Sony details what you affected customers can receive

Featured Replies

Pretty cool of Sony. I would get InFamous and Little Big Planet for sure if it's available to newly registered users. And if I hadn't just gotten LBP lol. I don't regret it though, it's a GotY version with "$30 worth of bonus content" including some freaking sweet Metal Gear Solid outfits, so I guess I'll just have to pick another. I heard somewhere that it might be available to new users. I don't see why it wouldn't be, it's an incentive for people to get PS3s and sign up, just like Gamestop having the discount during the down time and giving me incentive to get one in the first place.

That's pretty nice and honestly worth a lot more than paying for the PS+ and only not having access to it for 22 days (it's less than 10 bucks a month).

Hope they do this in Europe, would like to get Infamous for free :D

Already own LBP so would probably go for Wipeout.

Knowing how Europe usually gets treated by game companies, we will be asked to pay for the US copies :P

i'll be a little miffed if people wose information wasn't compromised get the same stuff as people who've been using it for years and was directly affected.

Actually "nice" would be me not having fraud alerts all over my accounts. "Nice" would be me not having to call my credit card company because $3500+ worth of charges showed up on my bill. "Nice" would have been Sony doing their job and keeping our information secure. That wasn't directed at you necessarily Kev, just the Sony fanboys in general that are okay with accepting this and moving on or holding the company up on a pedestal and saying they are doing a good job with this situation. They handled it poorly and there is nothing they can do to make them seen any better in my eyes.

What is Sony going to do for the people, like me, that own everything on this list already? And yes, that is a very rhetorical question.

I agree with Spawn. Their responses in press releases and in the media in general have been shady and I do not agree with them putting the blame elsewhere especially since Sony was aware of their software being out of date.

If this makes Sony users happy then that's all that matters, however from a media standpoint they are just trying to save face and the people will fall for it like with any big name company.
