August 8, 201214 yr comment_61739 An example of parenting skills at their finest. A mother was forced to call an ambulance after her 15 year old son collapsed from a possbile four to five day Modern Warfare 3 marathon on his Xbox 360.Speaking to NBC4 news out of Columbus, Ohio, Jessie Rawlins mother of 15 year old Tyler Rawlins said that her son emerged from his bedroom after a possible four to five day continous gaming session looking pale and his lips appeared to turn blue.“I was very scared. I thought he was going to die. He just fell over three times.” explained Jessie Rawlins to the local news. The mother who cannot confirm if it was four or five straight days that Tyler spent in his room engrossed in Modern Warfare 3 did say that her son came out of his room one time to get snacks, use the restroom, and take a shower. August 8, 201214 yr comment_61741 Put the consoles in the living room! When one whole day goes by and I've only noticed my son left his room one time, his run is over. I wouldn't let my child have a console in his bedroom, anyways, though. Report
August 8, 201214 yr comment_61743 These kind of problems can be avoided if parents were more active in their children's gaming habits. How in the world did she not even if know if it was four or five days and for pete's sake what the hell was she doing while her son was staying in his room that would cause her to not notice and think, "Gee maybe I should check on him and tell him to you know, eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner and maybe go to the bathroom more than once during that time period". She's an idiot. Stupidity like this just baffles the **** out of me especially when it comes to your childrens lives. Report
August 8, 201214 yr comment_61756 I agree with everything that's been said. This is super ridiculous. Plus the fact that the "Xbox is now gone" makes me laugh, like it's the Xbox's fault. Bad parents love to blame everything and everyone else for the lack of attention paid to their children. That's not saying the kid is completely without fault, at 15 he should know better. Stupidity all around, but mostly on the parent. Report
August 9, 201214 yr comment_61800 Bad parenting for sure, but maybe a bit of natural selection. That is, If the kid is 15 and still doesn't grasp the concept of needing food and water to survive. Report
August 9, 201214 yr comment_61802 That's the thing Dat, stupidity in children is pretty much a learned process. Even at 15, if you have crappy parents, you will make stupid decisions. Parents need to be parents and stop using the government, video games, television as crutches and excuses for the bad crap their children do. Spend some time with your kids, get to know them, do things with them. It's not hard to be a good parent and is extremely fun and rewarding. Why can't people see that?!!! Report
