  2. SANDY, OR (KPTV) - A thief broke into multiple cars in the Bluff neighborhood of Sandy and stole some items rarely seen in police reports: sex toys. Sandy police said there are at least five victims, but one woman had the most embarrassing police report. "I can't believe it," said Chelsey Coutts, about her sedan trunk being broken into. "I'm still in shock." And beyond the shock of a rare theft on her quiet street Monday, Coutts said she couldn't believe she had to tell police what someone stole. "It was horrible. (The officer) kind of started laughing, but he felt bad so he asked me to describe everything in detail, and it was just horrible," Coutts said. Coutts had …

So. My internet's been acting up lately (Comcast sucks) and I did a speedtest which showed about 3Mbps down, 10Mbps up (I usually only get 4-6 up, too). Annoying when I usually get about 25-35 down/4-6 up. However, a few minutes ago I restarted the router and got THIS result. Wow lol. Now if it would stay like this that would be amazing, but über fast speeds don't matter when the connection isn't reliable. Here's hoping that things clear up.

  5. A new lawsuit in Manhattan pitting the U.S. Department of Justice against Google offers a rare glimpse of how determined prosecutors are to defend a process that allows federal agents to gain warrantless access to user records, and how committed the Mountain View, Calif., company is to defending its customers' privacy rights against what it views as illegal requests. The Justice Department's lawsuit, filed April 22 and not disclosed until this article, was sparked by Google's decision to rebuff the FBI's legal demands for confidential user data. It centers on the bureau's controversial use of so-called National Security Letters (NSL), a secret electronic data-gathering …

Summary: Microsoft can only hope that it's re-invention of Windows 8, Windows 8.1 aka Blue, works because Windows 8 continues to fall behind even Vista's dismal desktop operating system market acceptance numbers. As for the mobile operating system space, Microsoft needs a miracle. The real take-away from Net Applications' May 2013 release of NetMarketShare monthly operating system statistics is that, as PC sales continue to collapse, Microsoft's Windows 8 sales are helping them to plunge to the bottom. While Microsoft apologists focus on Windows continuing to be the dominant desktop operating system, they keep missing the two elephants in the room: Windows 8 conti…

  7. Oh Florida. You never cease to amaze. 70 year old retired Lieutenant Colonel Ralph Wald awoke around midnight on March 10th to the sound of moaning. Upon entering the living room he discovered 32 year old Walter Conley being quite randy with his 41 year old wife, Johnna Lynn Flowers directly on the floor of the room. Walter also happened to be an ex-boyfriend of Johnna. Rather than disturbing the carnal act, Ralph slipped into his bedroom to grab his .38 revolver, and returned. Ralph shot the man once in the stomach and once in the head, killing him instantly. Now here's the thing. The prosecuters attempted to portray ol' Ralph as a jealous husband who couldn'…

http://imgur.com/a/O6N99 The newest addition to the grand list of Coolest Things Ever is being unveiled in New York today: the Lego X-Wing, the largest Lego model ever built. The model of the classic Star Wars fighter being unveiled in Times Square has a wingspan of 44 feet and comes complete with R2-D2 and a full range of sound effects. It’s a super-duper-sized version ofStar Wars Lego starfighter set #9493 and was made with 5,335,200 Lego bricks. That, according to Lego, makes it the largest model ever built, eclipsing the Lego robot at the Mall of America by some 2 million bricks. This replica of the Rebel Alliance dogfighter is 42 times the size of the Lego versio…

Gaming gives Nori Fox's autistic son Gavin a way to grow and develop on his own. 48 million Xbox Live members. 48 million stories. Nori is a wonderful lady. I've known her (via the internet) for several years. She is also the world's greatest baker of fudge brownies. You can try and dispute that, but you'd be WRONG. I have tasted her fudge brownies and no one can match them. No one. Despite all the negative press Xbox is receiving right now, I am glad they are making videos like these. Someone needs to show the positive side of video gaming, and this for sure is a positive light being shown. Rock on, Gavin!

No, really. But a cool one. Been missing lately more than the norm, because Minon's been training for Battle of the Nations - and I've been both helping out and training alongside him. I'm not going to do it, but can't hurt to build up stamina, right? In case you're wondering what it is, it's basically REAL LIFE Chivalry. And it's pretty awesome. It's essentially a stamina battle, and once you're down on three points, you're considered "dead". It's pretty freaking brutal. There's no "safe" areas, so headshots, everything are valid just like an actual battle. You have to have high grade armour too. Minion's forging some of his own - but things like the helmet e…

I am failing out of college(yet to tell my parents). I need to go away for awhile and figure out what I am actually gonna do with myself. I can't keep pretending that I can make up all of the lost time I took from alot of people. I just wanted to say I loved every minute here, and i'm actually crying a little bit right now. Now I am gonna go let my parents know the last 2 years have been full of nothing but me wasting thousands of their dollars so I could fuck around. I love all of you. -Tyler "Sholtz" Laster

  23. Wow. So a little while ago it was ruled that the government actually needs a warrant in order to physically place a GPS tracking device on your vehicle. Just recently however a judge released a 30 page decision saying that the government absolutely does not need a warrant to request, use, and track your location data generated by your cell phone (and presumably other electronic devices). Basically what it amounts to is unless you turn your cell phone completely OFF, the government is within their rights to track and use that data to their heart's content. Given the ubiquity and celebrity of geolocation technologies, an individual has no legitimate expectation of …
