Movies and TV

So I'm watching the series with Karen on Netflix instant streaming and we're both now HUGE fans. Sanctuary, for the uninitiatiated, is a SciFi (I refuse to say SyFy) series where the main characters run and work for a refuge for "abnormals". Any type of person/animal/thing that's different from your ruyn of the mill human. (telepaths, elementals, werewolves, vampires, etc.) It's got some great spins on the classic Sci-Fi and fantasy tropes and there are TONS of nods and winks to audience that it's geared for. So, my question: Anyone else watching? Anyone else a fan?

I don't know if this is the cosmos making up for the fact they chose Ryan Reynolds to play GL in the live action flick.... but Nathan Fillion -will- be at least voicing the part of Hal Jordan in Green Lantern: Emerald Knights. Fillion will also be joined by Elizabeth Moss, Henry Rollins and Roddy Piper. My inner geek is jumping for joy.

As one of the trailer blurbs says, "An intellectual horror film". It's all the same stuff my own father has been telling me for the past 15 years. What's good about the film, is that he lays it all out so it's easy to understand. The one core component in the collapse, is oil. It's a finite resource and we depend on it for almost everything we use today. We're past the peak stage of oil production. From here on out, production will be smaller and smaller until it's totally gone. You wake up in the morning, and some of the first things you do, are directly related to oil. Your toothbrush and even the toothpaste, are made with oil. There is no other sustainable energy, tha…

Check that **** out.

As some of you may know, or maybe not, they are making a live action Americanized version of Akira. Albert Hughes (The Book of Eli) is set to direct, but the big rumor is that James Franco would be playing Kaneda. Thoughts on this? Source

I know most everyone probably saw it during the semi super bowl. <object width="720" height="349"><param name="movie" value="http://www.traileraddict.com/emd/34288"></param><param'>http://www.traileraddict.com/emd/34288"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><param name="allowfullscreen" value="true"></param><embed src="http://www.traileraddict.com/emd/34288" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" wmode="transparent" allowfullscreen="true" width="720" height="349"></embed></object>

Anyone gonna watch the royal rumble?

I'm sorry, but after watching the clips located inside the link below, i have only one thing to say. I MUST SEE THIS MOVIE!!! LoL Oh my god. It's ridiculous and yet so awesome! Link Yes I know the link takes you to a site that I don't like to necessarily give page hits to, but this is too epic to not share!

Ok, this is getting a little ridiculous. First the Karate Kid is blasphemed, and now Little Orphan Annie!?!? And who is being eyed to play Annie? The cute little girl with the curly red hair? WILLOW SMITH. Yes, Will's Smith's daughter. /facepalm I'm all for remakes, but this is like casting Eddie Murphy as the Riddler or Jamie Foxx as Lynch in Kane & Lynch. GAH! *Note, please keep things civil. I'm just frustrated over ruining classic movies and roles*

I initially made fun of this film, but the trailers make it fairly intriguing. Hopefully it will live up to it. <br> <br> <object width="450" height="237"><param name="movie" value="http://www.traileraddict.com/emd/24469"></param><param'>http://www.traileraddict.com/emd/24469"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><embed src="http://www.traileraddict.com/emd/24469" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" wmode="transparent" width="450" height="237" allowFul…

it's the best movie of all time. of all time

Anyone here see it? I just saw it and it was a GREAT movie. Natalie Portman and Mila Kunis were excellent. The film should be, without a doubt, a nominee for Best Picture. Natalie Portman should be nominated for Best Female Actress.

Read the full story here. Thoughts? With Robert De Niro, and Joe Pesci, it may not be too bad.

Dolph Lundgren? BWAHAHAHAHAHAAHAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Apparently Mr. Boll, genius filmmaker who somehow got Jason Statham to play a character with the mindboggling simple name of "Farmer", has decided to make a continuance of his award winning saga Dungeon Siege: In The Name of the King. Dropping the Dungeon Siege moniker, In The Name of the King 2 will no longer feature Green Grenades' dream man Mr. Jason Statham. Taking his place, and for some strange reason being cast as Jason Statham's son, is Dolph Lundgren. Are you confused yet? I know I am. LoL I'll just leave you with this blurb regarding the movie which is going to confuse you even more with Ninjas, time t…

We wish we knew how to quit Heath Ledger's Joker. While his tragic passing may have slightly inflated the legend of that performance, its power and intensity is still one of the few things that fans can agree upon almost universally. So, one can imagine going into the upcoming third film in 2012's The Dark Knight Rises, that he'll leave a noticeable gap that may be hard to fill. Well, according to a rumor reported by ShowBizSpy, thanks to the miracle of technology which put Fred Astaire in vacuum commercials and Marlon Brando in Superman Returns, that gap may at least be somewhat filled. Their "sources" are telling them that director Christopher Nolan plan…

People have to be watching it. Has to be one of the best first seasons of a show I've seen in a long time. Next week's Sabotage looks interesting
