Ok, so you went off the beaten path, be sure to post it here.

  1. Started by Kevnvek,

So I'll be going camping for the 4th of July as usual. I leave tomorrow morning and will be back in about a week. See ya'll later. Oh, and I need someone to rant about anime and post overly long comments in threads while I'm gone to maintain order in the Gamercide universe. Any takers?

  4. Started by Bogey,

So last semester for CompSci I had to program the classic boardgame, Battleship. Pretty basic and nothing too complicated since it only had to be played by users and no AI components. Well out of boredom today, I started making an AI algorithm so a player could play against the computer. Six hours later, the AI structure is complete and ready to be tested. Turns out the human player only has 0.27% chance of winning against the computer. My AI is too smart, fail.

So I used to have VS 2008 running on Vista, but upgraded to Windows 7 about nine months ago and just re-installed VS. When I go to run my code without debugging, the command window opens literally for half of a second and then closes so I can't do any user-prompted commands. What's going on and how can I fix it since this didn't occur on Vista \o/ Edit: Nevermind, found the problem.

Did anyone else? This same thing happened to my son some months ago. The email doesn't explain why, either. Just says "subject Enjoy 400 points on us". The email also gives some help in spending your new points. Mostly avatar stuff, but also XBLA and Zune movies etc.

Hey everyone. I've ordered a Gameboy Advance game from the US (the game wasn't released in the UK where I live). I was wondering does anyone know if the game will work on my UK GBA? I know disks are region specific but I think the cartridges aren't I remember my N64 that was brough in Australia worked with games brought in the UK and so did my Gameboy color. Anyone know if this is the case or will I have to buy a cheap US GBA? Any help would be most appreciated.

  14. Well, im trying to get rid of my 4th gen 16gb Ipod Nano(since I got a 160 gig classic a couple months ago), and I would rather not deal with selling online. The best I can really find so far really is Best Buy, though since it wasn't purchased their I would have to send it off and wait a while(which is okay I guess, but I would really like to not have to wait almost a month to get a gift card from them back), and that would be 40 bucks credit at Best Buy. Everywhere else seems to be about 25-30 credit. : /

  16. Wow. Look at this. This is a picture that was snapped by one of the astronauts on the ISS. I know you've probably heard of the Aurora Borealis (Northern Lights), but this is a picture of the Aurora Australis (Southern Lights). From NASA: These ever-shifting displays of colored ribbons, curtains, rays, and spots are most visible near the North (aurora borealis) and South (aurora australis) Poles as charged particles streaming from the Sun (the solar wind) interact with Earth's magnetic field, resulting in collisions with atoms of oxygen and nitrogen in the upper atmosphere. The atoms are excited by these collisions, and typically emit photons as a means of returning to …

  17. Started by Title,

Well, my xbox got the three red lights, for real now. Im out of warranty so I can't have it repaired for free.. but this might be good. It had been freezing for a while now, and it has broken before. Now that it is out of warranty Im wondering if I may as well go get a new Elite rather than have this old one repaired again. I found a Elite for $400 (Australian), which I think is pretty good. It comes with a 120gb hdd, which is good because I've been deleting things off my 20gb for a while now. It also comes with a wireless controller (great since mine is broken and my wired one barely reaches) and a wired mic. At the moment my mic is being held together by masking tape a…

Ok after this thread, I'll make a 'Bogey's Beat thread' and start a compilation of beats I've made. Three's the charm though, right? Anyways, this beat I made is much "darker" and more depressing, but that was my intent. Thanks for listening guys and as always, I'm open for feedback for improvement. http://www.mediafire.com/?zoaw2zum0jn

  20. Ladies and Gentlemen. I'd like you to meet Forthman Murff. The following is taken from MentalFloss.com, and it's a crazy story. Forthman Murff was a lifelong lumberjack who claimed he was personally responsible for cutting down 1,900 acres of timber. In May of 1984, at the age of 74, Murff was cutting down a tree by himself near his home in Gattman, Mississippi, when a branch fell from 80 feet up and hit him in the shoulder. The blow knocked him into a 10-foot ditch. Soon another branch fell and broke his left leg and foot. Murff was briefly knocked unconscious and when he woke up, he could hear and feel his still-running chainsaw burrowing straight across his neck. Th…

  21. Started by Siren,

Hey everyone! So on May 6th at 2:55 pm Logan Caleb was born. It was an easy delivery and he is healthy! He was 7 pounds and 9.5 ounces. (He currently is up to 10 pounds already!) He was 20.5 inches long. You can't see it in the picture below but he has blue eyes and dark blonde hair. It's been an adjustment for our son who will be 4 on June 12th, but he's doing great as the "big brother". I also want to say a quick thank you to everyone for the cute gift that we received after Logan was born. It was the most cutest bear with a Gamercide welcome the newest member shirt on and had a really sweet message attached to it. Anywho, I miss you guys and I look forward to …
