This is a poll for the gamer stereotypes article. The answers are not suppose to be about who you really are, but rather what do people think when they see you buy a game, etc...

I'll keep this poll open throughout the week :)

I don't think I fall into any of those stereotypes. I think I look like a casual gamer. people will look at me and say he looks like he enjoys to buy an xbox game now and then but does other stuff too. I don't think I physically fit any of the stereotypes. I'm not fat, I have a thin and athletic build and although I'm quite into other "geeky" media like comics and anime people wouldn't guess by looking at me so I say none of the above.

id choose the

"The "Average" Gamer Who Lives in Their Parent's Basement, Eats Nothing But Pizza, Has Violent Tendencies, and Rocks Out to Death Metal"

but id remove the violent tendencies lol.

I almost hit the first one, but im not the pc gamer that thinks consoles are silly. i play way to many games a week but dont fit those stereotypes. i still go out with friends every week, i have a girlfriend that i spend lots of time with, and even she plays video games too. im not all muscle but im not real fatty either. ive met alt of people over the last several years that ive been gaming and i dont think ive met but a small handful that could come close to the typical stereotype for a gamer

I'd say that I don't fit into any of those but if we're talking about the "public" opinion I'd say the average gamer. No one I know in real life knows I play games though. :ashamed:

Is this more about how our game choices typecast us or how people perceive us when we walk into the store?

well it was a choice between the first one and the last one.. bc i do think consols are silly when u have a cmputer... but i also have console but hardly play it bc i hate not having a keyboard and mouse in front of me:) LOL

so i choose first one just bc:)

Lol. I used the "consoles are silly" thing with the PC option, because the main stereotype for PC gamers is that they believe that gamers who play on consoles are not "hardcore" enough, lol.

What do people think when they see me buying a game? Not sure. I fit none of those categories. I'm married, employed, own my own home, have average body mass and eat well. I guess I defy logic...lol.

And you also don't play online with any of your friends like you say you will. :)
