Music

My father is getting married here soon (a few weeks) and I'm his best woman/person whatever you want to call it. We have been through alot together and I thought I would sing a song during the reception. He has no clue. I'm slipping a cd to the DJ :)Anyway...I've been googling songs and I cannot find one that I like to sing. Anybody know of any good father/daughter songs that aren't super cheesey?

I just released my new electronic album, Patterns, on Bandcamp for streaming or downloading (not required). If anybody is interested, feel free! Link: Patterns via Bandcamp Also, sorry for not being on the forums much. I've been busy with school and crap and bla bla bla..

Cory Smoot, guitarist for the insanely weird metal band GWAR who's stage name was Flattus Maximus, was found dead on their tourbus yesterday. No cause of death has been given at this time. GWAR is currently on tour in North America and they were about to cross over into Canada when Cory was found unresponsive and dead on the tour bus. He's been with the band since about 2002 I think and was actually a pretty great guitarist. RIP dude. Keep rocking in the sky bro.

surprised this thread hasn't already been made... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pJPDIfpTm-E

Hey, I have all of my electronic music on my new YouTube channel as well as my Bandcamp page. I don't play games all the time, so music is about the only thing I can contribute. XD YouTube page: http://www.youtube.com/user/cpsofficial Bandcamp: http://countstep.bandcamp.com/

This is the guy from the mystery team movie, and is a comedian. I had no clue he was a musician either and this song is off the hook. http://youtu.be/E7IPOIQoxMw

Del the Funky Homosapien has finally announced that his long awaited sophomore record followup to Deltron 3030 has been finished. Rejoice.

Trevor Dunn (Mr. Bungle, Secret Chiefs 3, etc.) has joined Tomahawk and will be involved with the groups new album. A posting in regards to that over on Dunn‘s official website reads: “Upon arriving home from that tour, after licking my wounds, I need to dig into learning music for the new Tomahawk record. And yes, it seems as though I’m joining yet another band. This will probably make the fifth band with which Mike Patton and I have shared the stage. Duane Denison and I have been speculating about playing some music together for a while. So, Nashville, here I come.” The post seems to imply that the above will take place around March. More details on Tomahawk‘s new album…

I hate most rap almost as much as dubstep, but this guy actually makes some awesome music. http://www.youtube.c...chieBranson#g/u http://richiebranson.com/

Anybody know of a decent MP3 that is not too expensive ($50 or under) and is not an Apple product? I have nothing against Apple just don't want to deal with them again after past issues with an iTouch. I mainly need a new MP3 player just for when I go running in the evenings.

Check out his Kickstarter, too, if you can. http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/dillonhodges/dillon-hodges-debut-album?ref=live His Twitter https://twitter.com/#!/dillonhodges His website http://www.dillonhodges.com/ This guy not only is going places, but he's also one hell of a nice guy.

Color Theory In Discovery, the seven colors of the natural spectrum correspond to musical moods exhibited throughout Ghostly's catalogue. Using mood-color information from the MOOD slider along with the values from the DIGITAL/ORGANIC and FASTER/SLOWER sliders, Discovery creates a playlist of songs that reflect exactly how you're feeling, right now. If anything it's got a cute ghost who will give you a different music experience.

I've become a big fan of Pandora, especially after seeing how much work they've put into it. Although I have a few qualms with the semi-limited music selection it's still by far my favorite place to find new music in genres I otherwise wouldn't find. For anyone that uses it, post some of your most favorite and used stations so we can have a listen! Miike Snow Radio - It consists of mostly bands like The Xx, Miike Snow, Passion Pit, and Phoenix for the seeds. It's a pretty electronic-based station. One of my favorites. bit.ly/OnIH5t Childish Gambino Radio - This is by far my most used and used and expanded station. It's really tailored to my exact listenings for rap and h…

Bought Muse's new album The 2nd Law. I have always been a big fan of theirs since the album Absolution. Muse has always been a good band. They have great showmanship, always put on a good show, and have been able to change their sound without getting completely lost. With this album I had heard they they were going to have dubstep influences and was a little weary of how that was going to turn out. I enjoy good dubstep but it's easy to take it too far these days with everybody jumping on the bandwagon. I was pleased though when they used dubstep on a couple of songs and didn't make that the main focus of the song. They worked with Skrillex and Nero which are pretty…
