I'm not writing this up, but I thought you would enjoy the funniness of this title. The article is about possible Ghost Recon and Assassin's Creed movies. Eurogamer.net called the article "Ghost Recon/A*s Creed Films". I'm dying of laughter right now, although I'm easily amused. http://www.eurogamer...ed-films-coming

The disaster that seems to be swirling around THQ’s day old release Homefront keeps getting worse. Walmart and Amazon have both already discounted the price of the much hyped first person shooter PS3 and 360 versions to $41.96. For Walmart that includes in store and online purchases. No news on whether this is permanent or just for the time being. via Thrifty Nerd Tweet This Post View the full article

THQ is dealing with a rather large headache this morning as news surfaces that their shares dropped 21% yesterday as mediocre reviews rolled in regarding their newly released future based game, Homefront. The first person shooter received an average 72 out of 100 for the Xbox 360 version from Metacritic and reviews that are pouring in from websites such as IGN, GameSpot, and Digital Trends are centering around a mediocre score of 7 out of 10 with suggestions that the campaign is too short and the content in Homefront has already been done by other games. Fans are expressing their outrage on Homefront’s Forum over players that have already begun using cheats in the mulitp…

Nintendo’s Game Boy Advance which has seen three different designs since it’s release in 2001 is officially on it’s way out as Gamestop announces that they will no longer be accepting Game Boy Advance handheld devices or games. According to Joystiq, on April 2 the gaming retail giant will no longer be taking anything that has to do with the 11 year old handheld. Whether or not this will change prices of the handheld remains to be seen as Gamestop’s current prices for a Game Boy Advance are ranging from $44.99 to $24.99 and have not adjusted yet. via Joystiq Tweet This Post View the full article

If you’re like myself and millions of other legitimate users of Microsoft’s Xbox Live service, when you need Microsoft Points to purchase some new downloadable content you do the normal thing.

You buy them. With your own money. On your console or from a store.

Unfortunately for Microsoft however a small group of hackers have recently cracked the algorithm used to generate those familiar 25 character codes in order to obtain literally millions of dollars worth of space bucks in a less than legal fashion. A website devoted to hacking, modding, cheating and other irritating things most of us loathe threw up…

Best of luck to everyone who may be affected. Stay up to date with your local news, and follow their instructions. If they say get out, do not pack, do not hesitate. Just go. So far, the Tsunami may hit Hawaii, Mexico, Australia, the entire West Coast of the US and Canada and many other spots. Be safe everyone. If you are affected and can reach the forums (or any other way IM etc), give us a shout out so we know you're okay. If you need anything, please let us know. I'm currently on the phone with my family in the Bay Area. Pretty scary shit and feeling pretty helpless, which I hate. Update. While many bad things are still going on, the tsunami doesn't seem to be as bad a…

Imagine running down the street, pulling out a brightly colored vibrator, and smacking random strangers with it. You will be able to do this in Saint’s Row: The Third. Now imagine running down that same street and taking a jar that you previously farted in to and tossing it like a grenade at some unsuspecting stranger. This you will not be able to do. Make sense? Didn’t think so. The team behind Grand Theft Auto’s worst nightmare, THQ”s Voilition talked to Game Informer about the not allowed “Farts in a Jar” idea and described censoring the latest installment of the franchise to porn. “It’s like defining porn. I can’t define it, but I know when I see it,” stated Seni…

It might be a little early for April Fool’s day jokes, but Sony has already pulled a fast one on gamers looking to pick up the PSP Go. On Thursday, Sony dropped the price of their PSP Go from $199.99 to $149.99. Today in a rather strange move, Sony took the price cut back and has returned the price of the PSP Go back to $199.99. Sony has not released any statements regarding the price cut and the price jump. (Thanks Chris!) via Gizomodo and Slash Gear Tweet This Post View the full article

All three listings mention "next generation console architectures from conception through implementation," suggesting that Microsoft is still in the early stages of work on the next generation Xbox. During GDC 2011, Gamasutra Editor in Chief, Brandon Sheffield and Game Developer Magazine held a discussion with some of the most successful Xbox Live Indie Game developers including James Silva, Robert Boyd, Nathan Fouts, and Ian Stoker. They all provided insight and a little bit of ranting about the games that they create for the indie lineup. According to James Silva who created the 2009 successful indie title, I MAED A GAM3 W1TH ZOMBIES 1N IT!!!1 which has sold 308,000 copies since it’s release in 2009, the developers are not allowed to create games involving killing things like Nazi’s and hunting people. “That’s like an inherent human right that’s been taken away…

For those of you looking to purchase the first set of Mass Effect 2 detailed little miniatures, you will be waiting a bit longer. The first series of Mass Effect 2 look alikes that are being made by DC Direct were originally suppose to be delivered to stores in August 2010. That shipment was delayed and the figures were then given a new date of February 2011. Now it does not look like that is not going to be happening and Mass Effect 2 creator Bioware is not happy with how DC Direct is handling the situation and it appears that the second series of figures that DC Direct were also suppose to create has disappeared off of their website. “On the ME2 Action Figures it look…

Source; Cnet.com After reading this article I have to agree with the opinions of the analysts. I've seen the smartphone and the tablet take a huge step forward as far as usability and transportability. It's much more prevalent in the ARMY now as well, with everyone in my company having a smartphone or tablet that they use for their daily operations. It used to be pen and paper they carried around. Now, whenever my platoon sergeant has some info to put out to the platoon, he pulls his iPhone out to read the notes he took during his meeting with the higher up staff. I find myself using my iPhone for many things as well, such as writing down maintenance notes or downloading …

Ladies and gentlemen. Boys and girls. Children of all ages. Gamercide proudly brings to you an all new site design. If you don't frequent the main site, I urge you to do so and check it out. A lot of work went in to getting it done and setup correctly. I can't thank Dat enough for working so hard on the Live Streaming page. He's done such an awesome job making it match the main site and dealing with all my flighty changes as I've made them. I'm still working on getting the new forum design going to make it match a little better, but for now they look good together and everything should work well. If you run in to any problems, please PM me or post it here. Thanks f…
