  1. When the trailer for the newest Elder Scrolls V was shown at the Spike Video Game Awards last Saturday there excitement, squealing, and then confusion amongst fans of the series who have waited years to hear anything regarding a new Elder Scrolls game. The confusion came from a tweet from Bethesda later that night in which Bethesda said, “Seeing lots of speculation about #tesv game engine. It’s brand new… and it’s spectacular!”. Well consider yourself confused no more, because Bethesda’s Community Manager, Nick Breckon has sorted the issue out. According to Breckon, Skyrim will feature a completely “brand new, internally created, gameplay and graphics engine”. The Elder…

  2. Assassin Creed fans rejoice, because Ubisoft really loves you. Announced on Tuesday from Ubisoft’s camp is that the next DLC coming for Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood will be absolutely free just like the last DLC, Animus Project Update 1.0 released on December 14. Animus Project Update 2.0 looks to be coming to a PS3 and Xbox 360 near you in January. Included in 2.0 is an addition to the multiplayer called, “Chest Capture”. In Chest Capture, two teams of 3 players will be defending or capturing treasure chests. Also included in the free DLC will be a Templar Score feature which according to Ubisoft is “reward diligent work by Abstergo recruits.” via GameSpot View the f…

  3. PS3 owners are outraged over the recent patch that was put out for Call of Duty Black Ops which was suppose to improve the problems that gamers were having connecting to mulitplayer matches. Instead, the patch which went out on Monday has made the problems much worse and PS3 owners want the game fixed and they want it fixed now. Found by Eurogamer on the official website for Call of Duty Black Ops is a thread that was started in the forum for the PS3 version that has been named, “the retard 1.04 patch“. The majority of the complaints seem to be that since this patch was released, the multiplayer is pretty much unplayable with the game freezing within 5 minutes and some …

Some of you may remember back in May, some indie developers got together and put on a cool little pack of games for charity called the Humble Indie Bundle. Enticing you with a hilarious video, you could choose how much you wanted to pay for the bundle, and how you wanted your money distributed between developers and charities. It turned out very successful, and it seems they’re at it again, with even more great games. The best part is you can still choose what to pay. You could donate a pittance, or you could donate a sizeable amount for bonus Karma, or “feel-good points” if you’re not into that sort of thing. Check out the video after you hit the jump 20 pixels belo…

Okay .. so you know that I pull no punches when it comes to critiques, well now I guess it's pay back time. Over the past few weeks I have been taking an entry level course in Adobe Flash at SVA and our final project is to have an actual working website built entirely in Flash. And .. well .. here it is. I'm not a designer and I really hate web design but I need to have an online presence these days to help find a job. I wanted to keep it simple, basic and easy to navigate. It's more of a portal for what I want (and like) to do. I have some of my Stop Motion up, a few things with After Effects (mostly green screen removal) and some of my SPX Make Up. Plus two pages with n…

So I finally got my beastly new system yesterday. Here are the full specs: http://www.ibuypower...aspx?eid=122969 So far I've been able to play Just Cause 2 at max settings at a 1920x1080 resolution at 45 frames per second. It's... beautiful. :') Here are some images. The next thing I need to get is a nice chair, and eventually a new desk. Also a UPS (Uninterrubtable Power Supply) would be good. This monster makes my Xbox and Wii look pitiful. I barely even have space for it, so this setup is mostly temporary. Being very sick, with a bad headache, painfully sore throat, and lack of energy, has exacerbated my lethargy so I haven't bothered cleaning up, there's just …

It’s simple, it’s fun, it’s easy to play, and hard to master. At a price of $4.99 from the iTunes App store some players may feel it’s a bit steep of a price since the average App runs around $0.99 -$2.99. Well this is far from an average App. It’s difficult me for to review or recommend games for mobile platforms such as smart phones and tablets. Most of these “games” can be classified under time …

The details laid out from Kara Swisher’s blog, All Things Digital describes the merger regarding the advertising end. So here's "my" Costume Quest review that Assassin asked me to do for WouldYouKindly. I put "my" in sarcastic quotation marks, because there were quite a few edits I was unaware of when it was suddenly published after I couldn't find Assassin last night to help me reupload the images and finish it. Someone who I won't name for certain reasons from WYK (not Assassin, he has problems with the guy too) made some serious edits to the review and suddenly released it (i.e. hijacked), but for the most part my review is in there if anyone wants to check it out. I think Siren's review here was pretty good, Assassin just wanted me to help him with one for WYK. http://www.wouldyouk.…

Developed by: Mercury Steam / Kojima Productions Published by: Konami Platforms: Xbox 360, Playstation 3 Players: 1 Rated M (Mature) by the ESRB There aren’t many games these days that can boast a history spanning 26 years and more than 30 seperate releases across multiple platforms. The Castlevania series is one of them. Konami has continually reinvented the gameplay of the Castlevania series over the years from the simple two buttons mechanics of the brutally difficult original side scrolling 1986 title. Some highlights include RPG-Lite entries such as Simons Quest and Symphony of the Night, slick touchscreen mechanics from the Nintendo DS titles like Portrait of…
