May 11, 2010 - Valve announced that Steam will launch on the Mac platform this Wednesday, May 12. On subsequent Wednesdays, additional collections of Mac titles will become available, each designed to highlight specific functionalities of Steam on the Mac. The first collection of Mac titles will demonstrate "Steam Play," which allows customers to purchase a game once and play it on all Steam supported platforms. Gamers who have previously purchased games on Steam will find them available in their account on the Mac as they are released. Portal, in addition to supporting Steam Play, will be the first of Valve's Source engine based games available on the Mac. Native OS/X s…

So, I have had the Witcher since it was released and play probably 5 hours of it. However, I never finished it, and now The Witcher 2 is soon to be on its way. I think it's about time that I played it. It was really good the little that I did play. Would anyone be interested in watching it if I were to stream it to Gamercide? I of course will be streaming some RDR when I get the capture card ( mon or tues. ) but I also want to stream this. However, as an RPG I'm not sure how fun it would be to watch. If it's not worth streaming I will just play it fullscreen without streaming. Anyone interested? It's a good game.

Anyone else play this? When Steam came out for Mac I had to try this game since I don't have a PC. I gotta say it is suprisingly great fun for the price! This will get me through until Diablo 3 comes out for sure and help curve WoW withdrawls haha. Even though I quit like a year ago I still have times where I want to play it but don't want to pay the monthly fee. Cataclysm has peaked my interest though might be hard to resist coming back for a short bit to check it out.

This has finally gone live and I'm going to join up just to test it out. The concept is very neat, but I'm skeptical. I have been trying to find a solution for this for days... I am trying to play need for speed on my pc with the xbox 360 controller but the car always drifts left. Calibrating doesn't solve the issue and using a keymapper does not work because I cannot disable or change the controls in the game. I have been searching on the internet literally for hours and have about given up. Anyone have any ideas?

http://www.techspot.com/news/39727-npd-48-of-pc-games-sold-in-2009-were-downloads.html The NPD is FINALLY tracking digital downloads. Showing that 48% of games sold in 2009 on the PC were digital downloads. I bring this up because they historically haven't tracked digital sales. That's 23.5million hard copies and 21.3million digital ones. Easy to spew PC gaming is dieing when you don't count half of the damn sales! Glad to see they're finally catching up with the times.

I bought Starcraft 2 yesterday, but I can't play it. Everytime I play, it says it needs to update (fair enough) and then goes to update. When it reaches 16%, it stops, shuts down my internet connection and brakes my entire wireless network. I have to restart everything even to use the internet on a different computer. I have no idea why this doesn't work. Its not my firewall because I can disable all of that and it still doesn't work. I was wondering if any of you have the update files or a link the the direct file so I can just download and install the update without the downloader, or if you know why this is being weird. Thanks.

APB: How To Blow $100,000,000 "Just walk away, venture capitalists. All you have to do is just walk away." "If you ever wanted the answer to the question “how to spend $100m on an MMO” (are you listening, Bioware?), the UK is the place to be this week, or at least to review the damage. Three sources from Britain analyze what is, if not a neutron bomb, at least a very explody one, with game industry recruiters already combing the wreckage for cheap ‘acquisitions’ of talent." The official forums are a waste of time. The Steam forums are a waste of time. I have the game installed. No problems. Verified the files using Steam/etc. The game launches, but I see NOTHING. It's a black screen. I can hear background music but there is NO video. I can exit to desktop using the Windows key, and right click the icon in the bottom to close the program, but it won't work. I've updated my vid drivers. Tried turning off all Aero features. Tried running in windowed mode. Tried running it in offline Steam mode. Nothing works. Any ideas folks?
