March 12, 201214 yr comment_54700 In the year 2148, explorers on Mars discovered the remains of an ancient spacefaring civilization. In the decades that followed, these mysterious artifacts revealed startling new technologies, enabling travel to the furthest stars. The basis for this incredible technology was a force that controlled the very fabric of space and time. They called it the greatest discovery in Human history. The civilizations of the galaxy called it...Mass Effect"Jason Bradley, Twenty-Four years old, born and raised on a Cerberus Space Station. As a child, we moddified him. Turning him into the youngest Biotic in recorded history. Spends his days on Omega after the death of his Mother." The Secretary looked down at the Illusive Man as she handed him the portfolio."Mr. Bradley will prove to be a valuable asset. Send the Quarian to retrieve him." He responded handing back the portfolio."Sir?" She said with a nervous tone, "He blames our Organization for the death of his Mother. Are you sure this is a good idea?"The Illusive Man leaned forward in his chair, taking a puff on his cigarette. "Positive. Cerberus was not the cause of his Mother's untimley death. Let the Quarian know she will have to convince him to meet with me.""But..Sir?""We have intel linking Saren to the Geth, and with this intel, we believe he is attempting to bring back the Reapers." The Illusive Man took another puff on his cigarette and looked up at his Secretary, "If we don't deliver this information to the Shadow Broker, Saren will complete his task. If that happens, Humanity and all other life as we know it, will no longer exist."The Secretary wiped the sweat off her brow. "I...I'm sorry sir. I will inform the Quarian right away." She started walking towards the door. "Sarah." The Illusive Man said."Yes?""We need Bradley, if anyone was able to persuade the Shadow Broker to help us, it would be him. See to it that he arrives here in one piece, Humanity depends on it.""Yes sir, Illusive Man." Sarah said as she exited the room. Afterlife, Omega's most notorious club, was where Jason Bradley had been spending his nights and weekends. His Mother was dead, murdered by Cerberus for sending intel to the Alliance showing corridinates to a Cerberus stronghold called Relay Connection. Jason knew Cerberus was behind it, the stronghold was eventually attacked and later destroyed, which didn't make the Illusive Man very happy. Relay Connection was used for transforming young adults into powerful biotics, training them in horrific ways to make them stronger. Jason knew that stronghold all to well, it was where he was rebuilt. Although Cerberus had a few more Strongholds similar to that one, the destruction of Relay Connection infuriated the Illusive Man. Not even a few days after the destruction of Relay Connection, Jason's Mother was found dead in a pool of her own blood. Leading Jason to believe it was Cerberus who murdered her. Jason sat at the bar eyeballing his glass of Asari drink. He had no idea what the beverage was actually called on a count of him not caring. He stared at the glass remembering all the past events in his life, which incidently wasn't much because of Cerberus and their damn Biotic stronghold. Jason shook the thought from his head and took a sip. "Hey! If it isn't my favorite drinking buddy!" A voice said from behind Jason.Jason turned around and standing in front of him was the guy who had been visiting the same bar everyday, the same schedule as Jason. He was a Turian, relieved from the military on his homeworld Palaven. Like Jason, he spends his days drowning his sorrows with mind altering beverages. Jason and the Turian were what some might call 'good friends' since they talked to eachother every night at the bar, although Jason had yet to get his name."Jason! How's the swill?" He asked.Letting out a chuckle, Jason responded "Same as yesterday, tastes like piss."The Turian patted Jason on the back, then sat down. "Haha! Then that means you haven't had enough!" "Yeah, you got the right." Jason said letting out a sigh. The Turian asked the bartender for a beverage, then looked back at Jason. "By the way, My name is Markus. I decided to tell you before you get drunk, therefor you wont forget again." He said with a sarcastic tone."Well it's nice to finally know your name Markus." Jason said as he reached out to shake his hand. "Ah come on human, we're in a bar. Try to act a little less formal." Markus responded as he once again patted Jason on the back."So Markus, how have things been since yesterday?" Jason asked."Haha! I'm not nearly drunk enough to talk about my feelings. Give me an hour and we can talk. Bartender, two more for me and him." Markus said as he pointed to Jason. "This night is going to be a long one." Markus said looking down at the bar. "I heard that." Jason replied as the two went bottoms up.This is just the intro to the fan fiction. In the next one, the Quarian meets Jason and convinces him to speak to the Illusive Man. Markus of course joins Jason, and they head out to the Illusive Man's headquarters. Report
March 14, 201214 yr comment_54757 It must be tough writing fan fiction. I tried it once, realized I was getting into something much larger than myself, and what I had known about wasn't nearly enough to delve into writing literature about it. Good stuff though, you must be a big fan of ME. Report
