Ok, so you went off the beaten path, be sure to post it here.

  1. Ok. So maybe it's not the vault from Fallout, but it's still pretty cool. They're digging massive caverns under Chicago to keep sewage from flooding into Lake Michigan. http://bldgblog.blogspot.com/2010/09/artificial-caverns-expanding-beneath.html Don't be mad about the misleading topic title though! LoL

So I shattered my left wrist and had a plate put in yesterday. I've tried a few games but using the left joystick is pretty painful. I've exhausted the interesting titles on Netflix, rented all the good movies from RedBox, and the boredom is sinking in. Can anyone think of a fun game that uses very little left analog? I'll be making a trip to a game store later to try and remedy this.

  4. Two scientists programmed a bunch of robots to play hide & seek. What they're researching is how to make the hiding robot "deceive" the hunters. Great, now we're not only going to have robots that will hunt us down and kill us, but they'll be able to hide and cover their own tracks so we'll have NO EFFING CLUE where they're coming from!. /facepalm "The hider's set of false communications was defined by selecting a pattern of knocked over markers that indicated a false hiding position," explains Wagner. This fiendish plan apparently fooled the hunter droids 75 per cent of the time. "We have developed algorithms that allow a robot to determine whether it should …

We took our first scenenic drive last Sunday. We drove out the Oregon Scenenic Byway. There are several waterfalls, and it runs along the columbia river some of the way. I loaded them to my facebook, so I'm gonna just post a link to that and hope it works... Link. We are still loving Oregon. Shane really likes his new job too. We are pretty sure he will make more money here than his last. Right now he's still on training pay. But by the looks of the loads he's doing now, he should be able to pull in 5-6 a day, at $50 a load. Right now they are pulling in 3-6, but the thing is they are pulling illegal right now (meaning they are loading more fuel than legal.). When he star…

Well. I'm going out of town for the next week. I'll have my phone with me so I'll drop by from time to time, but I'll be scarce. If anything major goes on, such as Avahra crashing the forums again, you can email me, and I'll get to it as soon as I can. dateranoth@gamercide.org I'm out tomorrow night, but I wanted to go ahead and post in case I don't get time to stop back by. See everyone in a week.

  14. Sad. Ironic, but sad. The multi-millionaire owner of the Segway company died Sunday when he fell off a cliff while riding the famous motorized scooter, the Telegraph reports. Jimi Heselden, 62, died after skidding off a cliff at his estate in Yorkshire, England. He was reportedly testing a cross-country version of the upright, two-wheeled scooter when he plunged from the cliff. Heselden's body was later found in a river by a passerby, the newspaper reports. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/8027301/Segway-company-owner-dies-riding-two-wheeled-machine-off-cliff.html

  17. 4.0 out of 5 stars Slide Back Into the Game! October 12, 2011 By Jerome Albertson I knew getting back in the "dating game" would be a challenge after being out of it for over 5 years. When I was released from Joliet, I had to learn all the new things "the dating crowd" was trying. I knew about scented candles and Luther Vandross CDs, and sure was glad to hear people still use them. But I had no idea that "lube" was so popular with the "romantics" out there. All it took was one stroll through the Walgreens personal hygiene aisle to prove I had to learn a new thing. "Where to start?", I wondered. I wanted something simple. However, all I saw in the stores were lubricants t…

  18. There's a new Mac trojan that's been floating around, and it's terrifying everyone. It's written in an unknown language, doesn't even need your password to compromise you, and now it's apparently infected 600,000 users. 19. Soooo, I was reading Geekologie today at work (that site makes me laugh frequently) and of course the following information gem was brought to my attention. Apparently on Amazon there is a Miley Cyrus "Love Doll". *shudders* I did not know they made such a thing, but I guess they make EVERYTHING now a days don't they? Anyways, it's extremely amusing to me to see what was listed in the "Customers Also Bought" section on the webpage. Who knew that Dragon Age 2, its respective strategy guide and seasons of Dragonball: GT went well with blow up dolls? ROFL! Here is a screengrab from Geekologie: Aaaaaand, just for the record here's the link directly to Amazon also from G…

  20. So apparently it's National Science and Engineering Week in England so the Birmingham Science City did a survey of a few thousand people over there to ask them if things do or do not exist yet. While the sample size of the poll is probably pretty small, and who knows exactly the type of people they talked to, apparently some people are pretty retarded. LoL http://www.birminghamsciencecity.co.uk/news/time-to-turn-on-the-tardis/ Perhaps inspired by TV favourites such as Doctor Who and Ashes to Ashes, nearly a third of Britons (30%) believe that time travel is actually possible. The results were revealed in a survey, launched at the start of National Science and Engineeri…

Anyone following MMA, or the UFC in particular knows who Chael Sonnen is. He beat the snot out of the current middleweight champ for almost a full five rounds, only to be caught in a triangle choke in the last seconds of the final round. He's been creatively calling for a rematch for a long time and finally got it. The rematch is June 7th. This interview is just par for the course for Sonnen. He absolutely cracks me up. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BAH2NqfEIqA

Peter Molyneux, talking about the prototype creature in Black and White. "Well, [here's] an interesting fact that may or not be true. One of the sausages reminds me of the first prototype we had of the Black & White 1 creature." "I for some reason had this obsession to make them anatomically correct. So the first version of this giant ape had this sort of beautifully physically correct - I'm going to say the word - penis dangling between its legs... which morphed depending on how excited your creature was." "The idea was [that] there was going to be two creatures... I don't know what was going through my mind. I wasn't even on class A drugs! It was this bizarre thing.…

  23. So, I figured it'd been a while since we all showed off the furry loves of our ives (Or the naked ones in the case of children) I know most of us have pets, so show us a picture, tell us a story. This is my baby, Ralph! This pic as taken right after I had got out of the shower. I had been working a lot of overtime this week and in an while I was showering he decided to line up all his toys and patiently wait for me to come out, a little way of saying we hadn't been playing very much that week. I'm lucky I got the picture, he's usually not a fan of sitting still.

Let's talk about our pets! Cats, dogs, lizards, snakes, rats, birds...whatever. Post em! This is Rex. He is a one (soon to be two) year old German/Australian Shepherd and Husky mix. He is one of the most derpiest and goofiest dogs you will ever meet. He is also loyal and the best dog you could ever want around kids.

Pretty much every day now I get a new friend request from some new account that's level one and owns one very cheap game. Last FR had one game and it retailed on the Steam store for fourteen cents. Apparently these are Phishing accounts. You go to add them and Steam apparently asks you to login. Don't. It's set up that way so they can get your Steam details. Someone made a guide. Don't know how old it is, but it seems to cover it well. http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=292168825 If you do add someone new and you don't know them, do not click any links they send to you shortly after accepting their friend invites.
