I'm not exactly sure how to start this topic off, so i'll just type it all in one go and not edit myself, NO REGRETS, NO WEAKNESS, ONWARD FROTH!!!(its really whipped cream, silly ;D) So. John Dies at the End, NOT a spoiler... or at least i cant verify if it's a spoiler or not, cause that in of itself would be a spoiler, it IS however the name of the book by David Wong. Much like most people with Marble Mocha Macchiatos in hand (upside-down tuxedo, M&M-&M) I will assume you've never heard of him, which is probably for the best, otherwise this post would be pointless and my many hours without sleep unrelated to this post at all would have been wasted in order to get…

You never know who you’ll meet on the internet. Maybe it’s the Craigslist killer, or maybe it’s the author of a book you need to read for your summer school assignment. For Yahoo! user ♥ Idiot America ~ ϟƘƦІןן∑x ♥, the latter held true. He (lazily) took to Yahoo! Answers to have someone else review his summer reading book for him, The Boy Who Couldn’t Sleep And Never Had To by DC Pierson. Surprisingly enough, Pierson himself responded to the post. This kinda spawned from Av's thread, but I was curious. Who are your favorite authors? Personally, my top three are J.K. Rowling (Harry Potter is my favorite series of all time), Cormac McCarthy, and Ayn Rand.

http://www.goodreads.com/review/show/340987215 Wow. This woman rips the book apart in quite a hilarious fashion, animated GIFs included. I love this line. "Christian's supposed sexual prowess makes a bit more sense now, as does Ana's assertion that he has a giant bologna wand. She has absolutely zero experience, and she's never once had anything "in there". Thing could be the size of a baby carrot and she'd still be like, "Oh, my glob! How is it ever going to fit?!"

Long ago, in the magical land of Skyrim. There was a man who embarked on an incredible journey, a journey that made him legend. This man, well, his name was Spaghetti. He was a Dark Elf, Dunmer if you will, with a very strange look about him. He was average height, slender, and everything else seemed normal about him, except for his face. When I first encountered this man, Spaghetti, at the Winking Skeever, I swear to Akatosh I thought that n'wah was going to snap my arm right off my shoulder, and use the bones to smoke his steamed "skooma" or whatever the kids are calling it now-a-days. Anyway, so Spaghetti sat down next to me and ordered a drink. I could see him lookin…

This is another young adult series by Rick Riordan that makes me wet my pants. I'm not sure how many of us read young adult books, but I love them, It has 3 books in total: The Throne Of Fire, The Red Pyramid and The Serpent's Shadow. The books follow the adventures of Sadie and Carter Kane as they learn they are Egyptian magicians and well, they have to save the world..no pressure. If you enjoy YA books, they're def worth reading. I find Riordan to be an incredible author, and dare on the same level, if not better than Rowlings. He just doesn't have the same fame, which is unfortunate because his book are really good.

Anyone read this series of books? I'm incredibly late, but I just started on them. A lot of people I know kept telling me to pick these up, and I never got around to it. I saw the trailer for the movie adaptation and thought it was interesting, so I went and bought all 3. I'm a few chapters in the first one at the moment, but I absolutely love it.

For those of you who dare follow my ranting on twitter I mention my novel, Ricochet a lot. Spawn recently asked if there was a preview up anywhere, and while I thought I had posted one, I hadn't. This is it. This isn't the beginning, it's taken from the middle of the novel where the story takes a turn. I snipped a little bit of it to spare you all some spoilers. Anyhow, grammar is probably atrocious, but it's in it's roughest state. It was an accident. You were driving way to fast on an icy road. Blinded by your anger you never saw the turn coming, although in hindsight you should have known better. After all, you drove this road every day. But everything is different whe…

So I finally just ordered the 4 Volume boxed set of Journey to the West, originally supposedly written by Wu Cheng'En in the 1600s. It's a classical Chinese novel. The version I'm getting is translated by W. J. F. Jenner. http://www.amazon.com/Journey-West-4--Boxed-Set/dp/7119016636/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1297125580&sr=1-1 For those of you who don't know about it, it's the story that inspired Dragonball, and more recently, loosely inspired the game Enslaved: Odyssey to the West. I've wanted to read it for a while now. I had a PDF of it, but I could only read it on PC or PSP, so a physical copy will be much nicer. The story is just insane and right…

Just finished reading All In by, Paula Broadwell. Though, sometime a bit of a love affair with David Petraeus, I doubt it will change anyones already negative opinion on the man. It's still a fantastic read, giving some great insight into the single most influential figured in the modern American military. With alot of very compelling and heartbreaking stories from central figures in his battalion and other who'd worked closely with General Petraeus over the years. And it also touches on his views about support for the war dwindling over the years. The author really got a chance to pick the brain of General Petraeus and found a very dynamic and convicted man. Agree or di…

So it seems the final book in the Inheritance Cycle (Eragon, Eldest, Brisingr) is going to be released on November 8th. I have it preordered and am excited to read it. I started rereading the first three books yesterday and got 66 pages into Eragon already lol (and I haven't read any yet today, since I'm setting my computer back up after my parts got back today). I'm rereading because it's been a while since I've read them, and I want to remember the specifics since Inheritance will be the final book. Anyone else read the series or getting the new one?

I decided to throw this down on the table for fans of the elder scrolls universe. I am a huge fan and have played all the games from start to finish, and with Skyrim just around the corner I wanted the community to know what happened in Morrowind and Cyrodill after the Oblivion crisis ended. With Lord Vivecs absence came tragedy, the giant rock floating above the city of Vivec on the province of Vvardenfell in Morrowind fell onto the land with the same force as if it had just entered the atmosphere, causing the volcano in red mountain to erupt completely leveling Vvardenfell. So all the countless hours us fans have spent in Vvardenfell are now in vein, because the land is…
