1. Started by Super Kev,

I've been spending the majority of my time with my PS3 lately and it looks like it's going to stay that way for a while. I've done pretty good sticking to a budget and not buying any new games and waiting till their on sale, but the beginning of 2011 is going to change that. The games I'm going to pick up (likely on release day) will be Dead Space 2 for PS3 (it comes with a copy of D.S. Extraction), Killzone 3 (my favorite FPS series) and the minding blowing awesome/cutest game ever Little Big Planet 2!! I know all of these are PS 3 games and honestly I have no idea what is coming out for the 360 next year. So guys .. what are you looking forward to? When is Gears 3 comi…

This is extremely interesting to me: http://www.google.com/insights/search/#q=%22violent%20video%20games%22 This graph shows how over the last ten years the rate at which media reports on violent video games rises and falls at exactly the same rate! Every year! It spikes in April, then everyone shuts up for the summer.. then right before Xmas it picks up again. I love stuff like this! It shows how robotic and sheeplike humans are. They just do the same thing over and over forever. I understand why soccer moms aren't interested in taking their children's games away in the summer (lol) but why does it spike in April every year?

If you are looking to continue Isaac’s adventure in the Dead Space series with Dead Space 2 then you might want to check out Amazon today. Amazon is running a deal for only today where you can purchase a copy of Dead Space 2 (regular edition) for $39.99, that’s $20.00 off for those cannot do simple math. Released on January 25, 2011, Dead Space 2 continues the story of engineer Isaac Clarke who has lost his memory of the past 3 years and is also battling dementia in a hospital located on Sprawl. Dead Space 2 caused a minor outrage with dedicated fans not appreciating Visceral and EA adding Isaac’s voice to the game, because in the original Dead Space Isaac never spoke wh…

  5.

Analyst Michael Pachter says that, “I’m certain to my core,” when it comes to whether or not Activision will start charging gamers to play Call of Duty online when it comes to the newly announced project that is being taken on Beachhead.

According to G4TV, Pachter said that Project Beachhead will be charging for the mulitplayer and that there might also be charges for weapons or $1.00 each or a monthly subscription to access all of them.

If this turns out to be true, it will interesting to see which console’s sales will go up and if fans will revolt or will fall in line and pay to play.
<br&gt…

  11. Yesterday Sony blamed the “hacktivist” group Anonymous for the late April attack on the Playstation Network that has their online servers down for weeks and angered their users and sparked a congress wide investigation. Now that the investigation has begun the testimonial stage, can Sony point the finger at themselves after recent findings? Dr. Gene Spafford, a professor at Purdue Universtity and a security expert took to the stand yesterday and made claims that Sony knew that their servers were at risk for months, because of out of date Apache software. “….some news reports indicate that Sony was running software that was badly out of date, and had been warned about …

The Columbus Dispatch reported Tuesday that the club, formerly known as Onyx, would change its name to Posh. Noise complaints, arrests and two shootings have occurred at the nightclub in the past year at the nightclub, located in a shopping center off Henderson Road, 10TV News reported. According …

  16. In a paper published July 27 in the journal PLoS One, the researchers tested their drug against 15 viruses, and found it was effective against all of them — including rhinoviruses that cause the common cold, H1N1 influenza, a stomach virus, a polio virus, dengue fever and several other types of hemorrhagic fever. The drug works by targeting a type of RNA produced only in cells that have been infected by viruses. “In theory, it should work against all viruses,” says Todd Rider, a senior staff scientist in Lincoln Laboratory’s Chemical, Biological, and Nanoscale Technologies Group who invented the new technology. Because the technology is so broad-spectrum, it could potenti…

  19. In a case that’s sending a frightening message to the blogger community, a U.S. District Court judge ruled that a blogger must pay $2.5 million to an investment firm she wrote about — because she isn’t a real journalist. As reported by Seattle Weekly, Judge Marco A. Hernandez said Crystal Cox, who runs several blogs, wasn’t entitled to the protections afforded to journalists — specifically, Oregon’s media shield law for sources — because she wasn’t “affiliated with any newspaper, magazine, periodical, book, pamphlet, news service, wire service, news or feature syndicate, broadcast station or network, or cable television system.” The Obsidian Finance Group sued Cox in Janu…

I was looking around the blizzard forums the other day and came across this thread in one of the more recent topics created. While as of now WoW is the only game that I know of that this is effected by I thought it could be interesting to see what everyone else thought of it and how they would react to it if this were done to one of your games. To sum up the thread and what has been happening in patch 4.3, Blizzard has recently created a new feature called Looking For Raid or LFR. The lfr lets you que yourself for the new raid that is out and allows you to more easily find a group of members who also want to down the content. So think of it like as selecting online coop a…

as the title says, I just got into college (I am growing up) been saving up for a while, so I will be staying in a dorm, I'm just doing the basics for now but my primary goal is Graphic designer, for websides and such, or maybe even 3d models for videogames. Been saving up for a while, will properly learn here for like 2 years, and then move on to Denmark or Sweden. So I won't be on as much, might be online on weekends (If I'm not working).. So yeah. Live Long and Prosper \V/ (lol Startrek, even though I'm more into Star Wars, it just seemed appropriate)

  22. According to recent news, Google, Amazon, Facebook, and possibly other major sites such as Wikipedia may be planning a coordinated backout in response to SOPA. If this does occur, it looks like the sites will be taken COMPLETELY down and show only a page urging users to contact their congressmen so they can use their favorite web sites in the future. I can only imagine the impact this would have if it actually goes through... Read more here: http://www.foxnews.c...k-blackout-net/
