Been invited by Valve to a showing of co-op mode for Portal 2, but I'm not going. Curious if anyone who is going, would like to take my place.

  3. Topic says it all. Does anyone have a spare code that I can give to one of my good friends in the UK? I'm not home right now, otherwise I'd try to look to see if I had one kicking around the house.

I was an iPad hater for awhile but now I sort of want one. Not to feed into the Apple hype or to look like a trendy D-bag on the train .. but after reading most of Stephen Fry's review and seeing that Marvel Comics demo I think I could get a lot of use out of this thing. I already subscribe to Marvel's Digital comic library, and I think I heard that Hulu will be available on this thing eventually .. so yeah .. I'll likely invest in either the 2nd or 3rd gen of this thing. Any one else?

  8. Did you guys hear about the Apple employee who was "field testing" the prototype for the new iPhone 4? It was even disguised as an iPhone 3GS to avoid any publicity. He was at a bar. Drinking. And left the bar, forgetting the super-secret iPhone he left on his barstool. Who was he unknowingly sitting next to? The dudes from Gizmodo. If you want to, you can check out the article on their site. But really, this dude is pretty much screwed. He'll probably get banned for life from Apple. /facepalm

  10. http://www.engadget.com/2010/04/03/ipad-os-digging-reveals-hints-of-future-iphone-ipod-touch-ipad/ If we're seeing this right, we're looking at not one, but two new mentions of future iPhones (iPhone 3,2 and iPhone 3,3), alongside a new iPod touch (iPod 4,1) and... a future iPad (iProd 4,1). 'Course, none of this gives us any indication of the all-important whos or whens, but at least this confirms that mythical creatures still exist in the hearts of those who believe.

Well, I decided I don't want to have to download my steam games every time I want to play them, and I like to have copies stored locally anyhow. So I started the process of downloading and then backing them up. Man I wish I would have done this one at a time and sooner. So far I have 55,233.2MB downloaded and I'm not even 1/2 way done. Gonna be a long process, but worth it.

  15. It looks like some specs from both new consoles from Sony and Microsoft are hitting the net. Xbox State of the art 16-core IBM Power PC CPU with a graphics processor on par with AMD's Radeon HD 7000-series graphics cards Playstation Custom chips based on AMD's A8-3850 APU and Radeon HD 7670 GPU With those in mind, what exactly are your thoughts on a new console? Are you ready to jump right in, or have you contemplated switching to PC gaming? Do you think this current cycle is ready to be over? Do you think the games for these new consoles will go up in price? [Source of specs - CVG]

Hey all With the announcement of the Halo Reach console bundle, I decided to work on an article about whether or not video game themed console bundles sway your mind in either buying the game or upgrading your system or both. Please be opinionated as possible and feel free to make comparisons with the different video game themed consoles that have come out. Remember your opinions/gamertag will be included in the article like when I did the RE series article. Spanks!

After reading the thread here about Limbo being offensive, I decided to write an article about games and what is considered offensive. So....your opinions are needed once again. Remember your gamertag will be attached to all comments. What makes a game offensive in your opinion? Do you have an example of a video game scene that you thought was offensive or borderline offensive? Or are people just too sensitive these days after all, it's just a game? Spanks

  18. Assassin Creed: Revelations Creative Director, Alexandre Amancio, sat down recently with Game Informer to talk about Ubisoft’s upcoming Assassin Creed game, Revelations. The taped interviews which you can find on Game Informer, shows Amancio talking about the gameplay, historical elements, how Revelations will relate to Assassin’s Creed III, and why Revelations didn’t get a number. “We are setting all of the records straight. We are sort of closing all of the loops that have been started that have been left in suspense, and we’re going to reveal not only alot of stuff about the first civilization plot line, but we are actually going to conclude the Ezio/Altair storylin…

  19. Started by Kevnvek,

I just finished reading the Game Informer article on this as well (very in depth). THIS is the next big Assassin's Creed I've been waiting for. New setting (American Revolution!), new character, and finally getting to whatever's going to happen in 2012. I really hope this wraps up the main arc of the AC story. Sure there can and most likely will be more, but I really don't want it to have all this craziness start happening, then have it just left to be continued in another game. The last couple AC games were still pretty good, but I couldn't shake the feeling that they were just sort of filler after the awesomeness that was AC2. I imagine one day there will be an Assas…

  20. The mystery deepens as EA continues to taunt Assassin’s Creed fans by releasing small images on Assassin’s Creed official Facebook page that flash symbols, numbers, and show what appears to Altair. The latest reveal which appeared yesterday shows fans an assassin that appears to look like Altair. When the image starts to turn fuzzy glimpes of a double headed eagle carrying a sword and shield appear making some wonder in the comment section of the Facebook page if this game will feature two assassins instead of just one. The first two reveals have also led gamers to question if the game will be set in Istanbul, why Ezio’s birthday appears in the second reveal, and if the…

According to the Playstation Blog, Asura’s Wrath, Capcom’s upcoming game that puts hack and slash gameplay in an Asian mythological settings, is planned for a 2012 release on both Xbox 360 and Playstation 3. It’s not your typical action game where you start out with a small sword and work up to a huge weapon; it doesn’t have that style of progression. However there are various stages where Asura can power up – you have already seen here that he started out with two arms and then he has six, and there will be quite a few transformations along those lines. The character you see here is not all there is. You can see the epic reveal trailer here, via IGN’s Youtube channel:…

  25. Internal government documents obtained by the Electronic Privacy Information Center have revealed that the US Department of Justice is secretly helping AT&T and other service providers evade wiretapping laws so that the US government can conduct surveillance on parts of their networks. The legal immunity comes from authorizations granted by the Justice Department through special "2511" letters that absolve carriers in the event that the surveillance is found to run afoul of federal law. The authorization program began as a narrow cybersecurity effort to monitor government defense contractors, but has been expanded to cover critical infrastructure like energy, financ…
