A study of 42 gamers aged 15 to 21 who played for at least ten hours a week revealed that most have experienced ‘games transfer phenomena’ – doing or thinking things in real life as if they were still in a fantasy environment. The report said a few participants reported ‘criminal thoughts’ such as recreating Grand Theft Auto, which awards points for ‘wrecking things and killing people’ while they are driving. Oh man I've got such a bonner for MGS 4 right now I've completely ignored all other games. Yes even Fallout 3, Shadow Complex, and Borderlands. If any of you sent me game invites .. (actually only PK does) and I ignore them it's cause Tam and I are watching The Office on Netflix or she's working out with Wii Fit and watching Netflix. I can't stop playing this game .. and holy crap does it deliver!!! Now I know this game isn't for everyone and honestly if you didn't play the series since the beginning of Metal Gear Solid on the PS1 (**** it even makes references to the first game on the NES) you'll be totally lost and likely rather bored with it. This game took me about 2 …

I'm a VERY sad panda at the moment. First off, I'm pretty broke right now. Thankfully the wife starts her new job next week but won't start getting paid till the end of July, so I can wait, but it still sucks. I bought a 52" Sony rear-projection TV about eight years ago now. I got it brand new direct from Sony at a great price at the time (about $800). It's been a champ, it really has. Never had a single problem with it. Well, for the past year or so it's definitely been on its last legs. The screen has progressively been getting pretty blurry but it's been totally usable. Coy just called me and told me that the TV totally died. Well, not TOTALLY, but half the scre…

  13. A Minnesota waitress and mom of five couldn't believe it when a stranger left a $12,000 tip in a to-go box on her table. Now she's in an equally unbelievable legal battle with the Moorhead Police, who seized the money, citing its "strong odor of marijuana." The officers say the cash is part of a drug investigation; the waitress' lawyer counters that the police have stolen an anonymous Samaritan's gift to a woman with well-known financial problems. The police won't release the cash for an independent drug test, although a pair of restaurant employees who are "familiar with [marijuana]" said it definitely wasn't weed-scented. "It smells of unfairness," Ritchie says. http://…

My uncle sadly died this morning, as he was killed on site via an accident. He was backed up over by a bulldozer. He was an amazing man. He had beaten intestinal cancer, and had been in remission - as well as coming extremely close to beating another disease that had plagued him since cancer struck him. He was a kind, gentle person, and we were very close. Life is ridiculous. Enjoy the moments you have with those you love. You never know when bullshit is going to strike. Love you guys, don't ever die on me or I'll be hella pissed.
