I've been following it, have you? It's quiet around these parts. Is it old west, shit about to go down quiet? Or is it suburbia, shit never happens quiet?

So, I want to get my boys family some gifts for xmas. I know little to nothing about his two siblings. I do know his sister is a new nurse! (Hooray?) Would you consider this a lame xmas gift? Maybe I should pair it up with something else...

This guy went to a bar...long story short, he met this broad and they went back to his place. Before they got undressed to do the horizontal mambo, he said, "Listen, I'm sorry but I don't think we should have sex right away". "Why's that?" she said. "Well you see, I'm hung like a baby, and I wouldn't want you to laugh and decide you didn't want to have sex with me. Why don't we get to know each other first, and then when we feel we're ready, we'll do it." So the girl agreed, but only because he was a good-looking dude and pretty nice. Several dates later, they make it back to his place again, and after some conversation, they decide it's time. She undresses and slides int…

Well, I'm half as much of a bum. I'm still living at my parent's for now after the divorce but getting a car finally is a big step. Picked up a 2001 Toyota Celica GT-S with low miles. Had to drive down to Scranton, PA (a bit over an hour) to get it but I'm definitely stoked. It's in great condition. *dances* Of course, I'm sure it's going to handle like shit in the snow up here, but I'll just throw some snow tires on it and not drive like a maniac.

It's not just children who like to build towers with Lego - the internet is alive with discussion on how many Lego bricks, stacked one on top of the other, it would take to destroy the bottom brick. So what's the answer? There has been a burning debateon the social news website Reddit. It's a trivial question you might think, but one the Open University's engineering department has - at the request of the BBC's More or Less programme - fired up its labs to try to answer. "It's an exciting thing to do because it's an entirely new question and new questions are always interesting," says Dr Ian Johnston, an applied mathematician and lecturer in engineering. Looking on the in…

So I was tabbing through the news articles on yahoo's front page because, well ill be honest, I like to find the ones with pictures and see cool stuff or occasionally come across something that is just bizarre or different. anyway, i clicked on one about 11 ridiculous petitions that people have started, now there is one to build the death star for real a long with a handful of others that made me chuckle. But holy crap there is an actual petition to get a statue of Master Chief made and placed on the White House lawn. It has less than 2 weeks to go, and needs way to man signatures for it to pass but damn. https://petitions.whitehouse.gov/petition/build-statue-master-chie…

Illinois State Senator Donne Trotter is charged with felony after allegedly trying to bring a handgun and bullets through security at Chicago's O'Hare International Airport. Cook County State's Attorney officials say Trotter is charged with attempt to board an aircraft with a weapon. Officials say a TSA agent discovered an unloaded .25 caliber pistol and clip with live rounds inside Trotter's garment bag around 8 a.m. on Wednesday. Trotter allegedly told security agents he worked the late shift at his security job and didn't realize the weapon and bullets were still in the bag. He was on his way to catch a flight to Washington, D.C. He remains in police custody and will a…

Bluffdale facility in Utah that's talked about in the video http://www.wired.com/threatlevel/2012/03/ff_nsadatacenter/ Some may balk at watching this, but it's good stuff to know. They won't use this information to find illegal activity. They'll just secure it and use it whenever they need it. Take General Patreaus as an example. All they had to do was sift a little through his emails and they had what they needed to hurt him. Anything you've written on the internet is being copied and stored to be used against you at their discretion, if they ever need it. Link about the secret room at AT&T in SF that used a Narus STA 6400 and data-mined traffic through that …

So my TV came with two pairs of these: They are boring. Passive 3D glasses, two lenses polarized differently to allow you to see a 3D image. Same exact design as the glasses you get from the movie theater, of which I still have two pairs (after throwing away the horde that I had since I never throw them away). These steampunky goggles are eight bucks and some change: They look awesome. The lenses can also be replaced: My plan: take a pair of the cheapy theater glasses, remove the lenses, and cut them into the right size to fit into the goggles. The lenses appear to be a thin film, so it shouldn't be too complicated. Projected result: Creating a more awesome looki…

Came across this image via Twitter. Seems to me that this cardboard promo for Walking Dead, would have taken a few days to produce and ship out to the various retailers. Why then, would voting remain open just moments from the awards show going live? Is it treated like promo gear for championship sporting events? Make two versions of the hats and t-shirts for both teams in the final. Imagine a clear winner being chosen and you make all the promos to rush out to retailers, and a sudden surge by the #2 in voting pushes past the clear winner? Lest we forget

So there was a little stall at my local gas station on the way home today. They were selling swords, daggers, and stuff. I saw these and had to buy them. Sold as a single unit, got them for $35. Not sure why the webcam picture came out so low quality though.

Lesson 1: A man is getting into the shower just as his wife is finishing up her shower, when the doorbell rings. The wife quickly wraps herself in a towel and runs downstairs. When she opens the door, there stands Bob, the next-door neighbor. Before she says a word, Bob says, "I'll give you $800 to drop that towel." After thinking for a moment, the woman drops her towel and stands naked in front of Bob. After a few seconds, Bob hands her $800 and leaves. The woman wraps back up in the towel and goes back upstairs. When she gets to the bathroom, her husband asks, "Who was that?" "It was Bob the next door neighbor," she replies. "Great!" the husband says, "did he say anythi…
