Is it strictly free for Macs or is it just free on Steam? Work blocks me from going to look. :(

Free for everyone :)

Anyone care to help me? The game is EXTREMELY bright when I try to play it, and messing with the settings does nothing, and I can't find ANYTHING on this

Screen 1

Screen 2

All my settings are set to low or disabled, and those screens are with the brightness as dark as possible.

Looks like it may be a bloom problem. Try enabling bloom or HDR and see if it helps.

If that doesn't work try this:

Open your console with the ~ key ( might have to enable the game developer console in game options first )

Then enter this:

"mat_monitorgamma_tv_enabled" = "1"

then

"mat_monitorgamma_tv_exp" = "2.5" min. 1.000000 max. 4.000000

You can adjust that second setting betwee 1 and 4 to see if you can get the brightness you need.
