of music has been going down the tubes for awhile now, but in 2011 I believe we've hit an all time low.

With Full Force 2011 For anyone that's interested in this type of music and has the ability to just up and go to Germany, this is gonna be epic. I already have my tickets in hand, and not to mention that there is gonna be a tattoo convention happening at the same time within the grounds is an added bonus.

I just got back from seeing Big Head Todd at Irving Plaza in NYC .. and HOLY_SH*T can that guy play guitar!! Good lord what a great show!!

Hey guys,

Well I really am excited about this new project I am doing with my friend Kevin Carville, who helped me design nearly all of the ARES sound effects, not to mention a bit on Zero Gear too (he was one of the radio host voices on the Garage radio in that game, ANYWAY). He's also written music for BiteJacker, Jables Adventure, and a lot of little indie games are better off because of him I reckon.

So we've written a lot of incredible stuff together over the last 3 years, and I've known him since I was 4, so that's basically 20 years we've been best mates. Finally we are taking the plunge and beginning acoustic recordings …

Any recommendations of some easy/free programs to use? I've about worn out my usage of Ezmuze+ on the 360, and i love creating music.

Starting tonight, I'll be hosting a 2 hour radio show on "The Metal Machine" segment of my college radio station, the Lion 90.7. My show airs from 1-3 am Eastern Time every Tuesday (Really Wed.) and I have a co-host Mike. Just thought I'd let you guys know and would love if people tuned in and asked for some requests maybe. You can listen here... or at this link... http://thelion.fm/listen/
