I haven't logged in here for a very long time, and it was long over due to say hello to my internet friends and family. The list at the bottom doesn't currently show anyone logged in, so I'll stop by later and see what is up with everyone. I miss hanging out with all of you and hope we can catch up soon. -Stealthy

H1Z1 has just released on Steam, and a recent change/addition from the developers is causing some serious outcries of anger from the playerbase. Originally the developers claimed that they truly wanted to avoid the game becoming "pay to win". Players could supposedly spend real money in the game to purchase wearable items and cosmetic things, but being able to spend money on immediate weapons/ammo/food was absolutely out of the question. See the following screenshot where they claimed the "whole game would suck" if people were able to immediate purchase such things. And with the release of the game now apparently they've taken a complete turnaround of this minds…

Was reading Gizmodo this morning and came across some mighty interesting stuff. I'll try to summarize a bit, but you may want to check out the original article over here. Tracking cookies and URL requests are pretty common these days, but tracking an incredible amount of your personal medical history, status and other factors should be extremely concerning. It's come to light that embedded within Healthcare.gov are a large amount of tracking URLs and requests that are sending this information to sites like Doubleclick, Yahoo, Chartbeat, and even Twitter and Youtube!! I saw the eagles carrying a small monkey the first time, and I thought that was strange. This time, I'm taking a nice little flight, and I see one grab a goat. Crazy birds!

Joystiq, a gaming site that has existed for a whole bunch of years now, was purchased by AOL back in 2005. It's being reported now, rumor or no, that AOL has plans to close down the website after traffic has declined 18% in the past year. Both Kotaku and Joystiq are reporting the story, but at this time AOL and Joystiq have no comment on speculation (although Joystiq seems aware that it's pretty much bound to happen). Kind of sad, I always enjoyed checking out Joystiq every couple days and also looking out for reviews on their site as well (since I appreciate differing viewpoints)

PK & I started the playthrough at midnight launch and went until 5am. It was fun and a reminder of how fun the Dead Island games are with a co-op run. Of course I had to deal with PK's trolliness (exploding propane, molotov's in face, breaking rooftops, etc.) but that's part of the enjoyment. Weapons, crafting, fighting are all familiar if you've done a Dead Island game and the new parkour mechanics add to maneuverability around the map. At one point we were dangling 100 ft from a water main under an underpass just to get to the next waypoint! A lot of fun and broken limbs, lol. A couple of things came up. Nothing to fret or worry about. We're pushing it back one week and it's going to be worth the wait. So, new date is Feb 7th starting at 6 PM EST and continuing on at 9 PM EST on a live stream to be decided later. Keep checking this thread for updates on which channel and the link to it. If anyone has any questions, please feel free to ask them here. I will not be answering why we pushed it back. It's of minor importance and the giveaway should be the main focus. We've officially entered the generation of expected DLC and missing features with the upcoming release of EA's newest entry into the Battlefield series of games. Battlefield: Hardline is slated to be released March 17th, 2015 with the retail price of $59.99. While this is considered normal pricing for games this generation, EA is offering an additional "Premium" mode at a cost to those interested in the amount of $59.99 on top of the retail pricing.
