What’s the story behind your gamertag? When I started my Gamertag on XBL there was one name I wanted. Patton. Since the first time I logged onto the internet, my moniker was Patton, after Mike Patton. However, that wasn’t available. While I was thinking of an alternative, I started to think of my grandmother. Whenever we’d go visit my grandparents, they’d always start up a game of Pinochle with my mother and uncle. That name always stuck with me. It sounded so strange and the spelling was weird. Anyways, the correct spelling wasn’t available and I made the mistake of spelling it the way I did. Obviously, I have terrible aim and get urine on my hands whenever I use the bat…

EA is denying a report that went public over the weekend claiming that the money hungry publisher of the survival horror series Dead Space not only ceased production on Dead Space 4, but also canned the whole entire series due to sluggish sales of Dead Space 3.The report being pushed around the internet began on online gaming news website, VideoGamer.com where they claimed a credible source spoke directly to them stating that Dead Space 4 was in pre-production with Visceral Games' Montreal. However, plans changed after EA made a visit to the small studio this past February and it was announced that pre-production on Dead Space 4 was to be stopped. To further complicate ma…

Developed by: Bombajam Platforms: iOS Price: $0.99 Release Date: April 15, 2013 Buy on iTunes As a parent, it's sometimes tough to know what games are going to be fun for your kids. Especially younger kids. We here at Gamercide wanted to do something about that problem. That said, enter our first review (That I can think of) written by one of our little ones. The way I approached this was to allow him to play the game and then I wrote a list of questions for him to answer that are basically the same ones I would answer myself when writing any review. My son is 7 years old and when he heard the idea of being able to get a game, play it through, and then answer a few questi…

Mario, a character that has been around since 1981′s classic Donkey Kong and not to mention the face of Nintendo, has fallen under attack from one of the mosted hated groups ever comprised of people who need a mental examination, PETA. Instead of concentrating their efforts on animal poachers or saving the rain forest, PETA has decided that Mario is a fur hating, animal killer all because of the popular Tanooki suit that resembles a tan raccoon. PETA has even launched a Mario Kills Tanooki website that depicts the fan favorite character taking a real like Tanuki raccoon dog, holding it’s decapitated head, and dancing in it’s blood while the head is some how crying despit…

Just like every other game before it, Mass Effect 3 is getting pre-order content, but of course it all depends on who you pre-order with and if you pre-order it at all. Gamers who pre-order from GameStop will get N7 Warfare Gear along with the N7 Valkyrie assualt rifle. Origin pre-orders will be receiving the AT12 Raider shotgun and the M55 Argus assault rifle. This is where the pre-orders get confusing. Anybody who pre-orders at any retailer will be receiving the M55 Argus assualt rifle. So technically Origin users are only getting one pre-order item and GameStop pre-orders are getting another. All of the Mass Effect 3 pre-order goodies will be available the day tha…

Oh Mr. Payne, it appears that you are really turning out to be a pain. Take-Two has announced that Max Payne 3 has been delayed until May 2012. Reasons behind the delay were not revealed in the press release, however Take-Two stated Rockstar would give details later today. Take-Two also announced a net loss for the fiscal year. They were expecting to make around 1 billion in revenue from their products and instead are reducing that number to somewhere in between $120 million and $239 million. via Take-Two Tweet This Post Post to Facebook View the full article

IGN’s Jessica Chobot has angered Mass Effect fans after her recent comments regarding the backlash of outrage from many gamers over the ending in Mass Effect 3. Chobot who makes a few appearances as reporter Diana Allers in Mass Effect 3 wrote a blog entry where she called gamers whiny for complaining about the ending of Mass Effect 3 and as a result the blog post has been deleted, Chobot issued an apology, and announced late yesterday that she is closing down her blog on IGN. “I don’t want to know anything more about the babsolutly RIDICULOUS whine-fest that entitled gamers are having with Bioware…” ~ Jessica Chobot in original blog post Jessica Chobot shot to populari…

The team at Access Games who are responsible for the 2010 release of the cheesey and quite possibly some of the worse graphics of the modern console era, Deadly Premonition, are looking for help. What kind of help do you ask? Unfortunately, they want to make another game and do not have the financial resources to do it. Swery, the Director at Access Games put out a public call for help on their website and states that “I promise I’ll make something good!” and “I’ll work real hard!” among other one liners that are just begging to be made fun of. If he is relying on those cries for help, Access Games might be waiting awhile before a publisher jumps on that “hit making” tr…

Gamers who purchased the PC version of Deus Ex: Human Revolution from GameStop found out the hard way that they did not receive the promised OnLive code that was suppose to be included with each new copy of the PC game. It’s being reported that once customers got home, cracked open their “new” game, the code was not there, and GameSpy has uncovered an email that circulated to GameStop employees telling them to open each new copy of the PC version of Dues Ex and remove the OnLive code without telling potential buyers. Why do you ask? The following statement from GameStop public relations representative, Beth Sharum sums it up pretty well. “Square Enix packed the compe…

Last week a pair of quick eyes spied an “Xbox 720″ logo in the trailer for the movie based on a 1956 short story, ”Real Steel” causing rumors to run rampent on the internet regarding the next Xbox since Microsoft had to plunk down a pretty penny to get that advertisement to appear in the movie. As more news is surfacing regarding Microsoft’s new supposed console, many are now wondering the console may already be in development. According to Gamezone, several Microsoft employees LinkedIn profiles changed at the beginning of 2011 to reflect working on a new console and a new entertainment experience. A viral video of a woman crying for help and saying that she would be safe indoors, photos of random towns across the world with “No Hope Left” spray painted everywhere, and biohazard symbols popping up along with a date of 19.01.12 which could be translated to January 19th, 2012 have all surfaced on NoHopeLeft.com leading many to believe that a Resident Evil 6 announcement could be coming soon. Team Ghost, would you like me to lay a smack down on your candy ***** or in this case silicone giant fake ***? In what has to be the one of the worst ad campaigns ever in the history of Ubisoft’s Ghost Recon series or no I take that back, video game history, Team Ghost decided to get Ice-T’s wife Coco and her huge *** in on the ad. That’s right I said, her huge giant ***. If you are an *** man, then dim the lights, get a tissue and some jergens because you are going to appreciate this video. However if you are more like me and are shaking your head right now at Ubisoft for thinking so little of us gamers then run along now, there is nothing to see. Who am I kidding,…

A few days ago, Vivendi made the announcement that they were interested in selling their 60% of Activision-Blizzard shares for $8.1 million dollars and of course the internet lit up with rumors as to who was interested in buying the company. Thoes rumors include industry giant Microsoft and that they are in discussion with Vivendi to make that very special purchase that would not only impact the future of Microsoft’s Xbox franchise, but also Sony’s Playstation brand. What would this mean for Sony if Microsoft were to go through with their rumored purchase? Sony could be saying “buh-bye” to seeing a Call of Duty, Guitar Hero, James Bond, or Crash Bandicoot (just to name…

Ubisoft Annecy’s multiplayer game director Damien Kieken confirmed the news that there will be no multiplayer beta for Assassin’s Creed 3 claiming that Ubisoft would rather spend time perfecting the game, then putting out a time consuming beta. “To be honest, it’s something we want to do every year because we get community feedback that helps us tune the game. It is also a good reward for the community that has followed us from the beginning. But doing a beta takes a lot of time; we’d need to polish a version, submit it to the platform holders and support it when it’s out. And all the time put into the beta doesn’t go into the final game. Because we wanted to push so many…
